A wizard teleports before you. He says to you, "Anon, I am sorry for bring you your Christmas gift so late, but here you go". He gives you a tiny owlbear, it is the size of a kitten and will not grow any larger. "Merry Christmas, dear anon" the wizard says to you before teleporting away.
What do now?
Presumably, be mauled to death by a small owlbear.
>>44463586
Ask /tg/ to stat him.
>>44463586
Owlbears are supposed to be fucking vicious at any size, a kitten sized one would probably be capable of giving you a fairly serious mauling.
>>44463598
10/10, would be mauled again

Is it docile?

OP here, I is your pet, so you can train it.
>>44463586
But what are the stats?
>>44463680
Doesn't matter, saying it can be trained means that it's untrained. You're getting a mauling.
In the monster manual it mentions training as being possible, but also mentions their nature makes training them highly difficult and that training has a tendency not to stick.
>>44463586
Terrorize people at the dog park with him.
>>44463586
I coo and giggle over it like a little girl, and cuddle it while it tries to hug me to death.
>>44463586
give it up for adoption
my apartment doesn't allow pets and it can't stay my mother's because she's allergic to pretty much every kind of pet.
I would love to keep it, but my apartment doesn't allow pets.
Given that it's probably rather ill-tempered, I'd likely see if I can get a zoo or university to buy it off me for research. A unique critter like that would surely be something scientists would love to study.
Unbelievable. It's [current year] and still no stats. Is this my /tg/?
IS IT?!?
>>44464284
There's stats, we just don't bother posting them because it is really easy to make them yourself. The Monster Manual has a table for changing ability scores when resizing monsters. Use that, and reduce HD to 1, and you have your tiny owlbear.
>>44463586
Train it to fetch me drinks and load my gun.
But not fire it, obviously.

Trade it on online for a breed of Griffon.
Cuddles. Followed by immediate pain.
Worth it.

I give him a kiwi-monster as a returning gift.
Probably stare at it for a while as it stares back, wonder at how it could be so ugly, and take care of it. I would have preferred something softer and cuter, but whatever.
