Hmm. Devil Survivor has a Metatron the Messiah can call upon. Devil Survivor 2 also has a summonable Metatron.

What happens, after the jumps, if you call on both? Also is it hypothetically possible, maybe through tinkering with the Demon Summoning Program and practices such as syncretic ecumenicism via Favor of Tashlan, to use 'em for a custom fusion recipe into a mega-Metatron if you summon both at once?

Additionally, since the Administrator candidates are essentially a race of gods, if one had a means of studying the fundamental nature of the soul like Metaphysical Biology, That Undefinable Thing or even fragments of Aldia's research, a means of working spiritual energies into a materialised form such as the mantratech from Asura's Wrath, a means of combining spiritual practices as mentioned above (or in the form of Temple of Thought) and some really exotic life essence working techniques like the Strange Notes and Necromancy from Geneforge-

-could one theoretically transfer and replicate the "essence" of a Sword and by analysing Miyako's metaphysical makeup derive a means of creating half-Sword, half...something else lifeforms?

I don't know much about this trip, but I do know that my life sucked balls. Bandits attacking my rural village and lots of people died. So I joined the military, because somehow that works. Anyways blah-blah soldier stuff, demon king and what not. I don't care, I left being a soldier as soon I arrived. It was a waste of time, and there's a bunch wars going on over these stones. Doesn't concern me, so I just operated as a mercenary for awhile. Then I just settled for exploring. That's what I like to do is explore new worlds. I also killed bunch bandits for hell of it. I tell you it was pretty boring trip. I just hope my next trip is more exciting.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I don’t think Messiah Bel gets Metatron, I’m pretty sure that you have to go the Chaos route and beat him on the eighth day to unlock him. Going Messiah means that he is on your side, but not in your court. He is far too busy flying around going BE AFRAID FOR I AM THE VOICE OF GOD! to be summoned by you. Then again, I am not the jump maker so take all this with a grain of salt.
>>
>>46241727
How's that going, by the way?
>>
>>46242381
The Messiah route is where you get the ability to fuse Metatron, so it makes sense that you get him in your court, or at least have the potential to. Of course, you also can unlock him by beating him during the 8th day events if you go Chaos. Not the jumpmaker either though, so I don't know how in-game unlocking of fusions may connect to actually obtaining them.
>>
>>46242436
It's going a bit slow, unfortunately, but it's coming along. I've written up the +1000 CP drawback which ended up evolving into a sort of miniature scenario; basically, the Jumper gets sent to an alternate timeline a la Days of Future Past where pretty much everything went wrong in some shape or form, and it's up to them to fix things on this alternate world before their ten year stay can begin. They're also completely cut off from their Warehouse and Companions, and the only gear that they can take is what they'd have on their person normally.
>>
>>46242451
Is it? I thought you had to fight him to fuse him. But I have not played Overclocked and it has been ages since I played the original, so my memory and knowledge is a bit shoddy to say the least. Hopefully the jump maker will make a ruling on it.

So, a while ago, I decided that my jumper would spend 2 weeks every Jump solely devoted to training... 100 jumps later, I finally bothered doing the math.

I'm training inside the Warehouse with Narnia's Clock of Ages, starting at 60x normal time, but I go deeper using SCP-2400 to dilate time by another 140x, I also have enhanced Enhanced Mastery speeding my learning up 720 times faster still, and use about 1000 shadow clones while doing so.

This comes out to effectively having had the equivalent of about 58 /million/ years of training, not counting other learning/intelligence perks to boost it up, or even considering that the Clock of Ages would be able to dilate time further and further with every jump...

I, uh, I might have gone a little bit overboard.

>>
>>46242670
Why only two weeks? Just have the 1000 Shadow Clones constantly train while you do other shit.
>>
>>46242670
Wait, fuck, I screwed my math up. Derp. That's supposed to be 232 million years.

>>46242704
>>46242739
Yeah, but taking 10 year breaks in-jump in between around 320 years in time dilation is fair, right?
>>
>>46242770
It's fair for /you/, the original body, but you should still use Shadow Clones in my opinion. You'd get the entirety of what you get in 100 jumps in a single one, and more, if you just kept the clones training.
>>
>>46242670
Shadow Clones from Naruto, right?
I didn't know you could train yourself through them. That makes things infinitely easier.
>>
>>46242795
True, but it's already kinda excessive. You have a point through.

...good thing I stack all those willpower perks to not go insane from this.

>>46242801
Well, you get the memories and thus skills from them. You'll still need to do workouts yourself to train up muscles and such.
>>
>>46242608
Reminder that, by Megami Tensei standards, Monsters would be considered demons.

Reminder that this would make the two of them eligible to be fused
>>
>>46242801
I'm pretty sure that "shadow-clone training" is pure fanon.
There's also the argument to make that you're not getting 1000x the training time out of 1000 shadow clones, you just gain the same progress 1000 times with minor variations because the clones are all you and all start from the same point when you make them.
At best you're getting a slightly more thorough understanding of whatever you train in, but that's nothing you wouldn't get out of most enhanced learning or eidetic memory perks.
>>
>>46242836
Oh no no no we are not doing this.

No artificial A S R I E L D R E E M U R Rs here.
>>
>>46242893
Naruto does Shadow Clone training when developing his Rasenshuriken.
>>
>>46242801
In-series, it's considered a dangerous and dumb thing that only Naruto can do, because of his huge amount of chakra and determination. Normal people would either get overwhelmed by the fact that they absorb all of that mental experience and fatigue that their clones went through, along with being unable to create and maintain the clones for an extended period of time. Chapter 315 of Naruto explains this all.
>>
>>46242893
Oh, but I'm not getting 1000x the same training. All of them do something different, to maximize the gains. So, one would practise a martial art, another would be swordfighting, a few would be practising different forms of magic... and so on.

1000 things trained, in the time it takes to train one thing.
>>
>>46242906
Fair enough. I quit the series even before the timeskip because the direction the author took it in got on my nerves, so most of my (limited) knowledge comes from fanfiction.
So much wasted potential...
>>
>>46242893
Watch the show anon, narotu does this exact thing to learn techniques that should take years in a few days.
>>
>>46242940
Jumper isn't normal.
>>
>>46242940
You can get the same chakra capacity easily enough. Uzumaki Bloodline + True Jinchuriki and you have pretty much the same potential as Naruto, only you're not an idiot.
If you don't have other willpower perks already take Genius of Hard Work too and you're set.

In fact you can get even more chakra than Naruto - just get Senju Bloodline too and You Have Reserves to double it again, though you'll need drawbacks. Hell, throw in Wood Release and Fuinjutsu if you don't mind all the drawbacks to become the one-man superninja.

>>46242976
Well, i stand corrected then. Looks like getting Shadow Clones and the chakra to use them is pretty much the first priority for the jump even over all the bullshit bloodlines then.
>>
>>46240768
Geez, I keep responding to these late; No, Metatron is not part of Messiah Bel's court. As for the half-sword idea...possible, but that's the kind of stuff that literally grinds Camopus' gears.
>>
>>46242836
Jumpmaker here, this is actually true, but you'd have to kill/enslave them for that, and Omega Flowey/ASRIEL DREEMURR are not available.
>>
>>46242944
Is there a maximum distance to how far away Shadow Clones can be from you?
>>
>>46243009
I'm still partial to going Akimichi to convert calories into Chakra. Then taking something like 401k from HotD to just store up on stupid amounts of food.
>>
>>46242940
While that is a fair point, jumpers sort of deal with the same situation when taking non-drop in backgrounds. Not to mention chakra can be trained to increase. Having a big capacity to start with definitely helps speed up the process by increasing the number of clones able to do so.

>>46243070
Super YHVH confirmed for hating fun. Even in your victory Yh! V! H!
>>
>>46243149
Not that I know of, no... They do run out of juice after a while, depending on how much chakra you throw into them.
>>
>>46243154
Afaik there isn't actually a limit to the bloodlines you can take, aside from CP.
Most people who post their builds here just seem to go straight for the Rinnegan, which tends to tie up most of your CP.
>>
>>46243123
Wait, so Devil Survivor operates on the same system as SMT, enabling you to copy "demons" into your court by recruiting them?
>>
>>46243207
Yeah, I'd much rather have a bit more of a grab bag for powers. My build tends to flop around trying to grab each element and then some. Mostly I try and grab my 3 favs, Akimchi/Aburame/Whatever the Wood power was.
>>
>>46243183
It's less that he hates fun and more that you're literally mass producing glitches in reality: Miyako wasn't SUPPOSED to be half human/half sword, she was simply supposed to be the Anti-Alcor. However, without Yamoto, reality needed a replacement, and so Cor Coroli also became Miyako Hotsuin.
>>46243214
Sort of, but it's less copying and more dragging their souls into your court and remaking them into a minion of Bel, which includes lots of mind rape and reconfiguring for some (I.e. Undertale monsters) Some may be aspects, though.
>>
>>46243257
This only applies as a Bel, by the way. Regular people work like in SMT.
>>
>>46243241
Eh, Rinnegan is a pretty impressive grab bag just by itself and its prerequisites.
It's also the biggest hax ability in the series so naturally people gravitate towards it.

It's just that i already have what i consider the biggest advantage of the Sharingan (the technique copying) from Ranma 1/2, and the rest didn't seem worth 800/1200cp to me, so i picked up other stuff.
The things i really wanted from Naruto where shadow clones, the wood release, sensor and fuinjutsu. Everything else was just a bonus.

I also just don't like the Uchiha, so i didn't want to be one no matter the potential power up.

This will be removed if you beat both parts of the Jump, of course. And for those worrying about Drop-In being too weak, don't worry: They'll get other abilities...And a demon form in Part 2 that won't be as good as the others.

Slowly but surely still working on the Warframe update. All the Grineer perks are done, just working on the Corpus perks now. Then Infested, then Tenno, then Drop-In.

I underestimated how MUCH shit I'd have to put in since condensing a lot of the old perks into a Mod system (since literally the majority of them were just mods you could get in-setting, so it made way more sense to just make a Mod Crafting perk and make room), so I'm seriously digging into the lore for all this. >Messed around with Alchemy to create a special metal thats a fusion of Vibranium and Uru to replace their normal materials.
>Used the Hydra Blueprints to fuse them together.
>Created an AI based on a Nanoha Intelligent Device.
>Placed it in the armor.
>Created a relay with the DBC in my warehouse to allow me to open portals at-will.
>Created several redundant power sources on top of the base one that has power output rivalling a small star.
>Also created a modified MCU Mjolnir that taps into Spiral Energy.

The armor is basically indestructible, has a blistering fast healing factor, can shapeshift, fire off energy blasts equalling small nukes, travel FTL, the AI has technopathy on a planetary range, and when fit really hits the shan, I can use the DBC to open a portal to the LoT to fire an Exterminatus blast at whatever I want (and I'm going to do the same thing with a Death Star laser when the OT jump is released.)

Quick question cause i'm curious:
How do you deal with Origins in-jump ?

Do you use a 'Jumpchan retroactively inserted me in the universe', a 'A normal person will grow up until i'm inserted inside his/her mind', or something else ?
>>
>>46243775
Right now I don't really have an ultimate weapon that I can remember. If I had to pick something, it would probably be my ability to problem solve. Given a little time and a few resources I can come up with an answer to just about any problem.

I have been trying to miniaturize and weaponize the Eye of Helios from Borderlands without much success. I did have a lot of fun upgrading it to insane quantities to blow up that dead god's head/moon in Forgotten Realms.

The virus basically awakens the dormant solar data/karma of it's victims. It's kind of like the Stone Arrow: Those strong enough transform, and those too weak usually get eaten by those who were strong enough or die. The highest power level we see is enough to challenge Brahma, though this WAS by the most powerful character in-game, and Brahma WAS holding back a crapton. Other than that? They're still pretty strong, but not overpowered.

Probably the nanotechnology from GUNNM. There aren't many settings at all that have much of a protection against it passively infiltrating the bodies of the entire population so that you can, in an emergency, kill, heal or subdue any of them.

It's trivial to just throw near-infinite energy at a problem, but I prefer low energy solutions and dislike diplomancy.

It's just called The Stick although occasionally takes on a more fanciful name when in a situation where I have to give it some in-universe justification.

It started early on when I realised I had about 5 different rods/wands/staves from different jumps that boost magic in some way. Then the trident from Disney, the Skull of Corruption, a couple of magic spears and I realised it was inconvenient and unnecessary having that many sticks.

Then I got Duct-Tape Fusion from Invader Zim and combined them all taped them together.

Later in the run I was still doing this, sometimes adding totally different weapons to it and then using a couple of the 'can change shape' options you get here and there from weapons that I mostly had to track down in settings. Changes size and is indestructible a few times over as well. I always keep it on me whether it's with the appearance of a wand, staff, spear, pencil or scalpel. Can even be a totally different sort of melee weapon if I want it to due to the shapechanging.

Some would argue it's a case of me putting all my eggs in one basket but if the eggs are indestructible and the basket can summon hostile clones of those that would do me ill it's not really an issue.

When I commented on the original, the author said he believed there was, and I do too. It might take work, but the existing jump is pretty much entirely from the BBC "Sherlock" and the Guy Ritchie movies. I feel that a more literary take using the original stories has a lot of potential, have his approval, and have the backgrounds and 10+ perks and 10+ items written up, so... maybe?

The brief discussion where I started it (as anon, though I believe I reported it on IRC) is here (>>42181354) after commenting here (>>42155084), if anyone would care to check.

Items: Blue Ixie Plushie, Forgotten Shore Map Piece, Basic Arms
Drawbacks: Hopelessly Lost (+200)

I'm a motherfuckin' dragon. I can breathe fire through This Is, In Fact, My Final Form and fly and I sleep on a bed of gemstones.

Anyway, how'd I end up in a space station? I was trying to find Maraqua. Just the same, I think I'll look about. Probably play some minigames, earn some coin. There's a lot to do here, but not much of a story, which is fine to think about but sucks to write about.

Still, new rare materials, new places to spraypaint, and I can show my companions what I did for about a year of my childhood. The Neopets themselves were very friendly and given permission to explore the Kerykeion, while all the weapons were stored on the Light. The crew liked all the cute strangers exploring things, and they were even allowed to use some of the more advanced technology for peaceful purposes like making potions and strange food. It was pretty fun, over all.

I spent a lot of time just wandering about, and earned myself a small reputation as an explorer who'd stumble upon rare or impossible finds and then be totally unable to tell you where they were located. Ancient tombs, buried treasure, rare mineral deposits, hidden labs, fairy abodes. This world is chock full of stuff to see with a minimum of combat when you can run.

Great adventure, this.

Dragon's Crown:

Dwarf 100
59 years old
Epic Proportions
Soundtrack
Basic Attack
Sacrifice 300
Air 400
Punch
Grappling 550
Grand Smash 750
Frenzy 1050
Animate Skeleton 1350
Gold 1400
No Looty 1200
Pallet Pain 1000

Well this was unexpected. Usually go magic when it's on offer and usually am not a dwarf.

Perks are perks though and the Dwarf seems to have the best stuff.

Epic Proportions I think more or less just makes me what I presumably was in my origin. Another soundtrack and Basic Attack are fine. Sacrifice is a 'take an allies damage' perk and I can't think of any I already have, really useful for escort stuff.

Air lets me transfer fightin ability to the air which is great for someone who can fly around. Also buffs smashing people into the ground or something.

Punch makes me better at punching hard. Can't hurt. Well, not me anyway.

Grappling means my wrestling ability allows me to force things to wrestle me and gives me an edge in a wrestle. Strikes me that will go well with the mask from that LoT DLC. Pretty funny last resort option really.

Grand Smash increases thrown weapon power which is great as I do throw around my main weapon a lot.

Frenzy sort of felt obliged to take due to it being expensive for my origin but I do like the idea of hitting people at full velocity without slowing down. Pretty great if you can go really fast.

Animate Skeleton lets you animate 1-4 skeletons that is then imbued with your durability and skill at arms. That is totally fucking insane so was pretty much essential.

Ended up without money and totally unable to eat food. Will tell people I've taken a vow not to eat or drink until my people are restored to their rightful homes. No Looty is fine, plenty of gold in the warchests. Save money on not buying any food or drink as well.

Well first you'd have to become a vampire, then sleep at the bottom of the sea for 100 years, then get murdered by a high school delinquent, then have your finger bone resurrected as a green baby, then have a priest with overwhelming amounts of devotion to you (and also possibly homosexual affection?) repeat random key words and prime numbers at it, and THEN have /him/ have a specific Stand that evolves through this method to gain absolute power over gravity, which he then must use to accelerate time until the universe resets itself 36 times, and then hope he DOESN'T die of oxygen poisoning in a ghost room.

A shitposter latched on the words "not going to upload the supplement," used it to kick off a shitstorm in thread. Due to this being in the past where due to one dude's insecurities with an IRC channel there was a MASSIVE divide between Thread and IRC, where both sides quite frankly didn't want anything to do with each other, thread started flinging shit and IRC started their own bickering about what do.

JoJo got shat on by both sides for trying to explain and work shit out. She raged and just left.

>>
>>46247318
to* Whoops.
>>
>>46247318

You have to let Kivat-bat the Second bite you every time you want to transform. That's how it worked in the show. Watch this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RrkQPLwWmXI

As for the dying thing? That only happened because normal human bodies can't withstand all the energy Kivat the 2nd pumps into it. A Jumper should be fine.
>>
>>46247318
I can actually answer this one, I've seen Kiva
You'd need to get bit every time, since Kivat-Bat the 2nd is the henshin item for the Dark Kiva.
It's only a worry if you're a mere human, I think.
Otoya was in all respects a normal human, so the Dark Kiva's power overwhelmed him.
If you've gotten any alt form or additions to your body, you should be stronger
(...Now that I think about it, would that mean the reason Wataru can keep transforming is because he's half-fangire? Or is it just because his form is 'sealed' with the chains)
>>
>>46247384

...oh. Well, that's...a shame. How ironic after all our support for Law it's the chaosfags who'd get a shot at summoning the Voice of God after the jump, albeit through technomindrape. A-at least there's still the Metatron from DS2 right?

Definitely only carrying out the half-sword idea post-jump, though. All that Angelroid/Safeguard/Nephilim research is about to pay big dividends.

It's like quantum leaping, but the body was always yours. Like reincarnation, but instant knowledge of one's past life.

But the best analogy comes from Demon: The Descent, where the quantum machines that call themselves angels and demons can wear the very concept of someone's existence like a mask and swap it out for others-ones bartered for, stolen or assembled out of other peoples' scraps.

Does the Mental Block mutation from Fallout 4 just resist telepathy and precog and the like, or does it also resist telekinesis?

You CAN call on him for assistance, he's just not part of your court. Think of it sort of like a more violent Guest Star: You call on him, he shows up, helps you fight, then returns to The Great Will. Of course, the exchange is that Chaos!Bels can't call on his full power...

Just things like mind reading/mental attacks; doesn't work on precog unless they're reading your mind to do it. Purely "mental" effects only; more "physical" psychic powers like telekinesis aren't resisted.

Oh! Oh right, fair enough. Guess summoning the DS2 Metatron and him and once is just gonna result in some awkward looks, huh?

...

...also, isn't Metatron Enoch, transfigured into an angel by YHVH somehow? So...being Abel and all, would he technically be our brother? And YHVH our grandad?

Damn. Between him and Naoya those post-Spark family thanksgiving dinners are going to be super awkward.
>>
>>46248527
Seth is Abel's brother, not Enoch. That would be Abel's nephew. So Metatron is your nephew. Continuing on this, while Adam is Abel's father, everyone in the know refers to Abel as God's beloved son, even Naoya, and no one else is referred to like this, not even Adam himself. Meaning that while YHVH is his/your granddad, they had a more father/son relationship here.

So uh, how badly would Devil Survivor's plot be fucked up if a non-Bel killed Beldr when he first appears? Because I'm doing a chain where the jumper has very little meta-knowledge about most non ultra mainstream series and with the build I'm using there's a good chance they'll just chuck a mistletoe/Devil's Fuge branch at Beldr and call it a day.
>>

That would be a bad idea, because a Bel HAS to absorb a Bel's power. Guess who has the most Bel power currently and will be able to challenge Babel if he gains anymore? Which is a loss condition, by the way.

Generic Magical Girl

Generic Spacefuture
9 years old
Reincarnated Warrior 100
Monster Sense 200
Basic Elemental Zap
Prophetic Visions 500
Aggregate Impact Psychotherapy 800
Always On Duty 950
That Did Not Happen 1250
Magical Weapon 1300
Fighting Real Monsters 1000

9 years old was a pretty poor roll but I think I may well just play it out. Little kid taking out genocidal aliens and psychopathic lunatics.

Monster Sense is pretty cheap at 100 CP, sensing evil magic and monsters that increases in how good it is.

Basic Elemental Zap is a freebie. Probably going darkness as part of some elemental team. Also probably the only magical boy on the team so likely the resident edgy bastard (comparatively, I mean this is still a Magical Girl setting so probably a low cap on edginess).

Prophetic Visions is a cool perk. I like little prophetic perks and this one focuses on visions of battles which is a great thing to be able to prepare for.

Aggregate Impact Psychotherapy is one of a bunch of perks that more or less let me punch people in the face as a means to becoming best friends.

Always On Duty is more or less just a tax to prevent me from having to do the sparkly dance thing to get the abilities bought here. I mean a lot of people can probably tolerate that shit but not I.

That Did Not Happen is really cool.

Magical Weapon is for the leftover 50 CP. Will probably make it a spear and combine it with the Stick. Actually adds the vanishing aspect which is dead neat.

Drawback more or less means that the world is probably a particularly bad dystopian future with only a small boy and a gang of small girls holding back the darkness. May eventually abandon the genre to run around as a little kid version of Rorschach.

-Background: Drop-In (Free) -Ho boy here we go, time to mess things up.

-Good Genes (900CP) -Excellent at splicing AND can study the work of other geneticists? Oooh BOY.
-Jumper Powered Warrior (600CP) (Discount) -IIII'm gonna study this. Yes.
-Stylish Wardrobe (500CP) -Gotta. Look. CLASSY.
-Blueprint Z (300CP) -Yaaaaaaay more augmentation stuff.
-RU Disc (0CP) -BOOP. ROBOT CONSTRUCTION TIME.
Dice Rolls: 26 years old
-End Choice: Next Adventure

Yeah I'm not gonna lie. This entire time here can probably be summed up to me going "So the villain wants to be a god, huh? It'd be an awful shame if someone went and hijacked his everything". So... robots. Lots of robots. I'm going to be like Robotnik in just sending tons of robots to steal things and grab what I can. In fact, we're just going to go corny on this and actually use Swatbots on this. Because WHY NOT.
>>
>>46248639
YJ, while I'm still thinking about it, how do you suppose taking the All Roads drawback as a Synth would work?

Is it just retconned into being a thing, or what?

WAS I SECRETLY A ROBOT ALL ALONG?
>>
So, apparently there's no speedforce in the young justice universe. Does that mean that if we get our hands on whatever formula the flash used and reproduce it successfully we can get full flash speed and keep it post jump since it's not reliant on the speedforce?
>>
>>46249083

Not sure as it isn't mentioned as a possibility. You either absorb the Belessence and they come for you or the essence floats around until someone nomz it.
>>
>>46249153
Yeah, you could go the "retcon" route and be a robot all along. I'll need to account for the Ghoul drawback and the Super Mutant origin when I update the Jump next week.

>>46249203
Well, there's a lot of variables to that, in addition to actually being lucky enough to reproduce the experiment. Wally ended up being much slower than Bart or Barry, for example, not to mention how the formula might react to a Jumper with their weird mishmash of powers and perks. But yeah, if you do manage to get speed powers you'll keep them.
>>
>>46249437
Damn it, there was traffic! We couldn't get through the highway Kamen Rider because some Angel couldn't move their fat eldritch ass out of the way! And the answer is it goes to the nearest Bel. So whether that's Belial, Jezebel, Belzaboul, or in the worst case, Belberith is up to you.
>>
Okay, DDS question for everyone: Does anyone care if I just assign you to Embryon? Aside from the fact that they're the main characters and the canonical winners, they're also the smallest, weakest tribe(considering the Vanguards get wiped out in the prologue), so there will still be a challenge. Plus how necessary they are to the plot. What do you all think? Is this to railroady?
>>
>>46249758

>>
>>46249758
Go for it. More plot closer is always nice.
>>
>>46248968
>>46249437

>>
>>46247961
Yoooou... might get shot at. Granted I don't think a pipe pistol could actually stop you at this point, but it's worth noting.
The Institute basically replaces people with Synth lookalikes for nebulous purposes, which has made everyone extremely paranoid of all things Synth and Institute related.

That said there are people who sympathize, and it is possible to change people's minds on a personal basis, especially if you're very obviously a robot instead of trying to "hide" it.
Nick Valentine is a synth who is beloved in his community just because he goes out of his way to help people find missing persons.

It's just something to keep in mind, really.

As long as Abel is fighting with you, you're good. And he usually will show up, considering Beldr doesn't show up long enough earlier. By the way, you ARE aware you have to actually fight him, yes? Not just throw it at him, but beat him to death with it?
>>
>>46249925
Yeah, I figured it was one of those things where I need to be completely open about it. "Hey I'm a Synth, no I'm not with the actual Institute, they're dicks. I just want to make sure people are okay." It'll be difficult, it'll be time consuming, but I figured there would be some bumps in the road.

Also... weird question, is Libriomancer considered a 'kosher' jump nowadays? I'm really unsure if I should slot it into a build or not.
>>

I've been asking the same question for a while now myself, to no clear answer. >>
>>46249998

>>
>>46249998
I think the jump has a bad reputation at this point, but there's nothing technically wrong with it now. Rather it's in this weird nebulous area because there was such a controversy around it and now the jumpmaker has seemingly vanished for a bit.
There's also the worry that if the jumpmaker does return, because of the controversy, there might be a sweeping change or significant ruling. So there's that.
But it should be fine for now.

Pretty sure it does scale up, yeah. It's a little hard to control what without Controlled Sparking, but you'll get good stuff.

Basically, it works by going full mad scientist and ignoring the laws of physics/nature for your creations.

Even the steampunk stuff gets you pretty zany stuff too... there's time-stasis devices, with apparently actual time travel later?, a wand that throws lightning bolts, and a sapient, regenerating magnetic train of doom that eats metal and magnetizes metal that normally would be unaffected by magnetism, biological abominations, and mindcontrol wasps, artifacial humans, and revival of the dead to name a few things.

Golden Sun - Dark Dawn

Willpower 300
Magitechnician 600

Monstrous Form 1050
2000 Gold 1100
Warriors of Bilbin 1300
Leeroy: Monk, Beastman, Physical Training, Counter-Rush 300
Mimic Curse 1200
Silent Protagonist 1000

No idea about this. As a young child there was a game I had on an Atari computer on a floppy called Golden Axe which I didn't much care for. When I then saw Golden Sun some years later I saw Golden Sun in a shop I mistook it for Golden Axe and despite being exactly the sort of game I liked I avoided it. So there's some searing insight into the journey I've been on as a human being. Only here folks.

Went Dark Dawn as I preferred the sound of Bilibin as a little western European medieval country is easy to understand. This then came in handy later on with my import.

Warrior Adept was because I really don't know anything, the capstone is turning into an elemental monster and one of the options is wind bird. Figured that'd be neat.

Take a lot of perks like Mercantile and this is a cheap one. Redistribution of wealth is an easy way to make a positive impact.Or get a really big cannon built or something.

Weapon Training is free. More Willpower, sort of thinking maybe I should have gone Green rather than Yellow Lantern.

Magitechnician is another sort of perk I like to take. Sticking elements into magitech or something seems to be the emphasis on this one so I guess I'd mostly be going with air. Still nice to fold into all the other similar stuff I've got.

Elemental Adept was for some air stuff and also as I wasn't sure whether it was a prerequisite for the element aspect of Monstrous Form.

Monstrous Form lets me turn into a giant lightning bird thing. In a jump I don't understand that's about all I can aim for.

Used an import even though it was expensive as I had some leftover CP. Chose Monk as Counter-Rush is sweet and useful.

Question:

I don't want to keep genetically modifying my kids as I jump, so that they're still recognizably my children. And yet at the same time Heredity only works on stuff from a single jump, and while it's perfect - it's limited.

Where can I get perks to teach people stuff at a really accelerated rate?

Nah. I didn't take it either.

I like having distinct powers, instead of shifting them around by getting a giant head and regurgitating them. It's just not stylish.

Besides, fuck Minus drawback, noping the hell out of that.

In Worm, I tried as hard as I could to be the hero that Earth Bet deserved after what happened in Darkest Dungeon. I did my best to make sure that the jails were good enough to hold in parahumans, helped to reconstruct after disasters, healed people, saved kidnapped children, trying to recover people that had been injured in endbringer battles, evacuating the area during endbringer battles and when Scion attacked, giving superpowers to fairly decent people, stopping muggings, and helping old ladies across the street. I like to think I succeeded at making it a slightly better place, and that the situation was a bit better than it would have been if I wasn't there.
Also, thanks for reminding me of that movie. It was great.
>>
>>46251670
The only one I can find that let's you teach things quickly is Teacher from Mahou Sensei Negima.

>>46251717
You mean something like making the perk's power be divided by the total number of jumps you've been too?
Where your first jump would bestow 100% of the powers to your children but at jump 100 your kids only get 1% from each jump?

Your kids would gradually get weaker over time unless you stacked powers obsessively, but they'd be more diverse in capability.

I'm not sure if that would count as an upgrade or not.
At this point the only thing I can think of is to ask the jumpmaker themselves.
>>
Okay, so this is going a little slower than usual, but I'm also slightly tired, so...Here, have the backgrounds for DDS 1.

Heck, if I wasn't playing a Jumper who fits the Minus template like a glove I'd have gone full Abnormal.

>>46251606
Never. Whenever others point out things like terraforming Nechronica's world into a habitable planet under an empire of Dolls restored to human form, giving Pinky a shoulder to cry on in MGNQ, defending Xuanzang in Journey to the West or bringing about a world of Law in Devil Survivors they forget that as a cosmic principle of order, both tyranny and harmony advance our hand. By now, all we do is in the name of control-not power, but the capacity to control the world with means both overt and subtle. That we are willing to lay down our life for our cause is proof of commitment, not nobility.

We have far-reaching goals that stretch beyond the scope of the chain, and heroes don't have a monopoly on determination. Heroes would not survive what we have, and idealism is a fool's game.

Heck, even from the beginning we were never reall a hero-not like some of our companions are. Just a dorky tourist running away from home.
>>
>>46252197
Glad you like it, Anon! Of course, there may be more to it than you think...After all, Sera was in the egg for a reason...the same reason why the members of Embryon remember YOU as well, and why Angel asked for someone who looks like you as well. After all, you're a Drop-In to the setting. And the setting is the Junkyard, is it not?

It's been a while since I posted a build so I am going to post my tentative Fallout 4 Build

Jump # 111 - Fallout 4

Starting Location: Sanctuary Hills (Free choice)
Background: Institute (0)
Race: Human (0)

Perks:
*Crafter (100)
*Charmer (100)
*Chemist (0)
*Science! (300, Discount)
> Science and Chemist are likely redundant with what I got last time but good to have my bases covered

Equipment
*Starting Gear (0)

Companions
*Import (300)
* Cannon Companion + Legendary - Fawkes (200 +100)
*Cannon Companion - Nick Valentine (200)

Drawbacks:

*All Roads + 0
*There's a settlement that needs your help + 300

I first visited the Commonwealth in my 8th jump. I started there. I made a lot of enemies and a few friends. I like to think I improved the state of things and made the wasteland a bit safer place.
Now I am back and with the power to make substantial changes. It may wind up futile but I intend to bring peace to all of the factions. I intend to save Father and hopefully make him less of an ass. Giving the Sole Survivor the reunion they deserved instead of the one they got.
I am also going to try and bring along a couple of old friends who I met the first time. I think Fawkes would enjoy the chance to see new places and meet new people. Since we both like helping people I think this should work out.
Also yeah maybe making Fawkes legendary is a bit overkill but I am assuming that he is just really tough not tough enough to absorb multiple nukes like he was in the game.
Nick might be a bit tougher to convince to accompany me. Hopefully though he would enjoy the chance to make more of a life of his own in worlds the original Nick Valentine couldn’t even imagine.

So I'm in WORM, took Thanatos, and broke Teacher out of the birdcage.

Brainwashed Teacher, took him to a hideout, and started bringing him scum to 'teach' (gags, hobbos, etc) since they are effectively tinkers, Thanatos will gain tinker powers for every one he gets, according to the specialization I tell teacher to pass.

1)How high in the evil scale is this? is it like asshole bad or psychopath bad?
2)Do you think Cauldron would be ok/help if I promise to make a Zion killing laser?
3)Does thanatos even work like that?
>>
>>46252364
I'm considering it, given that Brahma acts a lot like an actually justified Polaris, and it has the same data theme as her. So what I'm thinking is a drawback that makes him a (less psychotic) Administrator.
>>
>>46252358
Oh, I see. That's interesting. So I take it then in part 2 being a Drop In is going to have some interesting consequences? Are we going to wind up fusing with our waifu/husbando into one perfedct being? Cause that could work as a Drop In perk, now that I think about it.
>>
>>46252073
I'm staying out of any even vaguely Real-Eater related rulings. I know nothing about the setting or power, and it seems like it has all kinds of rules that even the people here keep arguing about. So I can't really tell you whether that would work or not, even though you're applying it to my jump.

>>46251984
I'm afraid that wouldn't work, either. Mostly on account of Cosmic Fact being Skill and not a Power and therefore not combineable, but secondly because I can't think of combos with it for the life of me that would work and not have major problems. Which, unfortunately, we've run into before.

>>46251077
It'll still improve your technology, but probably less than you'd think The basis of all Sparky stuff appears to be actually done by the Spark in question with a wrench/tool, and other than maybe Agatha's little clanks it seems trying to use more advanced tools doesn't work very well. You will still be able to get up to crazy shit, obviously, but it probably won't be the massive increase that staying in steampunk handbuilt stuff would be.
>>
>>46252428
Part 2 Drop-Ins are Cyber Shamans like Sera, either being her sibling or just another coincidentally discovered one. The perk to become the perfect being will be the reward for beating the ultimate drawback, allowing you to achieve enlightenment. Whether you do it by fusing or just facing your own demons is up to you.
>>
>>46252395
1. Psychopath bad. Replace your "scum" with the more serious higher-up gangbangers that knowingly run human trafficking rings that result in forced prostitution or murder people for shits and giggles and it's only asshole bad.
2. So long as you keep it on the down low.
3. No clue. Teacher doesn't give people mini-Shards far as I know, but Thanatos might not care and just connect with Teacher's Shard to figure out how to make a copy of a specific power. It might also decide they don't really have powers.
>>
>>46252395
Doing anything amounting to cooperation with Teacher frankly makes you a worse person than Jack Slash in my book. Doubly so if you're using Thanatos to farm his powers. I hope the Simurgh personally turns the tables on you and forces you to relive your worst memories endlessly.

Cauldron is overly reliant on Thinker powers instead of actually thinking so yes, if you show them a prototype they'd at least consider you as a Plan B

You have to kill things with Thanatos to get their poewrs. You monster.
>>
>>46252395
Pretty evil. You're treating people as raw materials instead of agents, most ethical philosophies agree that's the worst thing you can do to a person. Even treating them as tools is better.

Cauldron would probably be okay with that, sadly.

Thanatos probably doesn't actually work that way, if it could permanently absorb temporary power boosts it would be way too strong. Also, Teacher's an asshole and would betray you. Also, how are you getting into the Birdcage?
>>
>>46252552
Wait, no-that doesn't quite convey my utter disgust for COOPERATING WITH SAINT:

I hope Behemoth anally rapes you and sets off a nuclear explosion in your colon.
>>
>>46252525
Hey Marvel Anon, while you're here, how do Cosmic Fact and Making of a Myth perks interact?
>>
>>46252611
Making of a Myth is by Worm_Anon actually.
>>
>>46252395
>1)How high in the evil scale is this? is it like asshole bad or psychopath bad?
Short of assassinating BBEGs or other people of that sort, premeditated killing is pretty much always a bit beyond being an asshole. Exactly how bad the people you're killing are is what's going to determine how evil this is, but I think killing in general pretty much always comes across as kind of fucked up.

>2)Do you think Cauldron would be ok/help if I promise to make a Zion killing laser?
If they think you've got a chance of pulling it off, and wouldn't end up being even worse than Zion afterwards, they'd give you pretty much whatever you wanted. Plot spoiler examples I think, shortly after the new Endbringers showed up, Mood Narg asked for them to give her a huge number of people to kill, and they said "sure." GU demanded a huge number of parahuman sacrifices, and they said "we can't afford that right now, but we can give you some now and the rest later."

>3)Does thanatos even work like that?
No clue.

However, I'm suddenly wondering how Thanatos would interact with the Butcher. The Butcher's whole premise is that whoever kills the Butcher gets nerfed versions of the Buthcer's powers, which stacks with whatever powers they had before, plus has the minds of all previous Butcher's crammed in their head. I wonder if Thanatos would be able to bypass this.
>>
>>46252552
>>46252558
He never actually said he was working with teacher. He said he brainwashed him. There's probably not enough of his mind left to consider betrayal.
>>
>>46252395
I don't think that would work in the first place.
The people Teacher uses his mojo on don't have Shards, so there's nothing to steal by killing them.

You'd be better off teaming up with Cauldron in the first place. You could ask them to change their modus operandi so that they only kidnap pieces of shit. They'd probably do it; they have the power and resources to be picky.

It does make you a psychopath, but psychopaths can have their purpose, especially if they can be pointed in the right direction like you obviously can.

The existence of all humanity in all universes is at stake here, I think we can spare a few rapists and murderers
>>
>>46252531
So I'll have to find some other way to combine with my waifu whose name is conveniently just right so that when merged with mine it's a pun? Darn. (Seriously, Sera+Serph to form Seraph? When Sera's mom/dad was named Angel? That's just painful.) Because if I'm going to stop Brahman, I'm going to need the power of magical intersexuality before the final battle is over.
>>
>>46252091
Oh god, this is the one with Demifiend as a NG+ boss isn't it?

Teacher being an asshole is a fundamental part of who he is. Getting rid of that is probably impossible no matter how much you brainwash him. He's that much of a dick.
>>
>>46252681
It's arguably worse, though.
>>
>>46252552

I'm Talking People who would get the death sentence anyways. not people who had a hard life and where pushed and want out.
>Also, Teacher's an asshole and would betray you. Also, how are you getting into the Birdcage?
A)He cannot betray the guy who brainwashed him. That's the point of the brainwash!
B)Teleportation? I was planning blast in to raid the place for Glasting, Lung etc. and then port out.

Look, justify yourself all you want, at the end of the day you're basically farming people for powers for your own personal benefit. Or endangering wildlife, in the case of Toriko. Them being murderers doesn't excuse you being a power-hungry psychopath.

If you're going to be a monster, at least own up to it and don't pretend you're worth any more than the bastards you cut down.
>>
>>46252727
>I'm Talking People who would get the death sentence anyways. not people who had a hard life and where pushed and want out.
That they themselves have done evil does not mean that you can do evil towards them.

>B)Teleportation? I was planning blast in to raid the place for Glasting, Lung etc. and then port out.
Do you have a companion with the Doormaker shard? Because regular teleportation doesn't work on the Birdcage, it's spatially warped so that trying to teleport in just kills you. The only thing that can get in or out is Doormaker.
>>
>>46252825
>Or endangering wildlife, in the case of Toriko.
Implying Zebra did anything wrong
>>
>>46252806
Teacher does, can and gets off scott-free at the end of Worm. He essentially violates one of the nicest people in the setting-an AI-by forcibly programming her to never betray him. During one of the battles his people screw over the other heroes and villains.
>>
>>46252858
Zebra didn't. This anon would be. He's talking about killing the Eight Kings to gank their powers.
>>
>>46252806
>I'm not even sure it's possible to go any lower than that.
You just reminded me of an interesting factoid I wanted to bring up.

Apparently, a while ago on le Reddit, the author rescinded Genoscythe's canon status. That mean, when you go to Worm, the cape name "Genoscythe the Eyeraper" is available. I'm now harboring a tiny hope that, when the update eventually comes, there's a drawback where you have to use that name and get mocked for it.
>>
>>46252825
>power-hungry psychopath.
Well, I could kill the sever year old girl that has been living with SL9 for the medic boost, the awkward ward for the whatever his specialty was, Collin for his,etc etc. or I could just kill the one that are going for a lifetime in prison anyways.

You know how much it would help to have super-doctor things?
>>
>>46252765
Sword and Sorcery, the Drop-In capstone, it essentially makes you and your adventures(Whichever one you want) into the first legend in the jump's history.
>>46252781
Unknown. It's debated whether he's the actual supreme being of Hindu myth or another aspect of the Great Will, though with DS2 came the theory that he's another Administrator, like Errai is YHVH. The drawback takes that theory and runs with it. However, either way hes's out for blood, and only Seraph(Or you, in the 800cp drawback) can calm him down by showing Mankind isn't ALL evil.
>>
>>46252806

Jack kills more, but Teacher enslaves and addicts everyone he gifts power to. Probably hard to say who's worse, given that Teacher will be around for a lot longer and amass vastly greater direct influence over people.

Of course, Contessa is still around in the end, so she could just wrap Teacher around her little finger and make it all work out fine.
>>
>>46252763
>I think you misunderstand, Anon. Facing Brahma, or Brahman, IS the ultimate drawback, along with facing your own inner demons. Otherwise, Seraph would do it. You can become the perfect being before fighting him, it's just staying that way after that's in question.
No, I got that fighting Brahman was the ultimate drawback. I just thought that the perk was the reward for fighting him. And I'd want to be Ardhanarishvara before fighting him. But if I can turn into him/her before the fight and just need the reward to stay that way, then it's alright.
>>
>>46252395
What >>46252548, >>46252552, >>46252558.

Also, on 3), Thanatos isn't a straight power copier, you likely get a weaker, slight variation of a feature of the target's abilities. WormAnon also explained some time ago (I'll see if I can find in the archive) that if someone has many abilities or something with very broad applications, you only get a part/aspect of what they do; killing a kryptonian might yield strenght, speed, heat vision, etc, but not all of them.

Honestly, if you're going to farm people to feed Thanatos, your best bet is Noelle/Echidna. Her clones are all by default omnicidally evil whose sole directives are 1)Protect Noelle and 2)Kill/burn/rape everything the original cherishes, and they randomly have variations of the original's power. You'll still have to kidnap people to do it, but its both much less evil, covers a much wider array of powers, and you can keep killing them until you have as many/much power(s) as you want.

And convincing the Travellers is much easier, since all they want is a cure for Noelle's mutations and a way back to their dimension, both which are achievable with in-setting powers. And all of them have really good powers for the first batch of clones. Win-win.
>>
>>46252846
How about the link perk of the warehouse? Is pretty much assumed that anything from jc is meta. Even then, he could just blast out, run for it, then port again.
>>
>>46252942
Frankly at the rate you're going I wouldn't be surprised if you did it anyway.

You're not the first to go on a murderspree on Worm because it's the laziest, cheapest way to grab as many powers as possible in one go but you are the first to involve Teacher in your plans.
>>
>>46252947
I think I'm wording this wrong; It still is the reward for the drawback, it's just normally you can't achieve it at ALL, so I specified that you can become it before you fight him so that it's a fair fight. You don't get it unless you take it. The staying that way is because Serph and Sera DIDN'T stay that way, Seraph moved on and they reincarnated.
>>
>>46252974
That might work, if he opened a portal before entering the Birdcage and then made another one inside it. He couldn't just blast out of the Birdcage without killing himself, though, not unless he was extremely durable. There are a lot of very deadly traps in the space-warped area between the inside and outside.
>>
>>46252881
>Killing the Eight Kings to gank their powers
No, im making one of the most "He deserves to die" guys in Worm turn villains into low level tinkers to build up tech-power. I don't see how that is "Endangering the World"
>>
>>46253026
No, I got it, I think I'm the one saying things wrong. I wouldn't want to be Ardhanarishvara unless I was going to fight Brahman, anyway, it would be kind of pointless without that purpose to direct itself towards.
>>
>>46252866
>>46252945

I know all that.
And yet, as terrible as all that is, Teacher wasn't the one who INTENTIONALLY incited Zion into an omnicidal killing spree.

That would be Jack Slash.

Jack Slash is objectively an order of magnitude more evil than Teacher.
>>
>>46253063
You said you were also going to kill the broken powerful creatures in Toriko. Up here >>46252727

And if you acknowledge that the character deserves to die, just kill him. Don't try to justify your lust for power.
>>
>>46252944

Didn't the final battle end with Seraph basically having a Persona moment where they 'realize' that they, Brahman, and the world were all one existence? If so that seems to point at either a really high up Great Will aspect, or one of those weird collective unconscious entities like in Persona.
>>
>>46252988

So, in the Elder Scrolls jumps, is it possible to achieve CHIM without zero-summing yourself? Moreover, what are the implications of you being an outsider? Are you not self-aware from the start? Shouldn't you be 'Ruling king' from the start, thanks to that fact?

If anything, the reverse? You're more likely to, upon seeing a FTL ship, start building one with a hammer, two sporks, a storage tank, and a teacup than to start being able to upgrade the original ship. The only one that did meaningful damage happened when every surviving Tinker on Earth Bet was made to cooperate for a few hours on a house-sized project by Skitter.

There was a weapon designed to surpass another weapon designed to knock the Moon out of orbit-and it only made Scion angry. He was just knocked out of the atmosphere, and he came back to kill the scientist who built them without sustaining meaningful damage.
>>
>>46253425
There are a lot of potential flaws in that plan. For one thing, we don't know if Thanatos can absorb Teacher-made powers. For another, we don't know if Echidna can clone Teacher-made powers. My suggestion, instead? Eat Bonesaw with Thanatos, steal Swarm and Blasto's tech like she did in canon, then just clone huge amounts of Tinkers to feed to Thanatos. Better control, more reliable, doesn't have the risk of the horrifying rampaging monster managing to clone something it can use to break free of your control and eat the world.
>>
>>46253507
Yea but notes and rules are for nerds, I'd rather reason this out myself to see if it's viable, and I suppose not, as outlined >>46253489
>>

>>46253489

Wouldn't you basically be a combination of that song that gets stuck in your head and keeps repeating for a while, and a fanfic reverse self insert from the Godheads point of view?
>>
>>46253367
If you could achieve CHIM, you would probably just spark.
>>
>>46253465
Yeah, that helps.

So how much of the science behind it will I understand outside of the Madness Place (I'm assuming that's what happens when a spark goes full cackling mad scientist mode) if I take Controlled Sparking?
>>
>>46253485
RETARDED ENOUGH TO WORK!
>>
>>46253538
>Yea but notes and rules are for nerds

Then why even ask what you can do in the jump?

Go to any TES thread and ask about the mechanics.
>>
>>46253367

Well, there's only one way to find out?

Just give them CHIM - the jumper is a figment of your imagination, so "let your SI be aware of you".

Imagine how it would react to that, and if it can handle it, then let it persuade you to give it a much better life with blackjack and hookers and extra CP and all that good stuff.
>>
>>46253521
I don't need the clones to have powers! i just need the whimpiest bastard i can find, clone him, then have teacher pass something to the clones. Really Do you think i want more of Teacher running around?
>>
>>46253576
Yes, the Madness Place is when you go full-on mad-scientist Sparky. Your voice gets all weird, you generally go crazy, you might get insanely strong and tough, etc. And most importantly you have IDEAS!

As to how much you understand outside it... You'll remember base principles and key ideas, but when you start to apply it you'll also start drifting back into the Madness Place and building new things. It's not really a perk for learning how to build new technology the "standard" way. And yes, that's even with Controlled Sparking: that way you get a new FTL ship rather than the principles you learned teaching you an idea you needed to create a color-changing beam that locally changes the speed of light to make your clothes look different by redshifting them.
>>
>>46253664
Why are you even involving Echidna at all, then? I thought you were saying you were going to have Teacher empower someone, then use Echidna cloning to get a bunch of permutations of their power. But if you're just cloning guys and then empowering them, you can skip Echidna entirely and not have to deal with the horrible rampaging monster. Use other cloning tech.

Huh. But in setting Sparks do appear to do a lot better with a good education and scientific basis, and those without... kinda don't do so well. Calming pie, anyone?

This implies they actually do 'Sparkify' normal science, so upgrading other jump's science should actually work, as far as I understand it.
>>
>>46253717
Ohhh that. sorry u thougth you meant actual fighting powers.

But no, sorry i kindof skimped of every tech for direct power. Worm was the first one i could go genius because of tinker powers. but yes, if they all get tinker powers, it should be easy to deal with the clones.
>>
>>46253681
>that way you get a new FTL ship rather than the principles you learned teaching you an idea you needed to create a color-changing beam that locally changes the speed of light to make your clothes look different by redshifting them.
Could I still apply it in different ways like that?

And thanks for the help.
>>
>>46253758
Hey, man, that pie WORKED. Don't knock it.
>>
>>46253758
Calming pie... which worked perfectly well? I'm not sure I understand your point. I mean, there definitely are "strong" and "weak" sparks, and there may well be a relation to how much actual science they understand; that gives them new ideas of ways to break the universe over your knee (that FTL ship you saw, in these examples). But ultimately, we have no idea what they could do to non-GG science, given that that's definitionally impossible.

>>46253798
If that's what you were aiming for, sure.
>>
>>46253807
Well, yes. Which is also an example /for/ my argument. That guys knows pies, so he can make Sparky pies.
>>
>>46253807
Yeah, he didn't make calming pie because he was a dumb spark. He made calming pie because he was a crazy spark. That's something that could happen to anyone with the spark, regardless of intelligence or education.
>>
>>46253824
Which is why each spark has an area. I believe I talked about that in the jump, though it's been a while. Most of the main cast appear to be physics and mechanics focussed, some are more specifically good with Clanks or with chemistry (or Spiders), and some are apparently Social Science Sparks. Strong Spark lets you kind of be interdisciplinary the way the main cast are, but I don't think that has to do with what educational basis they started from. Unless we get more information, that is.

Fair enough. Personally it seems to me that it's atleast heavily influenced by educational basis, which would mean it'd work perfectly well with upgrading other jump's tech.

I presume Jump-Chan stops time, sets it up in a museum in another universe, and looks for the reaction.

Or maybe it scales with effort/talent.

Someone is working on Disgaea.

Innistrad is fine though. Just think about a way to keep jumpers from getting a Spark there.

I'm not completely sure, but I think someone was working on Disgaea, or might have been.

So you might want to check first just incase.

>>

It's a steampunk setting, anon. Do you go to star wars and complain about stars and wars?
>>
>>46254350

You might want to point out that if they do somehow steal/gain a spark it would be a crappy post-mending one.

Gunnerkrigg Court

The Forest
Child of the Forest 100
Debts Repaid
Omnilearner 300
Beauty Is In the Faces We Wear 400
Sufficiently Advanced EtherScience 800
Monstrous Biology 1000
Shapeshifter 1400
You Do Not Exist 1600
Jackel 1500
I Know What I'm Doing 1300
Coyote Collar 1000

So I'm an egotistical shapeshifting monster scientist. Sort of sums up the whole run.

Didn't really know the setting, just googled it and I liked the Coyote guy so decided to pretty much just take that build.

Omnilearner and Sufficiently Advanced EtherScience seem like pretty good learning/science perks. Science here seems pretty nonsensical as well so it's probably best to pick some up.

Monstrous Biology, Shapeshifter and You Do Not Exist basically act to give me a type of shapeshifting that doesn't need to make physical sense. Pretty heavily rely on the Venture Bros shapeshifting perk but this opens up some weird options. You Do Not Exist comes with the problem of changing shape requiring belief and believing you're an item too hard can cause total personality annihilation and you cease to exist. Figure some of the 'sense of self' perks can probably help a lot with this, Heart of a Child from Narnia comes to mind. If the stuff important to you stays important to you no matter what you probably can't believe you're a waterfall hard enough that you just become one forever.

Drawbacks are a little difficult to deal with. Jackel and I Know What I'm Doing are fine as I already have a mad laugh and don't like asking for help. Coyote Collar basically requires me to blend in and for nobody to figure out where I'm from, not sure how they could anyway but then this may be a sort of thing that I don't appreciate the danger due to not knowing the setting. Still I've got psychic blocking out the arse so they won't get it that way if that had been a possibility.
>>
>>46254386
So what if they do? It's a post-mending spark without Fiat. All it would let you do is travel between MtG planes, which isn't a big deal for a jumper. Hell, lots of dimensional travelling methods from other jumps would probably let you do that since it would skip the Blind Eternities completely and just drop you in a different plane.
>>
>>46254386
>>46254401
Why? If they steal an Oldwalker Spark, then that's effectively their End Jump.

If they steal a post-mending Spark, it's crappy, as >>46254463 says.

But maybe put in a line that stops you from using your stolen Sparks until post-Chain then, if it's really such a problem.
>>
>>46254567
That is a big deal considering we have other MTG jumps people were planning and it should also prevent you from getting the end reward.
>>
>>46254323
>Just think about a way to keep jumpers from getting a Spark there.

There isn't really any problem offering a neowalker spark - it's basically just an innate planeshift ability with a cooldown, and talent for language acquisition magic.

The mana bonds obviously wouldn't follow you post-jump, so it's not exactly a big deal.

>>46254259

Innistrad would be fine. Holy magic, geist magic, ghoulcallers, skaberen, werewolves, vampires, demons, mad science... yeah, there isn't really anything that would be inappropriate.

While a weak spark isn't a big deal, others will probably want to do the other settings at some point - Merchant is doing Ravnica, for example - so it may be better to put a general ban on planar travel while you're there. Call it a curse or something.
>>
>>46254594
Yeah but that's not really any different from using the MCU jump to get to the comic Marvel verse or vice-versa or Ditto with the DC ones. And the difference between the modified Oldwalker Spark you get as the end reward and a Canon Neowalkers Spark is the difference between a mountain and an anthill.
>>
>>46254594

Planar travel without a spark is canonically possible anyways.
>>
>>46254510
I don't know. Like I said, I'm staying far away from Real Eater, since I know nothing about it.
>>
Will the perk Synchronicity Event from F.E.A.R. enhance psychic powers gain after that jump?
>>
>>46254715
Booster perks like that generally do, yes.

May I just say I really, really don't blame you for that? Medaka Box is basically One Punch Man before OPM was a thing, except instead of parodying with the punchy hot blood aspect of shounen, it parodies the conceptual hax aspect of shounen.

Everything boils down a cheap deconstruction of what it truly means to be the Main Character. I know there's been a lot of debate on whether Medaka's The End can copy powers from other jumps; I'm personally of the opinion it shouldn't do jack shit to other powers being as she couldn't copy Ihiko or Ajimu's full arsenal and they were in-universe characters despite being out of context.
>>
>>46254259
Gonna throw my vote in for Innistrad too. Kinda hoping I could be a Geist there, since I remember those sometimes looking like floaty cloaks in Innistrad. Which is nice.
>>
>>46254652
>>46254323
Upon arrival in the plane you feel an unbearable itching coming from the back of your right hand. Curious you hold it up to the moonlight and find the source of your discomfort, a white stone in the shape of a diamond sinking into your skin. as the top of the stone vanishes into your hand for one singularly uncomfortable moment you feel the sensation spread across your body. A hedron has been bound to your spark it will prevent planeswalking and is protected by jumpchan to prevent cheating. Any other powers remain intact allowing full access.

Is this any good?
>>
>>46255009

Goddamnit Nahiri.

But it sounds fine - last two sentences are a bit awkward, but the meaning is clear.
>>
I still think it's a needless restriction. It's not like you can buy things in the other (theoretical) MtG jumps with the CP from another, so why restrict travel?

>>
>>46255009

They're stones inscribed with runes that shape and control magic around them.

They were used on Zendikar to trap three mythos-tier extradimensional reality-eaters.

>>46255530
>Didn't someone just use this magic to drive everyone in Innistrad insane?

Probably, though sanity was never much more than a hobby for the natives.

It may be that the lithomancy is being used to release the hypothetical supermonster in the silver moon, awaken mighty cthulhu, summon Emrakul, or just cast madness around.

It's still up in the air (though all the clues point to Emrakul).

Another one I don't really know shit about. Starts (as a lot of jumps seem to) with my long suffering right-hand man putting on a video of me explaining the whole jumpchain thing and then going through various tutorials for some of my more important abilities. This system was set up after around the 4th or 5th time I lost my memories as I kept putting it off.

Build is pretty simple. Took all the engineer stuff as that seems to be a big deal in the setting and the capstone indicates you can use Spiral energy in tech and given I pretty much have compartmentalized Spiral energy into a box in my head labeled 'Anime Nonsense' I'm guessing that's a good thing. Imperfect Beings is neat too as I love me some monster making. Understanding software is a bonus and Stylish Mechanic is a neat freebie. Figure being a great scientist will probably help with the making use of my warehouse stuff as well without killing myself accidentally.

Also took the Drop-In capstone. Don't really want a big robot (as I could just learn to make one) and the other capstones are pretty much If It Bleeds and teleportation both of which I already have. Believe In the Me That Believes In You! is a great perk though, well worded, has lots of neat uses and leaning heavily on the inspirational aspect of charisma/social perks makes it very nice even at its cost.

On top of this gave Leeroy an import by way of apology for him having to go through the tedious 'teach the omniversal traveler how to tie his omniversal shoelaces' stage yet again.

Also sunglasses and a cape just because.
>>
>>46255009

Why not just have the benefactor point out that unlocking your spark here would require undoing the mending, which would probably break the multiverse and make everything boring, and so they decided to arrange for it to not activate?
>>
>>46255683
Also should add that I took Get Yer Head on Straight! for Leeroy as having someone who can calm you down is not a bad idea when you have to have your whole millennia spanning life explained to you up to that point.

Not actually sure whether it's legal to give him both that and the free Soldier perk though. Import says you get the free background and a free 100 CP perk but I'm not sure whether you get the free perk from the background on top. It mentions the free items but not the perk explicitly so if anyone's asked before let me know.

So it would seem that once again my trip puts me somewhere I'm unfamiliar with. This time there's this guy and his band of merry men. That's all I got while being part of the Shepherds. The guy's name was Chrom and apparently in ten years he's gonna get killed by this other guy Robin. How this came to light was by Chrom's future daughter, Lucina. She's cute but not my type, so don't pay much attention.

After a year or two with the Shepherds, I leave. I spent rest my trip as a hired sword, going from job to job. While traveling around exploring the world, and setting up shop in various pubs. That's what you do when you're rich like me, spend money on drinking. It was kind of an interesting trip, I got to experience some interesting stuff. I just hope my next trip is more interesting.
