Okay, let's settle this for once-Law, Neutral or Chaos?

>>
>>46285453
That's gonna suck when you actually get to 40k and have to overthrow the imperium for the injustices it's inflicted on humanity, unless you consider the whole Astronomicon sacrifice thing to be justice.
>>
>>46285736
Well considering the fact humanity would die out without it, they'd be a bit stupid to complain.
>>
>>46285358
Depends completely on the universe and legal system/authority in question.
>>
>>46285736
I''m not so blind that I don't stop when the alternative to tyranny is only a worse tyranny.

The Imperium is necessary. It could be better but it could be a whole lot worse
>>
>>46285673
But Chaos and Order are neither good or bad. There are tyrannical dictators in the side of order, and benevolent freedom fighters in the chaos side.

Chaotic Good is still Chaotic.
>>
For Pokemon, do you stick to them only knowing four moves (as long as they are in the Pokemon world)? Do you even keep track of those moves, or do you allow them to use any moves that they are capable of learning?
>>
>>46286532
It seems incredibly silly to me to limit them to having only four moves. It's useful as a game mechanic, and probably even as their primary moves, but it's doubtful that those would be their ONLY abilities when you're actually there for ten years.
>>
>>46285358
Oscillating wildly from one to the other.

So sort of chaos but more erratic.
>>
>>46286570
I always imagined moves as quasi-magical abilities that they can only have 4 of at a time, so for example if you taught a Scyther swordsmanship it wouldn't necessarily mean that it knew slash, but if it did know slash it could probably combine it with its skills to do more damage.
>>
>>46286570
>>46286651
Indeed. I ask because the anime, too, followed the four-moves-limit (aside from a few exceptions in the earlier seasons).
For example, since Pikachu used Electro Ball for the first time, it has never used Volt Tackle again.
>>
>>46286712
I think that's just a product of the animators and writers going for simplicity.
>>
>>46286737
Keeping track of moves sounds harder than just using whatever you feel like though.

But it's not like there's a right or wrong answer here, I was just wondering how people here ruled it.
>>
>>46286794
I completely ignore the move limit personally, to throw my hat in there.
>>
>>46286001
If you mean that it's hard to adjust on the fly then i'd agree, barring some rather useful build choices like Uncanny Forethought.
On the whole though there aren't a lot of things you can't do with D&D magic, even with the focus on combat that published material has.
Add in the ability to research/create new spells and D&D magic can do whatever you need, and it has a pretty decent power level and variety of effects.
>>
>>46286822
I ignored it for my Pokemon, but Mystery Dungeon explicitly has the move limit, so my Pokemon have more moves than my Alt-form does...
>>
>>46286940
Don't flaunt it around here too much, but if you're like me and you think something is petty and stupid in a jump and it doesn't have some kind of wider impact or purpose you just ignore it.
>>
>>46286953
The problem is PMD has a perk for getting to use a fifth move.
>>
>>46287002
If you were just going to ignore it you obviously wouldn't buy that.
>>
>>46287015
Yeah, but the issue is that the Jump doesn't just say "oh, you can only have four moves," it bases other options around the idea that four moves is the baseline. So it's goes past ignoring a stupid thing into the level of "I get extra CP because I want it."
>>
>>46287068
I don't understand why you think someone committed to ignoring something they think is stupid in a jump is going to be deterred by that. They've already expressed the idea that they don't care about ignoring the rules if they don't agree. A second rule to ignore means little.

Seriously, accusations and complaints about how I behave are not gonna have any effect on me, no matter how many you throw.
>>
>>46287166
>Don't flaunt it around here too much
Please take your own advice.
>>
>>46287178
Would have if you hadn't felt the need to try and 'reason', anon. Kinda your fault for wanting to talk about it.
>>
>>46287192
I'm not that second anon, and if you don't want to talk about something and won't listen to reason regarding it, don't bother to post it. You're not adding anything by saying "yeah, you can cheat, and nobody can stop you." We all know that already.
>>
>>46287225
>'reason'
Ah, here comes the offense. That self-righteous attitude over how others play the singleplayer game.

I'm giving an anon advice and telling 'em how to avoid you types and your intense autism. Me personally, I don't care how much you complain at me. It's pretty entertaining. You can keep going all you'd like, ruin your thread and make yourself sad and depressed about the state of it because of your own horrible habits of picking fights with each other over minutia. No skin off my back at all.
>>
>>46287256
It's cute you think you're any better. You're playing the exact same Mary Sue themed masturbatory fantasy I am, and getting even more self-righteous about it.
>>
>>46287458
But anon dear, I'm not getting mad about it.
>>
>>46287502
People who aren't mad don't feel the need to stress how not mad they are.
>>
>>46287620
Are you really trying some kind of low rent trolling? Geez anon it's like you care more about your pride than you do the thread.
>>
>>46286940

Can't you just buy a bunch of TMs in Pokémon Trainer and/or learn how to make them, and then use them to switch the four moves you have available at a time when you have a chance to use them?

Sure it would take time and money to set up, and research/tech perks, but those aren't that hard to get.

So it seems Fate/Extra will be getting an anime adaptation done by studio shaft with Nero as the heroine. Which means no Tamamo shaft neck tilt shot, or Tamamo in general. I'm in despair. The internet has left me in despair.

>>
>>46289509
I posted this the last time and I'll post it again.
>Type Moon Tamamo
>Same as mythological Tamamo
I mean do you know anything about how this series treats historical and mythical entities? Your argument also falls apart at the step where we examine her characterization and the way the game frames and treats the event.
>>
>>46289509
>>46289393

Tamano cheats on he MC? What?
>>
>>46289548
It really doesn't, though. Her seeming all sweet and loyal up until then was exactly how she was before she betrayed Emperor Konoe. And her Type Moon characterization isn't that different from her legendary one, the only change is that she's now inexplicably a sub-soul of Amaterasu. You got lured in by her cute and sweet waifu act, despite knowing what she was.
>>
>>46289618
It does, though. Have you even played the game? You're just coming across like you think you're clever for knowing mythology and that instantly makes you an expert on all adaptations you haven't even touched.

>>46289601
Yes, she fucks Rani/Rin behind your back in the game.
>>
>>46289601
As you know, bodily fluids have magic in the Nasuverse.

For whatever reason, you can't supply prana to Tamamo at a certain point, so she HAS to fuck Rin or Rani. If she doesn't, she dies, and you go down too due to no longer having a Servant.
>>
>>46289633
I have, and I really think you're overselling it. Her more evil side peaks through at points, and I don't know how you didn't see it.
>>
>>46289548

I kind of have to agree with this.

I could be wrong, but I'm fairly certain mythical Tamamo was not secretly an amnesiac aspect of Amaterasu that decided she wanted to try playing minion. Who then screwed up, probably do to the amnesia, became a monster for some time, had one of her tails become a cat girl, and had most of the rest of her tails become other animal people.

Oh and I'm also fairly certain mythical Tamamo is not a jackal pretending to be a kitsune if that random comment wasn't a joke.

>>46289618

Mythical Tamamo had one of her tails turn into a cat girl, and was actually a jackal pretending to be a kitsune (if that one line wasn't a joke and/or Caster Tamamo being the jackal girl tail)?
>>
>>46289651
Yet they decide to do it behind your back and lie about it, refusing to lt you know or inform you. So they cheat without your knowledge and if you peek in and discover it they laugh it off and treat it like you're a silly pervert without giving the player any option to object to or confront them on this shit.

>>46289661
Then you're a moron. You and I both know how the game treats the events and her actions. If it was meant to be her 'evil moment of betrayal omg dark and edgy!' it would have framed it as such, and not played it off as fanservice comedy.
>>
>>46289651
I wouldn't really call that her fault, then. Any time someone is a victim of that kind of convoluted bullshit the only one to blame is the author.

That's rather surprising honestly. I thought she was honest about all that wanting to be the perfect wife to Hakuno thing. Guess I was wrong. Is it the same with the other servants or is it a event unique to her?
>>
>>46289726
It happens to all the servants, but Nero at least is up front about how she wants a harem, so it's not a betrayal from her perspective since you knew she'd be willing to do that when you got her.

Meanwhile Tamamo has her cheater castrating punch she threatens to use on you, then turns around and cheats herself. Scumbag hypocrite.
>>
>>46289704
You know? I still think you need to chill the fuck out, 'cause unlike Hakuno any Jumper taking her won't be forced by the writers to take this shit lying down, but you're not wrong.

>>46289726
Far as I know, she legitimately wants the whole loving wife act to be real, but it's still just that. An act.
>>
>>46289760
Man all I did was comment that I'm glad she's not in the anime. Blame there being an argument this time to Smartass McGee up there that smugly thinks that mythological Tamamo is the exact same as TM Tamamo and wants to argue I shouldn't dislike her.
>>
>>46289393

Basically ended up taking all the abilities I understood (besides Resolve as it's a little weedy for the price) and ended up better at cooking, music and driving while gaining a level in lightshows and ki and learning how to make things with Life Fibers.

Also took a spool of Life Fibers with which to mess around with in my own time.

Target means the head fashion Nazi wants me dead but as they'd be trying to kill me anyway due to my inevitable attack on the fashion Nazi regime it's pretty much free points. It's a cheap move but if I have to blow up the whole place I will.

But devils can't summon an aspect of God to kill the rest of their species, gain control of an army of devils and one super devil using some random ideology they like, use them to kill any other humans that survived the apocalypse they caused, and then punch the aspect of God into making the next universe based on their ideology.

Although to be fair that's probably a good thing.

I assume in a navy based setting it'd make sense to adopt a bunch of differing role ships to maximize nautical capabilities but at the same time Iowa apparently does have the best stats out of the "Fast Battleship" role so i guess you can compromise.

Technically, there's no canon on what either of them are, but that's more because there's.. basically no canon beyond that events and stages and shipgirl/abyssal quotes reference historical events during WWII. Some Abyssal Shipgirls do resemble normal shipgirls, or have quotes or some other connection to an important location during WWII. This is where the impression that Abyssal Shipgirls are "evil" shipgirls, or sunken versions of them that came back from the dead due to grudges.

Never Knocks
Straight Outta Estuary 100
Honor Among Thieves 300
Top Scores 600
Blue Blood Privileges 1200
A Hands On Approach 1300
Amputee 1000

Bit of fun this one. Not actually seen the movie but it's easy to work it out in broad strokes and it's set in a more ludicrous version of the real world. Plus back in the old homeland.

Went Chav as I liked the discounts and it was cheap. Never Knocks is a nice freebie. Straight Outta Estuary is another driving perk (probably more useful here as I can stick this jump in early in chain). Honor Among Thieves makes my underlings keep my secrets and makes me pointless to torture. Top Scores gives me some shooting/acrobations and the ability to use both well at the same time, given I took Savant and Freerunning in Pokemon this'll give a buff to both and make me a hell of a lot more dangerous. Blue Blood Privileges is fun for the 'prince from a foreign land' thing but I may well not use it in this jump.

A Hands On Approach uses unique features of your body to password protect your stuff. Had 100 CP left and this is actually a great option, lots of mad shit about my body people can't replicate.

Amputee isn't a particularly big deal. Can easily knock together a prosthetic but the wording of the perk means that wouldn't be allowed. Not sure how it'd work but I guess whenever I attach one it'd just magically flop off. Still psionics help me doing stuff and getting about. I also assume I lost an arm rather than a leg as I'm really good at freerunning. Just rolled and lost my dominant arm which is a bit of a pisser.

Don't know how long I'll stick about the council estate I assume I live on and there's no age roll so I guess I'm my age. May go full kingpin.

>Yet they decide to do it behind your back and lie about it, refusing to lt you know or inform you. So they cheat without your knowledge and if you peek in and discover it they laugh it off and treat it like you're a silly pervert without giving the player any option to object to or confront them on this shit.

Yeah, this was totally mishandling it. Though it's probably in character for both of them though. Rin/Rani is a magus so it's not a big deal to them and Tamamo actually liking you and thinking lying is better than hurting you.
When it's found out they have to make it like it's no big deal and that your just being unreasonable. It's for your own survival.
I think it was a dumb bit to include in the game since you and your servant are supposed to be counting on each other for their life and while adding something like this can add tension and friction. If your not going to address it and maybe give Tamamo a chance to redeem herself in the eyes of the player it's just going to piss them off.
I like Tamamo but after that yeah I can certainly see why some people don't. Ironically it's the more the game they should be pissed at because the player character isn't giving the player a chance to act like a normal human being would.
Thankfully any jumper who takes that jump is going to have magic and likely magic circuits of their own so they should have no problem refueling her.
>>
>>46294054
Worm has one called, appropriately enough, No Such Thing As Collateral. It makes it so that your actions only produce cosmetic collateral damage no matter how strong your attacks. Your enemies can still produce it, but you instinctively know what to do to minimize it without limiting yourself tactically.
>>
>>46294054
There is one in worm. One of the perks, not powers too, so you don't have to worry about that.
And I think there was one in generic magical girl. One of the capstones.

>>
>>46294054
I think there was one in the Magical Girl Jump.

Lets you put up a safety zone to fight in. Any damage you do there goes away at the end.
>>
>>46294054
Worm has one that reduces collateral from your actions to a minimum and lets you infallibly know how to reduce the collateral from others. Generic Magical Girl has a perk that draws you and your opponent into a parallel dimension so no one in the real world gets hurt. Cardcaptor Sakura has one undoes every bad thing your opponent has done once you defeat them, except for death.
>>

>>
>>46294072

Actually I just realized it's actually dumber than it looks.

The Moon Cell is computer data, Extra magic consists of "Oops magic died but we can use it's remains for hacking. Let's do that", and unless I'm misremembering the justification for leveling up is Aoko hacks your Servant into being better.

I am pointing out that up to a point it wasn't shit writing but when they don't let you respond... yeah it becomes shit writing.
They could have turned it in to something by having the tension about it grow and grow until Tamamo breaks down. Maybe she tries to get the PC a new servant and kill herself because she feels unworthy or believes the PC will abandon her and the PC actually has to save her. Maybe then she gives them a tearful explanation of why she did things and so they know what a terrible situation she was in.

I haven't done it yet, because I feel like that's going against the spirit of those jumps, but I imagine it would inspire some dread in the Benefactor. "Oh shit. He just noticed I didn't put a limit on how many times you can buy the size expansion option. But he has to realize that dumping 1600CP into it would be boring, right? There are so many other cool things to buy in this jump. Please, Anon, don't do it, I'm begging you! Nanoha jump has a perk from reducing beam spam and the like's collateral damage.
>>
>>46294849
Ha, yeah. I love looking at options like that just to THINK about them.

Like for the WIP Shaman King Jump, Small Spirits are 50 Cp per 12 in the group. Looking at that, technically that means for 1600 CP (Standard Drawback amount), you could get a Companion composed of 384 Small Animal/Insect Spirits. Nothing else mind you but you could still do it. Subject to change of course.

Why do that? For other silly shenanigans of course. Like taking that companion to the Zerg Jump, making them a Zergling and getting the x3 Upgrade to have 1,152 Zergling as one companion! Or something along those lines.

Silly stuff is always fun to imagine doing.

>>
>>46294938
Two of Dirge's jumps offer personal territories that have expansion options with no upper limit. Atelier Arland has an herb garden as an ordinary item, Dark Cloud 2 has a village you get as a scenario reward and the ability to use items you purchased with CP to make modifications. Now, like I said, this is totally going against the spirit of the jump so you'd have to be a dick to use them that way, but if you really wanted to...

Start with the Dark Cloud 2 village, assume it's about a kilometer on a side. Each purchase of Size Increase costs 5% Atlamillia charge and doubles the village's size. You get 200% charge for free just for going through the scenario. The Temporal Charges you can buy in the items section cost 50CP and add 10% charge. There's no listed drawback max, but let's assume 600CP, meaning you can buy 32 Temporal Charges for an additional 320% charge. So 520% charge, 1040 purchase of Size Increase, 2^1040 is 1.178 times 10^313. even if you assume that Size Increase just doubles the volume and not the dimensions (so no cubing), the volume of our universe is still only 2.85 times 10^81 kilometers cubed. So, it's still ten trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion times the size of our universe.

But again, that's clearly not what Dirge had in mind for that scenario. Interpreting it as letting you buy your own 10^232 universes worth of space is absurd. Clearly he didn't bother putting in a limiter jut because he didn't think anyone would actually do something so insane. So I would never actually do this, it would feel like cheating. But it makes a fun theoretical exercise.

What >>46295648 said is pretty accurate. Esdeath's best feats (ignoring the time stupidity) are creating a huge pillar in a few seconds, and freezing a moderately sized river in the same time-frame, and recently, creating about a hundred centaur mannequins that are said to be pretty strong. Only that last is far outside of what we see very skilled Waterbenders do.

...probably not. It's a litle unclear-but the ALSO section seems to imply it's meant to guard you against mundane heat and radiation, because the stars of Fallen London are our collective waifu gigantic eldritch gods who use souls as a kind of metaphysical sponge to absorb the lifeforce of mortal beings for sustenance, and which radiate law that defines what is real and what isn't; things that aren't Real that get exposed to them tend to die. Because you've sat around near "illegal" eldritch radiations and a state of general lawlessness in London, there is an unpredictable but almost certain chance if you return to the surface the sun will tear out your soul and crumble your body. So you've a lot more to worry about than heat and radiation.

It's a little more ambiguous how this applies to vampires but at the very least if heat and radiation is all that ails you (like a Jojopire or Bladepire) instead of a supernatuarl divine curse or something , you should enjoy that protection.

Speaking of more fire, I can't tell what would be more fun, Being double Genius in either The Last Airbender or Legend of Korra.

I don't actually know what happens in the LoK as after the first season I lost interest, it felt like the writers wasted lots of potential stuff, like what about Sokka, did he just not have kids as well as some of the other side characters who hooked up, we never saw anything of Ty Lee and the like, I think?
>>
>>46296041
Esdeath is the main antagonist of Akame ga Kill. She makes ice, and is pretty strong and good with a sword.
>>
>>46296046
To summarize: Avatars are the way they are because the first Wan bonded with Raava, the spirit of light, to fight the local Devil equivalent Vaatu, who later with Korra's uncle kills all the previous Avatars' souls before Korra kills both. Then came terrorists who broke Korra's spirit and nearly killed her, then Earth nazis and giant robots, then Korra and Asami became canon at the very end.

Considering how absurdly precise Misaka Mikoto and Sam were, becoming an electricity Esper in Raildex, Power Well in Worm, a god of electromagnetism in Lord of Light topped up with 2 purchases of Genius Firebending (to give your powers a spiritual dimension) should give you a good start to work with in addition to Conduit powers.

And IIRC Conduit powers are basically like a muscle sans lactic acid buildup, if you keep experimenting with 'em you can figure out some neat tricks.

Yeah, Sam's Electrodirection in Lord of Light was basically dynakinesis - he could control gravity, electromagnetism, light and all that.

He needed a power amplifier to do his major feats though, like binding the entire Rakshasa race into candleflames in the Hellwell or precisely controlling electronic weapons from a distance.

The anti fate perk from merlin is passive and without other perks non optional fate unravelling. if you take fateless you have no fate so you yourself will be excluded from prophecies so if something is destined to kill all humans you are not included in that automatically. it also makes divining your future impossible as its essentially not there until you do it. Fate shift lets you pit your will against destiny and if its strong enough occasionally win. This lets you do things like dodge spears fated to always hit, stop fenrir killing odin etc. etc. as long as you are physically and magically able after the fact you changing stuff butterflies and invalidates the rest of prophecy.

TLDR with merlin perk you always invalidate fate passively. fateless+fateshift it is entirely your choice whether you let the prophecy plays out and with a little finesse to what degree.
>>
>>46295202
For the village of Dark Cloud 2, "You may choose how your Atlamillia settlement follows you throughout your journey."
Does that mean you could put it on an island, a floating piece of rock, hidden underground or in an alternate dimension (perhaps after you created said dimension, like with D&D Genesis or Gravity Rush Genesis)?
>>
>>46297299

The Legend of Mana jump says that you can plant the artifacts in alternate worlds. Does that mean if I plant the Sword of Mana in other worlds and thus summon the Mana Tree, that world will gain magic?
>>
>>46297825
Yes.
>>
>>46297825
Well, that's largely the point of the Mana Tree, and you don't really get anything else from buying it other than a kickass sword, so yeah, I'd say so.
Of course you'll want to fix the Mana Tree first before you do that, otherwise it's going to be shelling out only a fraction of what it could at full power.

Also gaining magic isn't the same as learning magic, so unless you teach people how to use mana they probably aren't going to do anything interesting in it during the first ten years, unless the setting has some crazy mad scientist types, and then all bets are off.
>>

Well, I've only played the Mana games for the Super Nintendo, so there might be some variance from Legend, but yeah, it's basically typical console RPG stuff. You got your direct damage spells, your buffs, your healing, your status ailments, all those things.
They all generally fall into one of eight possible elements like fire, water, plant, darkness, that kind of thing, but you're not dragging the elemental spirits with you (who are basically the wardens in charge of those elements) so it's likely you're just working with raw mana and will have to figure that shit out on your own.

But, yeah, it's basically typical console RPG stuff. The world breaking stuff generally comes as a result of really high energies/technologies/whatever and most people aren't going to hit that level. Everyone else mostly chucks fireballs and statuses, as is typical for console RPGs.

>>
>>46299043
Perhaps "Demon" is the wrong term to use here. The Atma Avatars are basically a combination of both the user's karma and the solar data of demons. For example, in the Junkyard, one bonus boss's avatar is Metatron. There's even some evidence that points to the solar data being the actual demon, such as Satan in the second game, who seems to think he's in SMT II. So yeah, you can be any race that's not restricted to bosses only. So no Star, Herald, or stuff like that.
>>46299119
YHVH may or may not be a demon. If the theory that he is Errai the Administrator from Devil Survivor 2 is correct, then he is a Star, who predates demons.

It's not meant to be spoken. In classical Hebrew tradition God has many names, but the tetragrammaton YHVH is explicitly meant to be unpronounceable. It's God's name as the embodiment of his oneness with the universe, not to be used except in his most sacred prayers. If you were actually talking about God or mentioning him in prayers you'd use either Adonai ("My Lord"), Elohim ("divine") or the simple Hashem ("the name"). Or, if you were a Kabbalist, you'd call him by the Shem Ha Maphoresch, but that name is 72 syllables long so I'm not typing it out.

From what we've seen, Atma Avatars are capable of taking on squads of armed and armored soldiers. The greatest feat we've seen in canon is technically Seraph fight Brahman, but they were the perfect being and even then Brahman was holding back as a test. Shiva and Vishnu even comment on this, challenging the party to go beyond their limits.

Just people. I do my best to help them, and teach people how to best help one another. But just people, good and bad.

>I suppose you could just kill one and then use that Carnivores perk to get an infinite supply of guilt-free meat, though.
Admittedly the plan. Only it's not just 'kill any random demon' because... well that's a dick move. Better to find someone who's pretty much an irredeemable cock before returning to... wait what am I even saying? I probably ended up taking out a demon in Devil Survivor, there isn't even a NEED to bull this chaotic evil "I will slay you for meat" crap. Why the hell should I pull this hypocrisy? I can follow my own rules, damn it. There should literally be no need to cross the moral event horizon for power.

>>46299886
Yeeeaaah, it... it's gonna be a doozy. Not gonna lie.
>>
>>46300112
Well, that assumes that Devil Survivor demon meat is as good for you as Digital Devil Saga demon meat. They were made by different methods, might not have the same nutritional balance. Just kill Bat and eat endless cloned copies of his meat, the world will be better off without him.
>>
>>46299071
Is that a WoW armor set in ue4 or something?
Because that looks way better than it has any right to
>>
>>46300112
This>>46300142. As Jumpmaker, I officially advocate brutally murdering Bat in the most terrible way possible for many reasons, the least of them being his constant betrayals and his infuriating ego.
>>
>>46300142
It is what it is. I'd rather need to eat a lot more subpar quality stuff than murder a person just for higher quality. I mean when it comes down to it... there should literally be no need for me to pull that crap.

Demon forms aren't capable of much... Without Mantra. With them, they can learn countless SMT skills, including horribroken shit like Death Flies (Massive nonelemental damage with a 100% chance to instantly kill any foe not immune to death magic), Null Attack (immune to everything but nonelemental damage), and Auto Soma (fully recover all HP and MP every combat), and can pick their favorite eight to use at any given time.
>>
>>46300214
Look, you're going to kill him anyway, because you're a good person and that's what good people do. You might as well get a meal out of it.
>>
>>46300233
In fairness, that's just SMT, and gaining the more powerful Mantras is a long slog. Especially since usual video game rules don't apply.

Good people don't kill evil people on a whim. Good people DEAL with evil people, and if it becomes absolutely necessary, THEN death might be needed. But IF I do that, it's only going to be for that.

Any time I kill someone for a personal benefit, even the slightest amount, it becomes a tainted act in my code.
>>
>>46300313
Then starve.
>>
Actually I have a question about Devil Survivor.

When I beat Lucifer at the end of Devil Survivor 1, did I get a Take Over:Satan Soul transformation from him? I have Satan Soul in Fairy Tail, and was there before I went to Devil Survivor.
>>
>>46300325
Sure. You won't be able to achieve his FULL power, but you can definitely gain his form and some of his strength. I say full power because SMT!Lucifer is absurdly high on the power level ranking. Like, planet to universe busting level, depending on which version of him it is.
>>
>>46300313
No, Red, this is a special moral imperative, not a categorical one. Good people kill Bat. They follow your categorical imperative when it comes to other evil people, but for Bat there's this unique one.
>>
>>46300383
I figured I wouldn't get his Full Power, but a new form is always fun.
>>
>>46300383
That's trying to rule on the mechanics of another setting's powers. You cannot state that the mechanics of it suddenly change for no reason like that. Learn this. Stop trying to rule on other people's jumps.
>>
>>46300412
Hey, buddy: Fuck you. He's ruling on an interaction with his jump, that's always been acceptable.
>>
>>46300323
Don't really know what's going on here, something about an option that makes you a cannibal? If you can only eat something you don't want to eat you could probably still use Sims 3 magic to make yourself full and skip the issue entirely.
>>
>>46300426
How about no? He's trying to change how the power in Fairy Tale works. Not his power.
>>
>>46300284
DDS is the easiest to break, though, because you can learn all the bullshit powers yourself, and can freely pick which you're using. Devil Survivor doesn't let you learn the most broken ones, and the other SMTs don't give you the powers the demons use.
>>
>>46300443
We don't know exactly how it works in Fairy Tail, you spelled it wrong FYI.

We've only seen one person with Satan Soul, and two others who actively use Take Over period. I don't think we've ever seen one in the process of attaining their transformation, or how much of the power they actually get.
>>
>>46300474
What a silly thing to bitch about.
>>
Hey /jc/, I haven't had internet since Indiana Jones came out. What've I missed? Any new jumps?
>>
>>46300412
>>46300443
Actually, I'm ruling on Lucifer and his interaction with other Jumps. Sorry pal, but that IS something I control here, it's my jump. Satan Soul may be from Fairy Tale, but Lucifer is from Devil Survivor, MY jump. So no, I CAN rule on this. No one else is complaining>>46300404 so no, YOU back off.
>>
>>46300500
Wait, the first movie? You have a long way to go dude.
>>
>>46300488
We do know what it does and what the jump says. You don't have to suck him off out of misguided altruism when he steps out of line, you know.

>>46300505
No. You're trying to say the Satan Soul power suddenly doesn't copy the demon like it's supposed to. You're restricting how another jump's perk works. This is out of bounds for you, and more childish reactionary behavior from you thinking you can control the chain and stop people from doing things here. You can't.
>>
>>46300494
Ok, how in the fuck am I bitching? He asked how powerful DDS demons are. My answer is "imagine someone with every broken skill SMT has to offer, fully under your control." Cool your jets, anon, nobody's trying to take your ba-ba.
>>
>>46300500
Nope, not one.
>>
>>46300233
Okay, let me see if I have this right - a Mantra is a skill/power package I can buy. I buy it with Atma points (AP), which I earn by beating things.
Skills are either:
Physical skills, which I spend health to activate
Magic Skills, which I spend mp to activate,
or Auto Skills, which are always on.
All correct?

>>46300284
How come usual video game rules don't apply to a video game jump?
>>
>>46300529
DS is his Jump, though, and if he wants to say you can't capture Lucifer's full power during it, that's his prerogative.
>>
>>46300553
Because it's not a videogame.
>>
>>46300500
There's been several since then. The Upload folder on the drive still has all of them. The Secret of Mana, Ring of Red, and others.
>>

>>
>>46300557

>>
>>46300586
He absolutely can. If he wants to rule that you can't gain Lucifer's full power by any means, just the power of Lucifer's lesser avatar that you can summon after you beat him, that's his prerogative as a Jump-Maker. There's all kinds of fiat-imposed rules saying you can't grab something that they didn't intend to let out of the Jump.

Hmph. My bad. Sorry about that. I meant Legend and crossed a wire in my brain. Have a picture as an apology.
>>
>>46300586
Well he can make a generic ruling that you can't get X power/character etc. without ending your chain. That's something that has been done for several jumps and is well within his wheelhouse. In that case he's not saying that FT Takeover Demon Soul can't do it, it's that any method (Thanatos, Dark Binding, Super Pokeball thing) to get X won't work.
>>
>>46300655
Nah, there's really no reason to do that. You can get way more bullshit stuff throughout the chain, and that anon wasn't even arguing for a restriction.
>>
>>46300640
Alt forms offer power and appearence, but are generally inherently separate, certain perks allow you to combine them however, I forget the full rundown of how they work. Considering this is /jc/ however, its up to you to wank how they work.
>>
>>46300661
He absolutely can't. He's trying to change the way Satan Soul works. That is not acceptable, as he didn't make that jump.

>>46300667
Which means he's making ruling on yet more people's jumps, meaning he continues to move outside of his power.
>>
>>46300653
It's a Shadowcaster prestige class that slowly turns you into a being of the Plane of Shadow
>>
was that 40k Eldar jump ever finished? If it isn't hoqw do I learn to make wraithbone for the LoT?
>>
>>46300580
Ah, yeah that's an important distinction.

>>46300640
Well Child of the Night is a -class-, not a race. So as long as you don't lose access to the class's abilities...I guess they apply to whatever form you're in?
Like, within D&D, if your race is polymorphed from human to walrus, you'd still apply your class's benefits to the walrus's form.
>>
>>46300694
That wouldn't be ruling on other people's jumps, it'd be like the jumps that say if you get this form of godhood you end your chain.
>>
>>46300726
That is a ruling, as he's saying Satan Soul doesn't work as it canonically does.
>>
>>46300694
In the past Marvel ruled that Twilight Imperium can tank anything up to Balefire. This sort of rule has been around for a while now, all your complaining isn't going to change it.

>>46300719
Don't think so. And by asking the Eldar in 40K jump, I suppose. It'd probably help if you had an Eldar companion to make introductions. Theoretically you could also jump Commoragh and ask one of the more morally ambiguous Craftworld Eldar to give you a crash course.
>>
>>46300674
I'm a little confused on how to handle this then. On the one hand, the skills really ARE bullshit in terms of other Jumps, because they were designed to exist in a universe where some bosses could take one look at them and either laugh their asses off or get pissed and instantly kill you.
>>
>>46300738
Marvel made Negima. He's allowed to decide what perks in Negima do.
>>
>>46300737
Explain to me where and when Satan Soul canonically takes over a being of SMT Lucifer's caliber. Then explain to me how there was a plot afterwards.
>>
>>46300655
Maybe. Death Flies is the one I'm really worried about. Every SMT boss might be immune to death magic, but it's super fucking rare in a lot of settings. This wouldn't be such an issue except that SMT death spells can affect pretty much anything, up to and including Gods.

I mean, if you really want to hand out the power to kill Gilgamesh, the Endbringers, and Darkseid with one spell, that's your prerogative...

Also you're projecting pretty damn hard considering if you did care about the thread you'd have the self-awareness to realise you're the reason why there's a problem in the first place. Also also, technically he did since Balefire canonically can only be stalled by another stream of Balefire or the anti-Balefire someone invented in the heat of battle.

>>
>>46300942
They're just the first three things that come to mind for "what do people spend entire threads trying to come up with ways to kill?" I think they're massively overhyped and that Wildbow is just trying to omnipotence wank his setting by saying "no, guise, they require a galaxy of power to blow up and have sekret super levels of power they never use," but we see them so much they're easy examples.
>>

>>
>>46300974

>>46300988
I agree as well, and I frankly think they're piss easy compared to many, many other things out there in the chain like Ajimu, the Majin, the True Fae, the heaviest hitters in Touhou, certain personages from MGNQ and the City in general from Blame!
>>
Captcha cut me off but-what I meant to add was I don't understand why THEY never get brought up in "how do I into murder" convos. At least the Toohoos have the excuse of being cute and triggering protective/lewd instincts.
>>
>>46300988
I thought we were well passed that point. Easy solutions to killing then came out a thread or two after the jump and people have finally, finally stopped talking about 'how do' so much. It's annoying because people will not stop using them as some universal measuring stick they shouldn't be, wanking up their power level like they're unbeatable, and harping on them every single time. You at least understand they're oversold, but most do not.
>>
>>46301041
People either aren't aware of them at the same level or in the True Fae's case got the omnipotence clause slapped onto them which eventually shut down all talk of killing them.
>>
>>46301075
While I disagree with you on many points I can at least agree I'm just as frustrated on that, especially since I distinctly remember the arguments continuing long, long after the jump came out because people were hellbent on brute forcing them instead of doing the smart thing and reaching for outside context problems.

>>46301095
The sad thing is, they're not even truly omnipotent, just balls hardcore reality warpers. Oh god, I remember there WAS one or two arguments on killing them now. The morons thought nuking them-as in, the TRUE True Fae in Arcadia-would work.
>>
>>46301068
The Toe hoes are also peaceful, for the most part. Yukari's not going around wiping out entire cities for the lulz.

>>
>>46301006
That is probably the beast way to handle it. And sorry about the asshole. I don’t know how long you where here before you started making jumps, but that shit is fairly common, just don’t take it personal and realize that they are just a vary VARY vocal minority.
>>
>>46301157
A lot of people seem to sympathize with the Binbou, because the gods there did a bad thing to him.

And Alucard? That's because most people probably chose to get vamp'd. You don't kill mom/dad.
>>
>>46301157
I forgot if it was just the lower tier Toohoos or also the higher ones, but I could've sworn they feed on human fear and superstition or something which makes 'em inimical to coexistence. But yeah, pretty sure the higher ones just don't give a fuck about mere mortals.

Alucard has the excuse of being a cool guy and respectful opponent apart from also being a horrifying monster, even when not abridged. Anyone remember the dream where his gun started talking to him?
>>
>>46301041
What I don't get is why no one ever brings up how they could possibly beat the Anti-Spiral in Gurren Lagann. I never see ANYONE discussing him/them, and he's one of the most powerful characters in the chain! The dude pilots a robot that throws galaxies like ninja stars and only barely lost to one Simon the Digger, who supposedly has enough Spiral Power to cause the Spiral Menace by himself! And he wasn't alone. so seriously, what's up with that?!
>>46301137

>>46301137
> The sad thing is, they're not even truly omnipotent, just balls hardcore reality warpers.
You could probably kill them, but it would require being able to shut off their powers or having comparable reality warping ability. ASA could probably do it. But you basically can't be below that power level.

Effectively if you have to bother to ask "would this work" the answer is probably no.
>>
>>46301228
>Anti-Spiral
End jump, is why.
>>
>>46301228
I know, right?! And the funny thing is-more people seem to be familiar with stuff from the Nasuverse like Avalon has that sort of conceptual defence against purely brute force attacks, but went straight for force alone against the Fae.

>>46301239
The thing about ASA is even though he's a big fan of tech he understands when something requires an unconventional approach instead of just relying on tech for everything. Pretty sure he brought up some sort of stasis power ages ago to exploit the fact that for a Fae, stasis is the same thing as death.

I don't get that. The True Fae have always been this sort of enemy that you need to either beat at their own game or take an option they didn't think was available. Like ASA and his stasis idea, for example, which is probably a better solution because beating them at their own game is not only difficult but carries its' own risks depending on how you do it...

The Endbringers are a pain in the ass because Wildbow wants them to be super-special unbeatable, and anytime someone comes up with a plan or finds something that a reasonable person thinks would work, he just keeps tacking more numbers onto them without actually understanding the scale involved.

Here's an anecdote about that, actually. On a "who would win" thread on reddit not too long ago, he said that, yes, Saitama could destroy Behemoth with one punch. His reasoning was that doing so is the entire point of the series, he wouldn't be One-Punch Man if he didn't beat things with one punch. As an aside, I agree with that completely. Someone else said, however, that narrative justification like that isn't enough, and that the rules of the sub say you have to point to canon feats. Wildbow responded by saying that the time Saitama punched away Boros's planet-killing laser would have been enough force to kill Behemoth, and someone else pointed out that, strong as that punch might have been, this statement directly contradicted the "galaxy's worth of matter" claim he'd been claiming was canon. Wildbow stopped responding after this.

So yeah, Endbringer wanking, including the author's doing so, kind of pisses me off. I think, if you're going to stick so strongly to "my guys are super unbeatable!" and then try to attach numbers to it, you've got a responsibility to stay consistent.
>>
>>46301553
>Cold Iron
That also works, though if I'm remembering right, relying on that alone is a good way of getting yourself killed, or worse.
>>46301555
He DID say Kaiju Alucard, so maybe? Unless the ocean of corpses counts as a kaiju.

If I have a Stand from Jojo, would Amazo Backup Memory from Young Justice let me make a machine that has a Stand (and if so would it be the same one), or (given that the stand is the expression of my soul, AFAIK) would I make a machine with my Stand's powers? I think it would be the latter, but just want to check.
>>
>>46301516
>more power

How so? Of the options offered none of 'em make you Kami Tenchi-even the multiple LHWs thing is done by multiple characters, and it's only unbeatable in-universe.

Though to be honest I've never understood what the big deal with Kami Tenchi is either.

>>46301577
That's...confusing, but to be fair it sounds more like he has no idea of the scale of what he's writing about anymore. He also claimed the Justice League could eventually beat the Endbringers because of Martian Manhunter. I forgot why exactly but I think it had something to do with telepathy.

>>46301618
The latter. You..might be able to make the former just by stabbing a really, really advanced machine with the Arrowhead considering plankton and trees have developed Stands. And in the SBRverse Jesus can enhance and create Stands.
>>
>>46301552
For various reasons. Some people hate them because they're at the end and therefore nobody will ever go to them, ignoring the people who plan for things out of order. Some people hate them because, as an extension of the planespark, they assume you auto win and therefore it's boring to talk about. Some people just hate the idea of locked off content, which can be combined with the first reason but not always.

There are people who are fine with endjumps and there've even been a few builds, particularly by jumpers who don't do things in a set order, but they're generally more quiet and don't tend to try to drag people into arguments about things.
>>
>>46301618
Hmm, I don't think Amazo works on magical/spiritual abilities, but I'm not very familiar with him, so I could be wrong. If it can, I'd say it would be like yours, since it copies powers.
>>
>>46301640
I'm actually not sure what counts as powers, either and I don't think YJanon's elaborated further than saying it can't copy PERKS. Personally I'm lowballing to count what the canon Amazo copied as a safer bet, so physical superhero stuff. Worm powers, yes, balefire, no, demon summoning-only if you had some tech from somewhere else to rig up to it like Devil Survivors'

>>
>>46301699
Please don't worry about it too much; I think the compromise like at the end of DS2's deal with Errai Rising is more than fair, so like as you get something pre-Spark as a sort of taster for what follows at the end of the chain.

Hey Clover, regarding the [C]/Economic Investment Jump:

How much extra time do we get out of each day with the non-Newtonian cradle?
Right now I'm fanwanking I can't get more than double the amount of time - I get 48 hours worth of stuff in each 24 hour period.
The plan is to make the balls out of the Stardust from the Nintendogs jump - if Nintendogs takes place in a copy of our world, then the Stardust must exceed $53.5 billion in value ("more than anyone in the world can afford", and google says that's how much money the richest person in the world has).

>>46301552
I don't really loath them, but they're not that interesting to hear about. I'd rather hear about interesting dilemmas like how a Jumper saved a character whose death allowed the protags to win, AND managed to keep the timeline intact, than just hear about the super combo that meant they #rekt everything and won forever.

Amazo's Backup Memory can't copy/mimic perks or magical/spiritual (such as ki) power.

>Physical superhero
Yeah, I think that works, given what I HAVE seen of him(I watched Justice League and Justice League Unlimited). Sounds about right
>>46301733
Yeah, Errai Rising probably works best as a base. I'll go with that.
>>46301746
My original idea was to go with the in-game ending, but modified: The two main characters, Serph and Sera, fuse to become the hermaphrodite/perfect being Seraph. After fighting Brahman and convincing him that mankind wasn't all evil, he in turn helps them achieve enlightenment. However, because SERAPH discovered this, not Serph and Sera, those two get reincarnated and Seraph moves on to Nirvana. So before, I imagined the ultimate perk would be a fusion between the Jumper and his/her most trusted/loved companion to create a new, perfect being, or the Jumper themselves do it by facing their inner demons or something. Originally the scenario would have ended with just the enlightened being ascending, but now I think I'll offer the reincarnation choice for those who want to continue their chain. With both what I've been told in mind, and just in fairness to any Jumper, I think I'll go with that.
>>46301786
Oh? That's fine then. I can work with that.

>>46301817

...not sure what Blue Magic's Sting actually does, but applying Worm's Sting to a magical effect probably would considering Sting's the best weapon the Worms have for fighting each other with. A girl with an ordinary crossbow could've oneshot one if she'd hit its' core.

No; they just can't come from a magical/spiritual source. So things like telekinesis/telepathy are alright if you can do those things through just the power of your mind, for example.

It would depend on the source, but yeah.

Because SMT, that's why. That, and it's referred to as BIO-data, so maybe that's why? Plus, maybe the original being who built him wanted him to look organic instead of machine like as a design choice? In the game you can switch between the living world and the warped spirit world.

- When you're in the spirit world time is frozen in the living world. In game you'd activate something that was time sensitive in the living world, like a gate, and then go to the spirit world to get there in time.
- You can go from the living world to the spirit world anywhere you want but you need a portal to go to the living world from the spirit world.
- The living world causes constant damage to the PC until they get a sword that binds to them. You can prolong your time in the living world by killing things and consuming their souls. Souls stay in the living world for a while before going to the spirit world
- The spirit world constantly heals the PC, and souls can be found there for consuming. There are wraiths and things that want to hurt the PC, but it's more or less safe.
-The geometry in the spirit world warps that of the living world. Caves open, pillars form bridges.

There are some perks you get from defeating bosses but those are the starting rules more or less.
>>
>>46302620
I'm alive and I'm here. Working on a big surprise currently. No ETA since this is a big one.
>>
>>46302577
>>46302594
Well. Shit, how the hell did I overlook such an important thing to mention?

Mine has A parameters across the board, and its Awakened ability lets it summon miniature disasters. All nearby water gathers to form mini tsunamis, relatively tiny volcanos sprout from the ground, extremely localized blizzards form in the middle of summer, you get the idea.
>>
>>46302681
Not sure how to handle that. Being unable to be killed at all is a problem, but it sounds like going between worlds is a big mechanic.
>>
>>46302491
From memory, Raziel could still be killed as a spirit, so note that things that hurt spirits can hurt you, and that killing your spirit means you're dead. Also note that you're a spirit that can't interact with the physical world, and possibly put in some other reasonable setting-appropriate limits so it isn't just potentially an infinite 1-up. You could also limit how often you can use this ability, either noting that your spirit can only make a new body every so often, or that a death too quickly after recovering kills you permanently.
>>
This talk of biotech and Amazo and all that has made me wonder. We have perks to turn magic and tech into the opposite, but do we have a spiritual equivalent? Something to turn spiritual powers into spells or make machines that replicate them?
>>
>>46302697
...That sounds OUTRAGEOUSLY overpowered. Explain now, this contrasts your build for HunterXHunter, which was reasonable if fatal.
>>
>>46302713
This is true, but the spirit world is much safer for him. It is basically a 1 up with a little extra dicking around.

If I was to do it, I might make a rule where you have to activate it before a blow that would kill you

Can I request a way to get the advanced familiars that's not alignment dependent? I want a lyrakien, but am probably not chaotic good.
>>
>>46302800
Technically, all infinite would be max stats.
>>
>>46302710
Not that Anon, but didn't Tomb of the Necrodancer ALSO have a no dying thing going on? Then again, you COULD go insane, so maybe there's a similar theme?
>>46302754
That's HunterXHunter though, Anon was talking about a Stand. Besides, Non-Requiem Stands aren't usually THAT powerful, even DIO could only stop time. Then again, I COULD be misreading it as being more powerful than it actually is. Stand!Anon, how small is "relatively"?
>>
>>46302800
It's not clear, but it's implied Stands, like muscles, get stronger the more you use 'em. Jotaro started out with Star Platinum but by Stone Ocean its' stats had fallen a lot because he hadn't used it for a while. But A is normally the ceiling with infinite stats being exceptions, yeah.
>>
>>46302824
>infinite
There's infinite? I can say my Stand has infinite Strength or complete invulnerability? That I can use my Stand to do things on the other side of the universe?
>>
>>46302848
Pretty sure the only infinite stat ever was just range for Stands that didn't need to stay near their wielder or were independent.
>>
>>46302848
Yeah, you'd have to explain it some how though. Made in Heaven, for example, had infinite speed because it caused time to start speeding up exponentially with the user immune to this effect.
>>
>>46302879
And of course it's the new addition to the series that proves me wrong >>46302879
D'oh
>>
>>46302848
Not without being called a silly goose, no. Stands with infinite stats tend to either be hyperspecialised in that one stat and crippled outside it, or a BBEG's Stand like Made in Heaven which is generally frowned upon for taking-especially since it was only achieved through some sort of batshit insane plan by Dio involving his bones, a rambling bit of prose he wrote and Pucci's original Stand-which turned other peoples' Stands into discs apparently
>>
>>46302880
Not that Anon, but Made in Heaven isn't really something most Jumpers have access too because of this >>46302896.
>>
>>46302733
Is it the stats or the actual ability?

I thought the stats were fine because being that strong is essentially its normal ability.

The Awakened power is like...the volcanos will kill a normal person if they don't dodge, but they're nowhere near as hot as real volcanos, and the lava only stays liquid instead of just being rock because of the power forcing it to. Same stuff for the other powers, the blizzards will kill someone from the cold if they don't just walk away but the range is really small so at best I'll lock down a medium-sized house.

>>46302800
I tried to have something more reasonable like a B range and C for other stuff, but I gave up trying to balance the power I described before as its normal ability, so I just said it didn't have one initially which is why its stats are so high.

>>46302829
The volcanos can go from anthill sized to as big as a person, with their numbers going down from twenty to three as they become bigger. Like before, the blizzard is the size of a house. The tsunami can draw on a city block's worth of water, but after one story additional water just sort of trails behind it to drown people.

Is this too much?
>>
>>46302879
>>46302880
>>46302896
Ah. I was just checking, because that seemed absurd.
>>
>>46302677
Advanced Magic puts you on Zatanna's level when it comes to using magic, but it doesn't affect the strength of either Chaos or Order magic (though you can use both, and the two may play off of each other). Some of Zatana's feats include forcing Professor Ivo to give up information and locating the origin of a spell that split the world into two separate worlds.

Chaos Magic would allow you to affect/corrupt an area around the size of a small forest, as well as many of the creatures within it. I don't know what Gift of the Thousand Master is from.

Incantations mostly, with more complex spells requiring rituals.
>>
>>46302926
All As is a bit over the top, because your potential should then be E at least, but now that you actually explained the ability itself, it's perfectly fine. Judging by what you described, the stats might look like this:
Power: A
Range: B-C(You judge)
Durability: A
Precision:C-D(It seems like a rather inaccurate power)
Potential: (You decide)
And THAT is perfectly reasonable for a regular/Awakened Stand
>>
>>46302992
Gift of the Thousand Master is from Negima. I think the Jumpmaker said it generally gives you raw power on par with the top few mages of a magic system.

Can it improve with practice to where I can cast silently?
>>
>>46303040
You might be able to use Technobabble Fish from Tenchi for that.
>>
>>46302994

...But I still don't know if it'll stand up in HxH.
>>
>>46303070
Wait, how dangerous is HxH? I thought it was just a low-tier Shounen setting.
>>
>>46303040
Gift of the Thousand Master would probably increase the scope of your powers significantly; but you'd still be below Klarion in terms of power.

>silently
No, unless you had perks/abilities that let you cast silently you'd need to speak, even if only a whisper.
>>
>>46303101
Klarion isn't even a wizard but some sort of crazy demon right? That sounds fair. Is Trigon also a thing in YJ?
>>
>>46303094
Well, it's nowhere near the high power levels some shonen get up to, but the villains are reasonably strong. Not Madara or Ywhach strong, but, I don't know...Dragonball levels, maybe? Not Dragonball Z, no planet-busters, just the stuff in the first series.
>>
>>46303070
Hmm, I'd say the higher ranking characters might stomp you, but with enough training, you MIGHT be able to close the gap, ESPECIALLY if you still have the Stone Arrow. If you upgrade your Stand to Requiem...Are you familiar with other examples of those kinds of Stands?

Do you know of any perks that let you cast silently? I swear I've seen one before. Oh, and from a video I remember seeing from the show, Klarion and Doctor Fate didn't seem to use incantations, so would Chaos/Order magic at least be silent?

There are silent casting perks in both Harry potter and Magi.
>>
>>46303234
Are those general perks, though? I thought they were just for the systems from those jumps.
>>
>>46303177
Oh yeah, you'd be fine as regular Stand, I was just saying that the Stone Arrow(Which can be bought) would upgrade it to Requiem, and those are fucking insane.
>>46303189
If I remember right, Master Roshi would have sealed King Piccolo away had he not jobbed and missed the damn jar, because plot induced stupidity. Still, I agree with you on the Moon thing, wonder why the wiki says that then? Actually, for that matter, if he's THAT powerful, Dragon Ball would be way beyond HunterxHunter, considering Piccolo Junior and Goku both surpassed Roshi and King Piccolo.
>>
>>46303277
Well, Roshi did casually blow up the damn moon, didn't he?
>>
>>46303319
Not casually, he had to charge up the kamehameha at full power in his maximum power mode (where he stops holding back and gets beefy).

Though to be fair, that form is still weaker than he was in his prime, but yeah. Roshi was one of those people who found immortality, but was unlucky enough to do so when he was extremely old so he's forever an old man.
>>

I would say that Klarion is above city level; he was capable of splitting the world in two with the help of four other magic users, and I'd say that he contributed most of the magical power to do so. I don't think he's too far above city level though, at least from what we've seen. He's probably more powerful in whatever dimension he's from, though.

>would Chaos/Order magic at least be silent?
That sound fair, yeah.

>Thanks for you help, by the way.
No problem!
>>
>>46303277
Power levels in dragon ball were never consistent.
>>
>>46303343
>Roshi was one of those people who found immortality, but was unlucky enough to do so when he was extremely old so he's forever an old man.
Is that what happened? I thought he just aged really slow.
>>
>>46303319
That...reminds me, actually. How in the HELL did that not ravage the Earth with moon fragments and tidal waves? Not to mention all the OTHER natural events that would be thrown out of whack by the Moon being blown to Hell.
>>46303347
This is also something to consider. Also, power levels are bullshit, so...
>>
>>46303249
I've always seen them as general perks. And, regardless, YJ anon ruled that they'd work making the backwards magic perk silent.
>>
>>46303377
Nope immortal, early dragon ball actually had a lot more magical and mystical stuff. Also a hell of a lot more gags.
>>
>>46303347
>>46303382
Power levels in terms of how strong characters are compared to each other are actually pretty consistent across the whole series, even DBZ (Movies and GT? Eeeeeeeh). The power levels in terms of numbered rankings stay pretty consistent up to Saiyan/Frieza saga where it falls apart.
>>
>>46303377
He drank from the fountain of eternal youth. He's living forever.
>>
>>46303383
>And, regardless, YJ anon ruled that they'd work making the backwards magic perk silent.
Oh. I didn't know that, thanks.
>>
>>46303428
>youth
Meant life. You get the idea.

I don't know, remember when Tien was the strongest human? And then Krillin of all people became stronger than him off-screen? Actually, remember when YAMCHA was relevant? When his death was tragic and broke the hearts of fans of the series, and now it's a joke? Remember when Bulma went damn near catatonic from shock, horror, and sorrow, and then two arcs later went for the man who had her friends and her BOYFRIEND killed and then tried to blow up the planet? What the hell happened?
>>
>>46303511
Yamcha got Yamcha'd, that's what happened.
>>
>>46303511
Tien was never stated as the strongest past Dragonball, so no. Just because he stalled Cell? They never said he was the most powerful because of that. He just used a special technique that used life force instead of just ki, a subset of moves he's had since Dragonball and promised not to use to Roshi.

Yamcha's power level didn't change. He's always been the weakest, and him becoming a joke is Toriyama not caring about him anymore. It's why he lost his girlfriend and any relevance.
>>
>>46303511
Toriyama has stated that he doesn't actually remember his characters very well. He doesn't keep good notes, it's all more or less seat of the pants writing.
>>
>>46303511
Toriyama is as bad at writing believable romance as George Lucas is.
>>
>>46303511
Seriously though, that stalling Cell moment was only because life force is many times more potent than ki, it just kills you for using it.
>>
>>46303511
Bulma was always a slut that just wanted a boyfriend that was strong and good looking. Yamcha was unwilling to commit, and Vegeta was a strong and attractive guy staying at her place at the time. Slut gonna slut.
>>
>>46303511
Krillin deserved to be the strongest human and get the best waifu. He went through more shit than anyone else that wasn't a saiyan.
>>
>>46303541
>>46303553
He admits he sucks at writing romance, at least. Said it multiple times.

Yamcha I think he developed a personal grudge against, for some reason. No idea why. And after that he thought HEY I LIKE VEGETA I WANT TO KEEP HIM AROUND MAYBE A GIRL WILL HUMANIZE HIM
