I'm not going to explain the private life of another poster. But Esh Esh has always been quite open about it, and at least the LARP thread knows a lot about her life. She's a really nice lady whom you might meet at an East Coast postapoc event.

Ru here, EshEsh has had a very busy year getting used to the states and working. She does a lot of LARP and Cosplay gear now too. Check out the Sweet Meat Shield she made for me. Its for a Post Apoc Zombie LARP I play in. I named it Walter.

You are correct.

We used EVA foam with a diamond plate pattern for the original shield here, and for the back of the meat shield.

Its Reanimated Zombie Flesh. Most shields when they are broken with skills like "Break Shield" have to be taken to a crafts person to repair, which depending on the crafts level of the shield could take 10 minutes, could take an hour. The benefit of the meat shield is that I can bring it back to life if its "Broken" or "Destroyed" with a skill from an NPC or player, in as little as 30 seconds to 2 minutes with the first aid skill. I play a Sawbones/Doctor/Assassin at the game who is looking to get the Advanced Profession "Grave Robber" (Think Franken Fran) in time, so a Meat shield fits pretty well for me.

It's Dystopia Rising. EVERYONE is a zombie.
No really, every player is infected with the zombie virus/fungus and has long left humanity behind them.
A zombie shield is about as revolting as a shield made from road kill leather would be today.
It's icky, but you dont kill on sight over it.

Just as an example of how not human everyone is: It happens pretty much every game that someone's arm or leg gets chopped, or bitten clean off. And an experienced healer can just sew it back on and it'll be fine in an hour or so. Without magic. It just grows back together.

Not to mention that almost everyone gets just spit back from the ground a few hours after they die, alive and (mostly) well.

Yep this is pretty much it. Most of my healing I explain just by sewing or holding all the right bits back in the correct places, and stimulating growth with sensual massage if need be.
