Don't really think 'seemingly stuck in the 80s' is particularly representative of the setting. Mention of aliens is also strange given there's only one or two in a setting full of other nonsense.

Slap some magitec on there and convert the excess heat from firing and kinetic blow back from recoil into energy, then funnel that back into the weapon to charge it's capacitors/enchantment arrays/high-tech scope. I'm not much of a fighting game enthusiast so forgive me if some terms get all fucked up

A well rounded character focusing on messing with the field. Counters that merely make me switch places with the opponent, a quick move that does next to no damage but flips them facing the other way. throws that teleport THEM away. A super that mostly puts them on time dilated slowdown the works.

A clear god dragon of eldritch power being silly and overly enthusiastic. But most importantly friendly. As most of my battle intros start with me waving at the opponent like a friend.

Stage is a rural town with a clear thunder storm going on in the background. Surprisingly normal for a not normal fighter.

So... I want you to imagine this massive dragon that gets mistaken for terrain, encircling an also-massive city with a huge CORE-like tower in the middle. The dragon acts as its guardian, and is constantly sleeping. Little trees and such are growing on the dragon, it moves so rarely. You do not want it to move.

With my amazing SCIENCE! skills, I'll cobble together some sort of technopathic cybernetic link between me and a more down-to-earth robot body, which I'll be using to look through and interact with people. Not quite sure what the robot will look like, yet. But considering my skill at making them, it could be just about anything. Even ridiculously life-like.
Essentially, while the real "me" is that bigass dragon out the window, I won't be using my body for anything but sitting on people who try to hurt my cute subordinates. Five hundred years into the jump, as far as anyone remembers, the dragon is just some kind of ancient guardian and the robot is the actual leader of the civilization.
Realistically this would most likely be unwieldy as shit, but aesthetically I think it's pretty neat.

After that... it's business as usual. Science up the wazoo, probably build an incredible robot army to supplement monsterkind and avoid any dust. I may end up introducing some odd and even magical sciences here and there, while I'm at it. Anime is indeed real. Or it will be.
Oh. And apparently we're a massive economic and cultural hotspot, with a huge allowance for the arts. So that's a thing.

Huge shapes lumber in the distance, perhaps with one of many different kinds of volcanic monsters watching the battle take place from a nearby perch. M's fighting style is fast but it's easier to string different strike combinations rather than spamming the same attack. Defenses are dodge-based rather than block-based.
1) Fires beams of holy light at long range
2) Cybernetic weapons pop out and fire, depending on the opponent's range and position: plasma blades, eye lasers, seeking bullets, gravity beam guns, etc.
3) With an upwards flicking motion, M steals the opponents weapon, or steals one of their combos if they don't have a weapon, rendering it unusable until a cooldown expires.
4) M teleports rapidly several times around the stage, can be strung with dodges or strikes.

I'd say it depends on whether they're altering time (e.g. by looping a local volume of space that you're personally involved with) or traveling through time (e.g. they hop in a TARDIS and go back a year). I wanted an avatar to represent my chain as a continuous followable thing, partly so it would be easier to identify and partly to help solidify the concept in my own mind. I wanted an avatar specifically because I didn't feel I was important enough for a name or trip (and I still don't have a consistent name to this day), and I tend to pair my posts up with pictures because I often feel like they're not interesting enough otherwise. So even if my posts aren't great, at least you get to look at a cute thing.

Konata was easily recognizable, and weirdly apropos for my jumper (then more than now, but it's still somewhat befitting), being a small, cute, flat, impish girl who tends to pawn off work and do whatever she wants, even being an annoyance to her friends, but does actually care about them. She is also intelligent and talented (the real Konata is the star of the school track team, and can figure out most games intuitively), but again, barely uses this prowess to its full potential.
My jumper is kindof ridiculous at this point, but I think that's more a matter of sheer momentum than anything. She's been a jumper for awhile. Jumpers get fairly bullshit. She's still far weaker than she could be, if she really asserted herself.

It also helps that there's, just, like... a massive shitload of Konata images. I think my folder is like two hundred strong, and I only started filling it because of jumpchain.

There is a bit of care for such things, but it's usually involved in CP costs and the relevant power level of the setting. A 200CP perk that protects you against 'all' telepathic attacks in a world with weak psychics is different from a 600CP perk that protects you from 'all' telepathic attacks in a setting with planet wide mind control after all.

This is just one interpretation though, so take it with a grain of salt.

To get around this risk I and some others tend to stack such things just to be sure.

Have you been to the CYOA general? It's basically an imaginary choice game, except a recurring one with a set format and continuity between different adventures-or Jumps, as they're called. Each adventure takes place in a fictional setting-and the reason why Undertale is involved is for the opportunity to adventure there for the entertainment of a mysterious benefactor.

You don't have to start in Pokemon, but it does help to get a better idea of what you're in for.

Basically, Your warframe is a tin can being remotely piloted. You're actually some kid in a stasis pod on the moon, which was hidden away. The Warframe is a way to channel your Void powers you got during the Ten-Zero incident. Ten-Zero. Ten-Oh. Tenno.

Also the Sentients, badass super-adaptive drones who fucked the Orokin over, are coming back.

Updates include whole new Void powers, a 5th power slot, new weapons, a new ship, and a shitton more lore. So yeah.

As for the Orokin Towers, that's basically how a Tenno becomes... well, a Tenno. By being warped by the Void. So really it's saying you can learn how to make Prime parts which is pretty awesome.

The stage is essentially a huge crosswalk/plaza in a city in the grips of civil war. Everything is vaguely anachronistic and it could be place anywhere between 1915 and 2015. There's constant fighting in the background that occasionally spills into the stage, in the form of things like a crashing car providing a new platform/obstacle, or a plane strafing a small area.

I have a few questions about the Soul Calibur jump.

1. Is Youth Eternal just a 'you don't age' perk(which is of questionable usefulness), or does the 'You have discovered secrets that prevent aging altogether.' part mean you know how to make people ageless?

2. Is the core you get with Evil Reborn a weak point as a side effect of being able to survive if it remains intact, or can you survive having it damaged if the thing that does it isn't enough to kill you?

Evil Reborn, pretty sure, is giving you a single weak point. Of very suspect usefulness these days. It can still help you combined with certain perks that prevent such things from being immediately fatal, but be cautious.
