For what it's worth, the default ruling regarding similar power sources is that they are the same thing.

Mana is Mana is Prana is Magicka - unless there's some notable fundamental difference in their operation, the assumption is they're cross-compatible. Differences in the end result are because of different theorems of the use of said power.

It's up to you to decide if that means you double your power pool each time, or if it overlaps, or if diminishing returns apply.

So my nasuverse knowledge is lacking but I noticed reality marbles can have some of their effects occur without going full out with "this is my reality". What effects can you achieve on this low power setting, how does it differ? Since if I remember right, Archer's body healed as swords
>>
>>44303316
Tranq gun. I figure out how to make ammo for it pretty early, and then just spend future jumps injecting chemicals into strangers I don't like. Like people who shoot me. They're jerks.
>>
>>44303563
Reality Marbles can be internal in that they only change reality for you, not anyone else. With the right amount of power these can be permanent, and are in their own way just a strong as external ones.
>>
>>44303592
But from what I read up, Archer and Shirou had it be both internal and external... It can be done that way?
>>
>>44303563
Well, without manifesting the marble-y'know how Shirou was really, really good at projecting and reinforcing other noble phantasms? That's kind of a byproduct of his marble, which itself is partially a byproduct of his Origin.

IIRC he even managed Avalon in the Fate route
>>
>>44303644
Yes, that basically just counts as an external though. It's an external one that also effects your body.
>>
How do people think this item from Endless Legend interacts with... well, everything?

>Mithrite Ring: You can not be moved against your will. Nothing will cause your feet to lift off the ground unless you want it to happen. Period.

It's at least good for avoiding recoil, but what happens to the energy that would otherwise launch you? Does it ground itself in you and you suffer more damage?

Is the energy component of incoming attacks that would make you "move" (in a mildly abstract way) simply negated, so that you take normal damage from a blow but are not launched?

The latter seems most reasonable, if still a tad vague, but I'm wondering if anyone has any other ideas.

Odd. I remember Val telling me that Prana was different from other forms of Mana so it wasn't easily combined, if possible to combine at all... mostly why I had to go through a LOT of hoops just to make a Well of Eternity that supplies Prana. I might be misremembering, though.

>>44303260
For every task, there is a tool. My primary weapon though is... well, the Bow. Since it can transform into a sword or the Ruyi Jingu Bang on a whim. Perfect for whether I need sharp things or if I need to go nonlethal (which is quite a lot).
>>
>>44303827
I'd assume the latter. Ultimately all the Endless Legend stuff is smaller-than-nanomachines so advanced they make most Worm tech look like steam power so-theoretically enough biggatons or whatever could break through the ring's protection.
>>
>>44303663
So isn't it basically two effects of the reality marble, or just very loose interpretation of its effects?
>>
>>44303827
I assume it works like that one Sonic perk. Basically the energy will rip you to shreds.
>>
>>44303889
Loose interpretation. Reality Marbles don't have to be super specific in what they do.
>>
>>44303875
Prana is different in the sense that it's a combination of internal magical energy (Mana), and external energy (Od). However, you can use either exclusively, and everything will work a-OK. In fact, using pure mana to do something actually results in more powerful effects than with Prana.
>>

antispiralhuman.jpg
48KB, 383x420px
>>44303875
I think it was because Prana is generated from Mana and Od basically processed through magic circuits, which I basically understood as being like Naruto chakra coils except sucking in your own life energy and the life energy of the environment to create prana-which is what you do magic with.

So basically, because modern magecraft is actually sourced from life energy. As opposed to HSDW, Runes, Notarikon etc where the answer to how the fuck the symbols or whatever is ordering the ambient magic around to do stuff with is literally "it's a mystery"
>>
>>44303948
Man Runes are pretty junk compared to HSDW, for an ancient magic system.
>>
>>44303968
Runes are great, but HSDW is some of the most broken magic in the Nasuverse. Git good enough in Runes and you'll make Prisma Illya Bazett look like a fucking loser in comparison.
>>
>>44303875
>Odd. I remember Val telling me that Prana was different from other forms of Mana so it wasn't easily combined, if possible to combine at all... mostly why I had to go through a LOT of hoops just to make a Well of Eternity that supplies Prana. I might be misremembering, though.

They may have made a specific ruling to that effect, a cursory search of archives didn't show anything.

Did they give any reason why it was especially distinct? I'm not an expert on the obscurities of the Nasuverse, but the descriptions for Nasuverse Mana and Od are basically identical to a hundred other settings.
>>
>>44303985
Runes aren't great, anon. There's this thing called comparisons, Runes are of a type of magic comparable to HSDW. Both ancient magic systems. Runes should only be compared to other ones, and the other ones we do know of? All shit on Runes. Hard.
>>
>>44303938
>>44303948
Eh. I opted to make a Prana option just to play it safe. I mean yes I already have HSDW and Magic EX (I feel like one of the few people who DIDN'T take Item Creation EX), but it just felt better to jury-rig something up. Of course this meant the Garden has plant-based Life Fibers running through it, so your call on whether that was a smart move or not. When in doubt, just go the extra mile and make sure, you know?
>>
>>44304023
I didn't take EX Item Creation either. I'm not an artifact person, and I can create better shit elsewhere. I didn't go Caster either so it'd be prohibitive.
>>
>>44303999
Mana circuits are soul based and the physical ones are manifestations of the soul. Which is probably why it doesn't work well with others is the ruling.

>>44303968
I dunno. I think it might just be a matter of who's representing the magic system to an extent. See-the primary HSDW exponent is a witch from the Age of the Gods, right? So she's an expert magic practitioner from an age where magic was fookin' bonkers compared to the lousy old modern day, so she knows how best to take advantage of its' nuances apart from the whole just better than modern magic thing.

Whereas I believe the main Runes practitioners are Bazett, who's a modern magus, and Cu, who's a Lancer. Because of their occupations/what class they were summoned as, their applications of it tend towards enhancing their combat prowess instead of going more in-depth for exploiting the magic system.

I think it's just a Nasu thing that older magic systems tend to be more powerful than the new ones-especially the kind entrenched as part of Servants' legends, and that we just haven't seen Runes used to its' full potentia by a focused practitioner.

Apparently Scathatch's in F/GO but I'm pretty sure she's not available as a Caster there.

There's ALWAYS a Death Star.

Even if I have to build it myself, there WILL be a Death Star and I WILL steal the kill from whoever the MC is.
>>
So my Reality Marble, being empowered by various realities I travelled and borrowing abilities of those I befriended, as almost Soul Unison + Weapon Copy variable system + Dark binding almost but not quite.

A realm of forever changing landscapes, shifting, showing each world I travelled. Chains seen in sky and distance, some connected to me, some binding opponent or objects to limit Insta kills (death note) yet many more seemingly broken or just invisible till light hits them just so. A test of determination of people in it.

I am the purpose of my journey
My soul as my body, forever enduring
I have travelled across the worlds
Unaware of when shall it all end, my will broken, yet rebuilt through others.
Bound by these chains, but connected through them, my existence enriched.
My determination unmeasured, to follow my links back to their source.
My whole life is endless Jumper's Chains.

Of course with them being soul-based and Metaphysical Biology from Evangelion covering such soul anatomy... well. Who knows.

Actually, we didn't either! EX ranked Anti-Planet was more our speed.

Given what Zelretch did with that jeweled sword of his it does seem that hard work with what you have at hand seems a more worthy investment than mucking around with ancient legends if you're purely interested in raw power output.

We did give Elodie Item Creation A+++ because of all the high quality potions, constructs, mystic artifacts etc she could then make which seemed useful since Fate was a fairly early jump. And of course, for the novelty of curios everyone not born in the Age of the Gods had forgotten how to make.

...

You could always just use them to handle spells relating to your own body like Reinforcement, healing or the like, and have HSDW handle more complex rituals, evocations, abjurations etc. Circuits might be weaker overall but since they're entrenched inside your metaphysical biology they'd probably be easier to synchronise with other forms of magic/enchantment involving the induction of life energy in some manner.

Not a lot. Noble Phantasm are just the legend version of something that person had in life, most of the time. Sometimes the legend invents something. Well KotOR was an early import for some of my companions so was spent mostly showing them the ropes.

Clone Wars was earlier and I tipped off Yoda about this and that (that obviously evil guy is evil and you're all living on an ancient Sith burial ground), got attacked quite a lot due to drawbacks and cloned Padme a lot as someone had that idea in thread and she really is one of the more funny people to clone. I figured I'd reverse Spirited Away it where if Anakin can figure out which one's the real Padme I won't turn him into a pig (they're all clones).

If he guesses that they're all clones he really is less stupid than the writing made him out to be in the prequels. I'd then set him up on Padme Island in a 'you want cigarettes? well we'll see how much you like them when you smoke a whole crate' sort of move.

Also known as "Jibril's Intergalactic Wild Ride". This was immediately after NGNL, and with a galaxy full of war and with the sort of libraries a civilization that old and large would have, she went just a little crazy. She ended up dragging us all over the galaxy fighting, looting, and generally getting us into trouble. I managed to keep her violence (mostly) directed at acceptable targets at least(she all but exterminated the Sith on her own, among other things).

Honestly? My recommendation is 'do it anyway'.

There's so many fucking jumps out there that any project could potentially diverge from one another simply because people will have different uses and purposes for them. Sure something could START the same, but it can very easily change into something else. Even then... this is supposed to be fun. If you think being some kind of water person could be amazing, then I wholly encourage you to be the water person you want to be. You want to be air? There's a few 'tech to magic' perks and even a 'tech to biology' perk out there, or 'magic to tech' perk. You don't even need Crimson Saint, it's OUT there. Just need to do a look-around.

Don't let the whole 'Keeping up with the Joneses' gig take over. Follow your heart. Be the snowflake you want to be and enjoy yourself.
>>
>>44305349
All races in NGNL were created as weapons. Doesn't mean they aren't people.

>>44305365
>in the thick of things and in the story is how things get real definition.
This.

Cool combos and neat inventions are one way to go, and while they can certainly help or even drive narrative, they don't have to. Plenty of protagonists use generic X's, weapons, vehicles, whatever. What's interesting is their story and their journey.

In order to encourage anons to make their own neat little combos, I'll post my silly slicey dicey combo.

Get the capstone from Sword and Sorcery that lets you attack five times where someone would attack once, then Tsubame Gaeshi from Wuxia so you attack four times in each slash, then Valanway from Castlevania which lets you slash four times for each one.

End result: in the time it takes for someone to finish a slash you would have slashed them 80 times. Add in Blade Mode from MGR and well... No one will ever want to get in melee range of you again.

If you've played Transistor, then-it's quite similar to the Process.

If you haven't-essentially it alters our Sorcery Trait such that Nasu-style thaumaturgy of any sort is reinforced with a sort of metaphysical rebar. Divine Spirit thaumaturgy (like Exaliblasts) actualised through artificial means-or perhaps a new form of True Magic embodying technological stasis. While this has any number of devastating applications, the most notable one is the corruption it brings to all aspects of a planet, crystallising it into biomechanical minions and spawning artificial circuit-like leylines to bring into being ever-expanding Territories, overwriting the planet into becoming a technosorcerous archive.

>>44305168
Are you sure? Let's see-Codex Alera, Dresden Files and Sword & Sorcery have perks that let you commune with spirits-presumably including wind ones.

Apart from Marvel's ever-versatile Kinesis, Worm offers a pretty substantial aerokinesis power. Now, couple that with the weather manipulation perk from City of Heroes and now you're cooking with...tornados?

Airbending springs to mind, naturally-but consider Temple of Thought and Dual Art allow for the hybridisation of spiritualism and magic. With that in mind, like many elemental manipulation techniques some general magic boosters would come in handy.

R-Type and LoT's A Grand Day Out boast weapons system that actually manipulate weather for interstellar combat. Consider a high-end nanoswarm for reinforcing your winds; Endless Legend springs to mind, for one. Finally, Sufficiently Analysed Magic from FF8 for turbing your wind turbines into wands.

I don't want to get too in-depth on how these could work together to avoid spoiling your fun, but you might well develop something substantial with these

It IS a damned potent combo. My servant build was as follows:

-STR: E (1550SP) -Don't really need more.
-END: E (1550SP) -I really don't, I just need to get some distance.
-AGI: B (1500SP) -But a bit of extra speed wouldn't hurt.
-MAN: EX (1325SP) -And I will take ALL the prana I could ever want.
-LUK: B (1325SP) -A bit of extra luck doesn't hurt anyone.

-Item Creation (A+++) (1075SP) (Class Discount) -Remember the Forge? I'm gonna do great things here.
-Territory Creation (A+++) (825SP) (Class Discount) -Oh. Oh dear. I could improve my workshop with this. Or use this on the Garden.
-High-Speed Divine Words (A+++) (550SP) (Personal Skill Discount) -Just call me Medea 2.0, for I will be CHAINING this shit.
-Natural Body (A+++) (150SP) (Free C-Rank Personal Skill) -I have officially joined the Aztec Gods of Fitness.
-Magic Resistance A (-100SP) -And suddenly I can tank a whole bunch of shit as a result. MAGIC IS MINE.

Admittedly I could have had a lot more streamlining/minmaxing in regards to magic... buuuuuuut dat Natural Body and Territory Creation. Territory Creation from Fate + 'I Am The Fortress' from Masters of Magic is fucking GODLY for a combination.

High-Speed Divine Words (高速神言, Kōsoku-Shingon?) is the power to activate Thaumaturgy -without the use of Magic Circuits-. The language of the Age of Gods, back when words played a heavy role in spellcasting. As such, it is power long lost by modern magi.

Since we're talking about Servant builds, can I get some opinions on what rank to price a Noble Phantasm as? It's basically a dharmic spoofing attack, generating false metaphysical signals. There are two main things I want to get out of such an effect. The first is to fill in the blanks when someone tries to scan me. I've got a lot of perks that render me immune to precognition or scrying or whatever, and being a blank spot would make me conspicuous. This way I could give any observers a false narrative to look at to satisfy their curiosity.

The second effect I want is to be able to falsify authorization to use effects based on metaphysical traits. So if I wanted to walk through a door that only the sorcerer-priests of Mu could safely pass through, or whatever, I could do so without being zapped. I figure to make it fair it wouldn't be able to falsify any truly unique metaphysical traits, so I couldn't use something that could only be wielded by a Chosen One because there's only one of them. It would let me fake having a role, not an identity.

So what would something like that rank? It's not an overwhelmingly powerful ability, but it gives a decent advantage in a lot of scenarios. So B+ Rank, maybe?

NP #1: Could be an Anti-Unit or Anti-Unit (Self). Depending on how sneaky you want your "false narrative" to be, it could be anywhere from C to A. Tentatively learning towards B since it's hella useful but in a limited niche, kind of like Rule Breaker (which is rated at C and is ridiculously versatile but only really interacts with thaumaturgy). Maybe slap on some +s if you want to be extra sneaky.

For NP #2: B+ sounds about right, yes.

>air-based mega-combo is basically impossible

I'd beg to differ- my primary element is Wind!

One of the best basis for a Wind based mega-combo starts in Legends of Spyro: take Wind as your element and be sure to pick up the perk that gives you instinctual skill with it. Your power with it will grow with time, so take it as early as you can. Next, hit up AtlA and become an Air Bender; make sure to get all the upgrades you can for your bending too. From there, go straight to Korra and double up on all those perks.

With just those powers you can become a veritable tornado with ease.

For further boosts, head to Age of Ice and pick up the corresponding Mana Node, and in Fairy Tail be sure to become some sort of Wind based Slayer Mage. Heading to Naruto and getting Wind based Chakra will help too. Slayers, Fire Emblem, and several other jumps have wind based magic, and in Codex Alera be sure to pick up some Wind Furies.

Guided by the Wind from Soul Calibur lets you sense things through the wind, and you can pick up a Wind Dijin in Magi. Dust, Vigors, and Plasmids will also give you a boost.

Lastly, Teen Titans and Marvel both have Areokinesis as possible buys.

All together, this will make you a human sized avatar of the wind.
>>
>>44306697
So you think I should buy the effects as two separate NPs instead of one "false dharma" NP that does both? Which is more SP-efficient?
>>
>>44306421
The magic cores at least are still useful since they let you do more with your HSDW.
>>
>>44306727
Captain Planet has some perks that will help with cleansing the air, allow you to literally become wind, and summon wind elementals.

...a thought on the internal adaptor. You probably know about Universal Adaptor, but note Aurorium from RWBY allows Aura at least to be conducted well, and you may also be interested in Suspendium from Tower of God since all their weapons involve running life force through to "ignite".

With the biotech perks from GI Joe and Miniaturisation & Efficiency, you might well be able to work something out. Did you take the cybernetics perk in Alpha Centauri?

...actually, the nuclear reactor in your chest from Killer Instinct might be good to reverse engineer as well for improving how the energy enhances you, if you have it.

>>44306747
Oh sorry, thought you meant them as two separate NPs instead of one.

Uh. Now, this is harder to quantify; Nasu is inconsistent as hell but if you look at lower rank NPs, they tend to do either do one thing really well or do several things that don't stack up so well in a direct confrontation. But I've just remembered NPs limited to your body can get...uh...ridiculously beneficial all round (see: God Hand) at relatively low ranks, so anywhere between B to A+ would suit yours pretty well, especially since it's focused on conceptual stealth rather than a package of varied defences.

The effects do seem similar enough they could constitue one NP. And yes, that seems more SP-efficient.
>>
>>44306890
Cool. I'll build it as an A Rank Noble Phantasm, then, because that's ironically cheaper than a B+. Thanks, Anti-Spiral.
>>
So, can you make items you already have into Noble Phantasms, or are you limited to only getting new stuff?
>>
>>44306928
B+ is higher rank than A anon. Though NP don't follow the same equivalence of the other stats they are still on a similar system. E is 10, to D being 20, C 30, B 40, and A 50. A plus though doubles the letter's rank so that while an E+ is 20 effectively equal to D, D+ is 40 equal to B. And B+ is 80, well above A.

Not that a B+ NP is necessarily 1.6 times stronger than an A, it's stat still implies it's stronger than A.
>>
>>44307095
That is a weird way of ranking things. A should be higher than B+, what's even the point of having letter grades if you're going to do things like that? Weird. Okay, B+ rank, then.
>>
>>44306868
You can port CP into SP.
>>
>>44307142
Nasu doesn't think things through much.

Although, it does make sense sometimes. The +/- is supposed to denote that in specific circumstances the effect becomes stronger.

But I think that might only apply to Parameters in which case my point is moot.
>>
>>44306148
Ice sculpting? There's a magic for that in Fairy Tail. And predictive pools? Never liked precog. It's like teleportation in that it's something I don't favor as a concept.

>>44306313
It's less about can, and more about have they. It seems like all combos with the things I'm interested in have been done.
>>
>>44306890
Eeeeh. I'd probably just stick with Aurorium and then use various perks to augment/improve the metal in question for the uses. Suspendium seems like a really risky maneuver.

I grabbed the biotech perk, Mini/Eff and the cybernetics perk, yeah. But I usually prefer to deal with effects and items which are... stable, shall we say? Stability is really nice, and the less 'make something up' I can do the better. I didn't grab the KI reactor either, wasn't needed. Plus I was being drained of CP as is.
>>
>>44306342
My point is just that it's not fun thinking up combos someone has already done. It's not about being as good or whatever.
>>
>>44307142
Other than the A+ things typically a + in type moon stuff is a situational effect that doubles something. So if you have A++ agility it usually means you have speed equal to 150 times peak human, but B+ agility would usually be 40 times, but twice as fast in a race or something. When it comes to the servant supplement though it's more of a matter of the + is kind of unevenly priced, as you don't have different prices for situational or always active. I have not once seen anyone treat a + as situational due to the pricing mechanic.
>>

No, a Jumper has to pay for Independent Action given what it entails.

I don't think he realizes True Archer's power levels, when True Archer no sells anything that isn't a True Servant.

But it's just a "expand a seal to give in order" thing not a "you are a hypnotized slave" thing right?
>>
>>44307916
Depends on the breadth of the order. If they tell you to follow every wish they have it'll be a minor compulsion to do so that's fairly easy to resist ala Rin/EMIYA. If they tell you to kill yourself, you're dead like Kayneth orderer Diarmuid to die.

I mean passively, like it Wouldn't affect me Day to day but When it's used I Have to go along with it.

What makes one a True Servant? Who is he?
>>
>>44308070
True Servants and High Servants are special classifications for Servants that can't be defined as a traditional heroic spirits. High Servants are hybrids of gods (Greek and other pantheons), True Servants are apparently from an entirely different time given the lines in Strange Fake.

The True Servants identities are still unknown since strange fake is still going on, but True Archer no sells Gilgamesh to the point that without Ea, he doesn't stand a chance at even running away. In the end True Rider has to save Gilgamesh from being wiped out, since Gate of Babylon is completely negated by an arrow or something.

Basically the True Servant series were all designed to shit on the idea that Gilgamesh is top tier by adding in a completely new tier. They're above Apocrypha Karna power wise, so Gilgamesh falls into low mid tier at best.
>>
>>44308140

SHIN... GIRUGAMESH
>>
>>44308183
>>44308167

To be fair Gilgamesh only existed himself to be a power cap. He barely had any likeable character development, no major role except to be a roadblock, and people don't really look at him, but more at his Gate of Babylon. strangefake made that very apparent when people got angry that Gilgamesh wasn't "the best" anymore. Oddly enough this kind of "power reduction" to Gilgamesh actually gives his character more opportunities for development.

People won't be happy when they realize that Gilgamesh and his gate are pretty mediocre in Grand Order's universe as well.

As far as True Servants go, it's basically as close as we've gotten so far to ORT vs Gilgamesh.

>>
>>44308346
Not human. strangefake explicitly mentions that not even Gilgamesh can recognize the Gods that these True Servants are based off of. Most speculation has to do with Christian creation mythology (under the presumption that YHVH exists and created the world before years later we hit Babylon and such - the timeline doesn't really fit if you try to align it to mythology as we know it) - like Adam, Job, Jacob, etc.

They could also be Divine Spirit tier, like 9 orders of Seraphim or so forth (Michael, Metatron, I'unno) , but we know that at least some of the True Servants know each other and they aren't on friendly terms.

You need a limit on the level of power you can borrow and the number of abilities you can use at once. The binding of instant kills doesn't really make any sense either.

Except that's evidently not true. Strangefake isn't even finished, so we have no clue how the True Grail War will end versus the strangefake war. The whole "using Gilgamesh as a gauge" mentality works for Fate/Stay's verse, and strictly only that. Outside of Stay's verse, Gilgamesh isn't a suitable gauge at all. He's simply not at the same caliber. Strangefake's war is waged on information and deception, rather than just sheer power.

If Grand Order ever gets turned into a jump, you should keep that in mind, since Extra and strangefake are in Grand Order, and Nasu's direction has largely been to tone down Gilgamesh's "prominence" in favor of other servants. He's just another normal servant, not some sort of special tier bar to gauge yourself on.

Yeah, the warriors aren't immortal, that's just the name. It says so in the description. The bone Golem is genuinely indestructible and resurrects itself if it gets destroyed. It's like the terminator except fifty feet tall and it gets more powerful by eating the bones of its enemies.

It isn't indestructible, it doesn't say anything like that. It's a human sized pile of bones. Bones aren't all that hard compared to metal. It can be easily destroyed. It revives, but that doesn't mean much. It's one golem made of weak material.

Compare that to the soldiers, who revive too, and there's 1000 of them, and they have metal. They're superior in every way except needing to eat.
>>
>>44308551
Hm.

The instant kill binding... Before Nasu, I rolled Gurren Lagann and took that fisticuffs perk...

But most importantly, my jumper, despite everything, is paranoid. He wants to be a hero, a protagonist, a guy who relies on power of friendship to win. In his mind, this doesn't make him straight up immune to Insta kills but makes him resistant, so him continuing past it is due to his determination. Also, because any anime hero being Insta killed by some bullshit is anti climactic.

It is mostly borrowing usually one signature ability. It can't make me much more powerful than when I would completely go full out and if I were to, let's say, befriend Saitama, it won't give me super power boost.

Mostly it is immune to anti climactic bullshit, getting signature stuff, while also powering this stuff and abilities I have to fit my level of power. So weak abilities like Pokemon Aura, if they would be super weak compared to other stuff I have on scale of power, are scaled up...

Unless some jump has a perk that does similar thing?
>>
So where could I get me (or my companions) alter egos and/or berserker modes?
>>
>>44308685
That's also wrong. There are plenty of other servants in strangefake's verse that are explicitly stronger than Gilgamesh, introduced in the "prequel" work. Strangefake runs off of a similar verse to Grand Order where Gilgamesh isn't top dog and has never been top dog.

Pale Rider/Karna/Siegfried could probably give several of the True Servants a run for their money. We just won't see it in strangefake. Might see it in Grand Order.

They wear masks and any casualties get replaced by new guys so it looks like they are immortal. Pretty sure the Persians did the same thing IRL.

Maybe? But the thing is, that's an automatic effect described by the perk, not just a trick. So you always have 1000 soldiers that are far stronger than the golem.
>>
>>44308731
>Sclaing abilities
No, that's definitely too much too boost every power you have up to your current level. Even a lesser version of that would fit it's own RM entirely.

>Borrowing one ability
That's fine. Even a handful of them would be good, up to stuff that equals or is a bit above your own power level too.

Eh, it's a bit much but just being anti instant death is probably workable in that theme. Being immune to all anti climactic things goes too far though.
>>
>>44308820
Why are you being such an annoying pedant? I'm expressing this pretty clearly. Servants from any of the other wars are fucked. There's no hope. They had hope of beating Gilgamesh, but not these True Servant fucks. It's impossible, meaning they'd be irrelevant.

It says that every bit of the golem is carved from elephant bones since they are the only thing big enough. Doesn't sound human sized.
>>
>>44308774
Siegfried, Karna, and Pale are normal servants. They were summoned in Apocrypha and strangefake. If you're going into those wars there's no reason why you can't summon them. Apocrypha basically did the same thing as strangefake where plenty of servants were made explicitly stronger than Gilgamesh due to the circumstance and nature of the Grail War.

Is strangefake potentially a trap setting? Definitely, but as far as I know the jump was made before the novel picked up again.

Again, if you read strangefake they do touch on the fact that the True Servants have potentially a different objective altogether, it's just not revealed yet.

You sound kind of pissed off that Gilgamesh is reduced to everyone else's level.

>>
>>44308710
The bone golem is the strongest non-hero melee/world unit creature in the game. Fucker is swole. Similarly the dwarves have the strongest cavalry in the form of hornguards.

Dwarves in Fall From Heaven are the quality over quantity race - except they're also the industrial race so they also get quantity. They're sorta weak on the hero unit front, they get Barnaxus early on who is a strong hero for that portion of the game and a good chunk of the upgrades you get from leveling it up are automatically applied to every golem you build in the future.

Luchuirp are fucking broken good. You'd think the centaur fuckers would have the best cavalry, fuck no, its the dwarves and their super heavy hornguard.
>>
>>44308930
It doesn't say that. It just says it's made of elephant bones, and we know how hard bones are.

>>44308942
Because the argument is really dumb so far. I just see a lot of appeals to information that's not in the jump and thus does not count.
>>
>>44308415
So the thing that makes this jump's universe so distinct is not available if you went to Those other two jumps...? That kind of stinks
>>
>>44308856
I seem to recall you can get a reality marble in both nasuverse jumps and the second one empowers the first, that about right? Or can it give it more abilities or themes?

As for scaling... Well, how about not to the same level but just boosts it? Think of how Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann has specialties of all pilots scaled to match in the titular mega, like Viral taking the reigns and dual wielding or Yokos sniper rifle.

Although it could instead be scaling up for the signature abilities of the bonded people...

So, for example, if I befriended Mistral in MGR, while these additional arms of hers are fragile or the spear.. They are not THE SAME.
>>
>>44308953
In the game. The game is not the CYOA. None of this is reflected in the jump, not about the golem, not about the hornguards.

Plus the companion really is trash, I guess people agree with me if they haven't brought up objections so far.
>>
>>44308953
Anon. You're talking to a guy who is taking information already told to him, and disregarding it.

You're literally talking to a brick wall.
>>
>>44308983
The problem is that this information is in terms of gameplay bonuses. When you jump there, you're in the actual world. Gameplay bonuses don't mean anything. None of this info in converted into a 'real' form within the CYOA or even described at all, so you can't just accept your +10 mining bonus as an actual thing.
>>
>>44308977
People haven't brought up objections today because you've ran this fucking topic into the ground like it's a face-down, ass-up whore.

At this point people just want you to fucking move on with your life instead of hating a fictional golem.
>>
>>44308977
No, don't assume people agree with you because they aren't saying anything. People don't have to get involved in every single thing going on in thread. If people aren't bringing anything up, its most likely because they don't care about what you are talking about, and aren't paying attention.
>>
>>44308955
>It doesn't say that. It just says it's made of elephant bones, and we know how hard bones are.
We also know that bones don't get up and walk around on their own. You know how they do that? Fucking magic. Is it really that hard to believe they don't have some kind of 'strengthen material' spell component written into the reanimation matrix?

>Because the argument is really dumb so far. I just see a lot of appeals to information that's not in the jump and thus does not count.
Seriously? That's your logic? That the jump doesn't spell everything out perfectly for you?

Are we going to harp on the Mass Effect jump for not detailing the Reaper threat? Or the Sins of a Solar Empire jump for not providing the specs to every single ship in the game?
>>
>>44308972
Well, you can't really work two separate RMs so I've said in the past that they'd just stack like strength perks however you work stacking perks.

Again, boosting every power, item, ability etc you have is way too far. It being the powers of those you borrow is maybe workable, but you'd probably need to limit the number of abilities you have then.

>>44308959
You can be a Servant. You just don't get more SP. The ridiculous amount of SP you can get in a single jump is enough to make you easily outmatch any Servant barring maybe a handful such as Gilgamesh, BB, Saver etc.
>>
>>44309048
>BB
You'd need more SP than both Fate jumps combined to match that bullshit.
>>
>>44308977
The jump is directly based on the game. Do you argue that in a 40k jump nothing should work based on the lore of 40k because its not 100% spelled out for you? Look at how much of the Fate crap has to be questioned out, according to you none of it matters because its not reflected in the jump.

You're super salty bro. Dwarves are master race. Pick Beeri Bawl and cruise to victory. Cuck the Sheaim at every victory critical wonder and deliver vengeance on the Balseraphs with your magic immune nullstone ass wreckers.
>>
>>44309004
It just sucks because he's literally the worst person short of the fire goddess. Like I'm expected to pall up with this guy? And the dwarves get so little else that's unique to them, and what is, well, that's what this argument is about.
>>44309027
I was specifically talking about the people I was arguing with. No need to get so upset, Christ.

>>44309039
You can assume they've used magic to make it walk, you can't just assume they used magic to make the bones harder. That's fanwank and going beyond stated information to add unsupported power. You can't assume you get something that's not there.

>>44309070
See >>44309000 for specifically why I don't think you can take it for granted. Gameplay bonuses are tied to it being a game. When you jump there, you're not in a game. You're in a world.
>>
>>44308912
What? You want more? Dumas' Sublimation used properly could also fight them. He's the Caster class by the way. No Name Assassin can fight them in the traditional Kiritsugu way (yes, the True Servants have masters), same thing with Berserker Assassin. Technically I should only be comparing in the same world, since strangefake and apocrypha run off of the same mechanics.

Most of the servants actually don't give much of a fuck about Gilgamesh, since they all hard counter him. People were pissed at one point because Gilgamesh is explicitly last place in terms of how useless his abilities are in this war.

Heck you could say that the True Servants were made specifically to kill Gilgamesh's advantage, which leaves them open to other options. The only thing that True Archer explicitly no selled was all of Gilgamesh's abilities - he even warns him beforehand, even though he knows that Gilgamesh won't heed him. True Rider doesn't even bother to acknowledge Gilgamesh's presence.
>>
>>44306421
Nah man, nah. Don't feel bad about going the Magic Circuit Route. They give you something that very few jumps give you.

You can get lots of "Boost your magic pool" boosts. Thousand Master, Valka, tons of them. But I can only think of two things that boost your magical bandwidth. Having a lot of magic power at your disposal is one thing, but you've got to be able to tap it. If you're pumping all that mana through a garden hose, it's going to take longer to form spells and feed them.

I figure more Magic Circuits = More Bandwidth. The only other boost to that I can think of is High Bucket Capacity from Slayers. I took the 60/270 magic circuits, magic crest and magic core too. HSDW might be more hax within the nasuverse jumps, but I'll take my bandwidth boost.

Not to mention, my Caster Rasputin's got HSDW A+, so it's not as if the option is totally unavailable to us
>>
>>44309105
>You can't assume you get something that's not there.

it costs like 600 cp, you can infer from that it's worth something.
>>
>>44309106
I don't get your argument. That they can no-sell Gilgamesh implies they're stronger than him, not that their power can explicitly only effect him. It's logical to assume they'd destroy other servants too.

I rolled Apocrypha so I barely missed getting destroyed here. It's not contemporary with this nonsense is it? Not going on within the same ten years? Because otherwise I'm probably dead. I can stop Vlad before he goes full Dracula, I can take advantage of Gil, but going off of the power I get through the jump, these True Servant people would absolutely destroy me like they would any other normal servant.
>>
>>44309105
Ok so in the world of a jump, every weapon in every video game world is shit. All the opponents are shit because they're real now and have to constrain to your very narrow idea of how things should be than how they're represented.

Age of Ice is a cake walk now, no one is good at anything, the dragon is piss weak because magic isn't real and being that huge it'll collapse on itself immediately. No threat at all.

Can you? I'm being honest here, I do not understand your reasoning.

But stats and bonuses exist to reflect some kind of ability.
>>
>>44309048
Ah, it is not meant to be all their abilities at once. It is supposed to be me switching between them. Maybe I can't use the same ability twice during one manifestation of reality marble?

A different idea would be temporarily summoning those I befriended for an action or two before combining like the second TTGL movie, but wasn't sure whether to put it in or not... I guess this idea can be dropped, let's go back to borrowing... Hm.

Oh no, it wasn't meant to scale items or every single ability. It was supposed to affect perk stuff or personality learned things that were not incorporated or boosted by other perks, as they would together count as one ability.
>>
>>44309254

>>44309254
Can you?

The jump is representative of the world. That world is represented in the game. Ergo, we can take what the game represents as what occurs in the fucking world.
>>
>>44309279
My reasoning is that you simply can't construe a gameplay bonus, which is way too abstract, as an actual aspect of something's power and ability. I mean, rock paper scissors. Paper beats rock because the game says so. But in real life? That rock can be used to tear the paper which can't really hurt anything. It's not so drastic as that, but you can't take something for granted like that when it's so abstract.
>>
>>44309312
Again, boosting even just your perks is obscenely powerful. I'd recommend dropping that part and just focusing on the borrowing of power and the side effect of anti instant death. Those two fit the theme well and are a lot easier to make balanced.

No, True Archer explicitly refer to Gilgamesh's abilities and tells him that there's no point in using the Gate of Babylon because it won't have any effect. He asks Gilgamesh to pull out Ea so at least it won't be too boring. That's before Rider kicks Archer into the ground over some sort of grudge. Outside of fighting Gilgamesh the True Servants don't really interfere with the strangefake war at all (so far). The other Servants on the other hand stand some sort of chance against the True Series, just that there's no existing conflict at the moment anyways.

True Assassin is a complete unknown in every respect, to the point that Gilgamesh won't even be able to see him if Gilgamesh was standing in front of him. His own master can't discern anything about him either, so I guess it's "fair" in some twisted OP sense.

Apocrypha is slightly worse than strangefake, given that you're going up against a pair of Ruler classes, Karna who can't die, Siegfreid who can't die, and summons like Gilgamesh and such have been explicitly mentioned to be "inaccessible" due to their summoning catalysts being lost in the period of the minor/incomplete grail wars. Vlad barely survives going up against Karna, and ironically the Yggmillenia aren't the bad guys. Big bad in Apocrypha is Shirou, whose intentions aren't "bad", but certainly his means aren't the best.

Translations for that aren't finished yet either...so, yeah, good luck.
>>
>>44309362
+10 damage is a gameplay bonus and way too abstract. Every gun in fallout is equal to each other.

Leveling your skills is a gameplay bonus, which is too abstract. It doesn't work like that in the real world.

DPS isn't real, all destruction spells in Skyrim are the same. All hits in a fighting game are equal.
>>
>>44309362
Like, 90% of JC is abstract as fuck. If you're looking for things to make 100% sense and apply to normal rules, you're in the wrong place.

>>
>>44309249
Karna isn't in strange/fake (yet). He was in apocrypha, which is a questionable prequel to strangefake. We know that the yggmillenia family loses control of the True Grail to Shirou, and later on the Red Masters show up in strange fake again, we just dunno whether Shirou decides to peacefully back out at the end of apocrypha or not.

Or maybe Jeanne found a loophole to abuse. Either way, with Karna around and his True Invincibility, it's pretty tough to see Yggmillenia making a comeback. Having Ruler as a master...if Grand Order taught us anything, it's that Rulers are too fucking good as masters.

>>44309383
Hm, alright. A lesser version of this would be being able to borrow power from just one person or such, while in fully manifested marble it would allow signature stuff, anti instant death and boosted versions of said signature stuff, not my own perks. It is completely power of Friendship.

Potentially, depending on number if abilities, it could allow me to go for to toe with Gilgamesh. Especially since I could arguably survive his attacks. Still get fucked up but not death through Gae Bolgs attack of "you being hit happened first, the spear just moved to match that outcome".

This is essentially, well, Archer's Unlimited Blade Works except with friends and instead of regeneration it's resistance. Hm... Yeah, makes sense.

>>44309484

>>
>>44309452
My point is that you can't assume you get these when the jump doesn't say so, though. It's too abstract to assume it's how it really works, and it doesn't say you get them, so why assume you have that power?
>>
>>44309362
Okay. Good reasoning, but that's not how the jump you are referring to works. The stats in that game are abstract of what they would be in that world. In this case, maybe you're partially right. Maybe the bone golem isn't as strong as the immortals. However, the bone golem doesn't need pay. It doesn't need to eat. It doesn't need to sleep. And it's fucking terrifying to fight against, as it's a giant man made of bones charging across the battlefield to put you on his wild ride. The Immortals are just dudes. Highly trained dudes, but just dudes. Dudes that need all the things a bone golem would scoff at, if it could scoff.

And before you start telling me that you can outfit or retrain the immortals into better immortals, let me say that you can do the same fucking thing with the golem. Give it wings. Give it electrical charge. Hell, maybe melt down some metal and coat it in a thin film of mithril. You get what I'm saying here?
>>
>>44309429
>The other Servants on the other hand stand some sort of chance against the True Series, just that there's no existing conflict at the moment anyways.
Again, how do you figure? It sounds far more like they're so good they can negate Gilgamesh. The idea of only having that power against Gilgamesh is absurd.
>>
>>44309531
You're arguing something antithetical to the whole chain of jumps.
>>
>>44309429
Also how you didn't comment on this chronologically.
>>
>>44309531
Because jumps are usually created by one guy who simply will not think of everything. If you just went off of what is strictly stated in a jump, nothing would work like you expect it too. Think about those descriptions of a perk/power that go "hehehe like a certain x". Well, they didn't straight up say "okay it works just like this guy" so you don't get ANY power. You have to read between the lines, is my point.
>>
>>44309513
You need to decide on the number of abilities first and remember that it should only boost to match your own power, rather then far above it.

Also, anti instant death shouldn't do anything against Gae Bolg, as it's not an instant death attack, just one that's (Sort of) certain to hit. If you can survive being stabbed in the heart with a spear that leaves a big semi-permanent wound you can survive Gae Bolg.

>>44309582

The other Servants' powers are designed around erasing a Servants' source of power, either their myth in the case of Caster, or their Master, in the case of Berserker and Assassin, or...just everything else, in Rider's case with his conceptual death. Enkidu's probably at the same tier as Gilgamesh unfortunately since the two of them are basically plotbound to one another, and Saber-kun is still an unknown, but with all Arthur Sabers, there's always the chance of Rhongomyniad showing up since this is a Fake Grail War...and Rhongomyniad is basically the antithesis to Gilgamesh and the War.

Gilgamesh, true to Gilgamesh fashion, never bothers to even consider these routes in the fight against True Archer. True Archer's words basically imply the ending to ufotable's UBW, where Shirou tells Gilgamesh about Gil's fatal flaw. Every Servant in this war can exploit this flaw. It's even worse in apocrypha, where Karna, Vlad, and most of the Black Servants can abuse the Yggmillenia loophole to burn Gilgamesh down. Really if the Yggmillenia didn't have Shirou as an enemy and they weren't jobbing it in the beginning, I don't think there'd even be a proper war. They made the mistake of thinking tanking a Ruler would work.
>>
>>44309792
People always get shit for saying they have powers the perk doesn't say they have, which is basically what's being argued about here.
>>
>>44309811
So what you're saying is that Servants without very specific noble phantasms are screwed? That doesn't help most servants or me much anon, since we don't have that.

Still curious about when this takes place, by the way. I want to know if they killed me or not.
>>
>>44309627
Cause no one has a clue. With apocrypha not completely translated yet, and I still can't find all the native Japanese novels to read through, I honestly don't know exactly how it ends, and how long it takes to get to strangefake. The connection we know is that the same Clock Tower Masters from apocrypha are in strangefake, so feasibly they are well within 10 years of one another, but one war is in Romania and the other is in the US.

Seeing that in apocrypha/strangefake's universe, grail wars are a commonly known recipe made thing and Yggmillenia pretty much leaked out the way to start a grail war and even create a makeshift grail, it's not outside of reason that apocrypha and strangefake are within the span of 10 years, but there's nothing explicitly in the novels detailing a time so far.

The time factor is as tenuous as the Lev/Ars Goetia connection between Clock Tower and Chaldea.
>>
>>44309813
But when that power is completely backed up by the source material, that's a very different thing than what you're doing which is assuming that the power the perk gives you is wrong.
>>
>>44309976
I think it's also worth noting that, how are people supposed to know it supposedly does that if they didn't play it?
>>
>>44309891
Pretty much? All of the wars in Apocrypha/strangefake's verse are "specialized" wars. Apocrypha's Romania War was held specifically with Servants that could work well in teams in mind on the Black Side, and Servants that could be used effectively all by one Master on the Red Side. Strangefake's War is held with the premise that every single Servant has very specific powers.

It's one of those settings that are completely fine as long as no wild cards are tossed in, but if you happen to be the wild card that doesn't fit the motif, you're likely to get erased because you don't fit in to the equation. The more into the side works of Fate you go, the more instances you'll find this type of specialization, and the harder things get. It's just a byproduct of authors wanting to make "special" servants in their own eyes.

Grand Order is pretty much the same thing as well, except every single Servant is dumbed down so that nobody has any superiority over anybody.

>>
>>44309976
The differentiation is caused by the source material, regarding what you were talking about. Also, people assume they have abilities they don't explicitly have especially when it comes to perks adding onto one another, and overlapping. For example, everyone takes multiple intelligence perks, so people just assume that they are capable of inventing/fiddling with things. It comes to a point where you HAVE to make shit up sometimes.

No clue how badly this is going to turn out as the rest of the True Servants show up or as the rest of the other Servants besides neutered Gilgamesh start to reveal their actual powers.

Grail wars, even the Apocrypha one, are so bloody common within the apocrypha verse that they were divided into "Incomplete" versus "Complete" categories. The fact that Apocrypha's war was fought between two Rulers and two organizations is probably the only distinguishing quality about it, but considering Ruler Mind Controlled more than half of the people involved?

If Kairi gets Shiroued, there's literally no survivor from the Red side to talk about the war, and Yggmillenia looks like it's going to be wiped out at the current rate from Shirou's line up.

Heck if I were you I'd be more worried about Shirou rewriting you and your servant than nonexistent fame.

And no, it's not going to become a world spanning issue. Everything has been very neatly contained so far. Heck all of the abilities aren't fancy explosions and shit like Gilgamesh and Ea, more mass negation, information control, and silent assassinations. It's like a war of 13 Kiritsugus and a Gilgamesh.

Age of Ice builds by those who don't know the game generally end up pretty lopsided. I feel real bad for anyone who takes the ire of the Mercurians, those guys showing up in the relative early game is 100% GAME OVER material unless you have a lot of jumps under your belt (though really, with how the Jump is set up you should do that anyways since it tells you jack all about how the Age of Ice scenario was won - until the DLC where its implied someone else did the events so you're absolutely shit out of luck taking the jump raw since it refuses to give you anything you need to survive within the world of the jump). Some of their basic units give the damn Bone Golem a run for its money and its the strongest non-hero melee unit in the game. Albeit the strongest of those units don't maintain that strength since they lose strength for every living unit they kill rather than a demon or undead or elemental of some god. Those who choose the Mechanos faction in general however are generally good because its a straight up bullshit race from a mod of the mod.

Shirou is the Ruler class Master of Red. He's simultaneously a Servant and a Master, thanks to having been summoned like a century or so ago. Ruler classes can freely bind themselves with the Servants of another master once they take the rights of that master. In Apocrypha it's implied that the other master should at least be willing, since Shirou has to use his Ruler mind control to rewrite their memories and have them give up their Servants to him.

Shirou's two NPs are: Left Hand - Xanadu Matrix: Left Arm - Foundation of Heaven's Blessing and Right Hand - Evil Eater: Right Arm - Wickedness Predation. The left hand allows him to connect to all Thaumaturgy Foundation , it allows him to effectively use any sort of Magecraft with its Almighty Key. The right hand is part of the same thing, but it has the special abilities of "Future vision" allowing him to strengthen and support him in combat.

His left hand also gives him eternal youth.

Karna also serves Shirou without any hesitation. So yeah. Shirou can either use magic to remove you from the war...or he can use Karna to remove you from the war...or he can abuse his Ruler stuff to remove you from the war. He's very confident that only he needs to be present to win the war, since the Grail belongs to him as a Ruler class to some extent. Gilgamesh, who claims to own the grail in the Stay verse, has no clue what the grail actually does. Shirou can interact and use it once he gets within range. It's pretty nonsensical.
>>
>>44310714
Jotnar are a weird one. They get very, very, very few useful (read giant) units, but those units are damn good, and they have an age mechanic too - the older they get the more powerful they become.
>>
>>44310626
Avenger replaces Berserker, so if you go in as that class he can't be summoned at all.

It's what I'd do if I couldn't just pop in super early and beat the Einzbern into the ground.

Although, if you're not concerned for the wellbeing of that world in itself, you can just let the Einzbern do it anyway. Servant Avenger is not Angra Mainyu. He has E Rank in all Parameters, with no Class/Personal Skills or Noble Phantasms. He's barely any better than a regular person. Just kill him.

...Wait, shit. Is it stated anywhere in the Fate jump what happens if you win post-Avenger, considering the whole "All the World's Evil chilling out in the Holy Grail" thing.

>>44310755

>>
So, apparently Hercules is qualified to be a Lancer-class Servant, but does he even have a lance or spear that he uses in myth? Does he have Zeus' lightning bolt or something?
>>
>>44310714
Game wise? Fuck no. They're from the same mod of a mod called Fall Further. They have a very crippling feature to their civ where they only work the eight surrounding tiles of their cities rather than the fat cross which is 20 workable tiles other civs get. Further their military units are promoted from worker units, which stalls city growth and they benefit from not being promoted to military units after being built but rather hang around as weak workers.

So they're economically and militarily weak as a faction. They're a gimmick race for the experienced player looking for a challenge. Expect to have to go really wide really fast and think about your military way way waaaaaay in advance.
>>
>>44310805

His precog doesn't affect you iirc, it affects him, kinda like Simurgh's precog from Worm. Maybe you won't show up? I dunno. It's not like Shirou can die anyways, I dunno what exactly his precog would do.

The main problem with Shirou-kun is that we don't know if he manages to pull off the Stairway to Heaven scenario and actually win at the end of apocrypha. Which is possible.

Besides that and the standard superhuman stuff that any servant could do, nothing really stands out about Shirou in his hybrid form...except for maybe his ability to melt down spiritual creatures for shits and giggles.

Oh. Then just do the early apocrypha exploit and you have a flawless victory...for an unknown period of time. The apocrypha war wouldn't have even started if Yggmillenia hadn't gotten overconfident and only sent Vlad to massacre Clock Tower's agents. Without the agent to trip off the reserve system, Black wins by default. No clue how Darnic is going to respond after that though, but Shirou will still remain a threat, since he's so ingrained into Clock Tower by the time of the war.

>>44310909
Does he? I don't remember the novel mentioning him with a sword, though I guess it might make sense given that Tokisada did probably wield one.

To clarify for anyone else since we've been throwing Shirou around, this is Amakusa Shirou Tokisada, the revolutionary, aka the most successful Kiritsugu. He's basically the man that EMIYA and Kiritsugu wanted to be - and also much more likely to succeed by token of being Ruler.

The entire war only starts because a Magus survived Vlad's massacre and activated a backup system on the Grail. If said magus didn't survive, no backup system, Yggmillenia holds the war in a forever hiatus and goes ahead with their own plans. Shirou apparently can't do shit about it.

For the sake of the plot, Vlad slips up. Ironically, if there was another Servant there...well even Darnic admits that it was a miss on his behalf. He didn't realize his opponent was Ruler.

Well, it's either that, or fighting both Black & Red at once. The Yggmillenia are very clear that if you're not with them, you're very clearly against them, and Shirou will prioritize eliminating anybody that doesn't either back out of the war early or might prove to be a potential threat. With a plan like his, allies just get in the way, as Kairi finds out. You're either a Servant or you're out. At least he's nice enough to offer Black the same when he wipes them out.

Heck Kairi might be the only person who's open to allying with anyone at all, and he hates Servants/Magus like Kiritsugu does.

In the games they get summoned in through the use of a world wonder call the Mercurian Gate, in which it cedes the city it was built in to create a new capital for the Mercurian faction who are then extremely high diplomatically favourably allied to the side that summoned them. From there they tend to rapidly expand and assfuck evil.

Archaos is a gimmicky pick - such is the fate of mod of mod of mod of mod races - but generally pretty solid. Annoying bastards in the early game. Spiders are absolute dicks to scouting units.

Not sure about your odds unless you're at True Assassin tiers of Concealment. Both Rulers have Discernment, one of them can directly pinpoint Masters before they even make a formal contract, and both sides have essentially unlimited Prana, with Yggmillenia's homunculus loophole and Shirou being able to hook up to the True Grail.

Probably be careful to wait and see if Apocrypha does turn into Jojo Stone Ocean like some people are predicting.

>>
>>44311648
They do happen.
>>
>>44311599
Do not build it in your capital city where valuable shit is.

But generally its a pretty decent wonder if you're neutral/good. Or evil and want to deny someone else from having it since you do get a ridiculous diplomacy bonus so you can maintain the alliance if you do a modicum of work rather than none at all.

Summoning the Merurians gets you effectively a late game army at war with everyone you're at war with - though you also tend to be dragged into war with literally all the evil in the world.
>>
>>44311654
So do you think E rank will do cause if what I remember of old man Acht the enizbern are assholes
>>
>>44311599
It's not, but like >>44311671 said, don't build it in your capital city. In game building the wonder puts you into a permanent alliance with the Mercurians. One of the only ones to get such an alliance unless if you didn't select the option in a custom game.

In world, it's probably just extremely high diplomatic bonuses. Just know that lore wise, the Mercurians literally defied the prime god/overgod just so they could keep fight demons. They're basically a nation of evil-hating Jibrils.

Shirou's goal ultimately is to use the Grail for its "true purpose" to eradicate the existence of Angra Mainyu in all of reality, and make it so that just like him, humans are absolved of the idea of hatred. He wants to rewrite the world so that the concept of hatred doesn't exist to some extent. Karna confirms that this isn't a lie, but for this to happen, a very dramatic world change has to happen.

His goal is basically to "uplift" humanity to his ideal form. Actually it's kinda similar to tera's goal.

So the answer is yes 125cp to purchase the class thank you
>>
>>44312071
No, you don't. Be thankful you don't because the only way you survive part one is by being an out of context problem.

The only way in setting to defeat the dragon is to recover the shards of the god-killing blade, mount a legendary sapient deer, and then ride across the world to slay the god who is currently avataring the dragon before the dragon destroys your civilization. Even with the god-killing blade anyone dies actually trying to fight the dragon - because while a powerful artifact it isn't god-killing strength unless used against something that signed the Compact which the dragon technically isn't since its just an avatar.

But YOU gotta kill the dragon, something that is impossible in setting unless you're another god.
>>
>>44312071
It's fluff, I think. You don't lose your powers. It's more to convey the idea that you're in the presence of a primordial god/fallen angel of winter and stasis, so presumably you're somewhat perturbed at least.

Unless you're ASA in which case you apparently tried to strike up a rapport with the thing.

To give you an idea, the strongest melee hero unit in the game is specifically for that scenario and he rides on the legendary deer with the uber-sword of godkilling. His statline comes out at about 26 strength by that point in the game.

The dragon is close to 70 strength.

It's implied that the True Servants all have knowledge of the other Servants that the strangefake Grail can bring forth. True Assassin knows about the other True Servants, True Rider knows True Archer, and so forth.

Most people doubt that it's somebody from Gilgamesh's timeline, since most of his lines in the original text seem to refer to some Christian lore, but they've kept his identity concealed for a purpose.

To me, the only thing that they're good for is reminding people that Stay verse is the only universe that should be considered Gilgamesh's back yard. Presume that he's top dog anywhere else, and you're likely to get your ass handed to you on a platter.

Metroid Jump work has resumed after entirely too long.

Have some flavor text.

>You have come.

>We are already gone, but your arrival we foresaw. How could we not witness the ripples and waves that even now we harness and direct to our own ends?

>We could not stop your arrival. We did not even try.

>But we could bend it to our purposes. The universe naturally follows the path of least resistance, and so we took it upon ourselves to build dams and canals, so to speak, in the progression of the universe.

>Our universe is fragile, Outsider. Once we fought proudly, but we began to fade.

>We have subdued the threats we can. Trapped the threats we cannot. Channeled dangers where we had no choice. Hidden tools to be found where they are most needed, when they are most needed. Taught science to one species, kindness to another species, diplomacy to another species, and learned how to hold light in our own mortal hands from another. Created all new children to learn. Created children to destroy.

>We have failed beyond our worst nightmares. We have succeeded beyond our greatest dreams. Sometimes on the same planet. Sometimes with the same action.

>But now we have left, or we are dead.

>And now...

>You have come.

>1000 Chozo Points Acquired!

---

>CORRUPTIONS

>We feel your arrival, Outsider.

>You are like us. Of us. You are from beyond and between and we know you.

>This universe is unprepared for us. Your arrival changes many things. If you only let us in we can reward you.

>You may corrupt the universe as much as you desire. However, in doing so you create a being that desires nothing but the spread of Phazon and your utter annihilation. For each 100 Corruption Points you bargain for, your dark mirror will gain 10% of your total power. It must be defeated before ten years are up, or you will be sent home. Before any of your powers are applied, it was a Metroid.
>>
>>44312717
Sure. You'd be better off destroying the grail at that point unless you want to run the risk of someone else coming along and using the gathered energy that you didn't. Especially if it's corrupted.
>>
>>44312696
Late game units tend to be around 9ish strength, faction uniques and specialty units can go up to about 11-13. Siege units a bit higher.

Wait, I just remember that in Futurama, the professor built a machine that could transfer minds between different bodies. He did this on himself and bender.

You're still going to need to build a living body, however.

Also, that's like, extremely unfair to early-game Jumpers, who have no way of cleansing the Grail, and if they roll 4th or 5th, then they're fucked.

GUNNM has very advanced medical science, Fran would get along famously with Dr Nova (if he wasn't such a horrible monster).

Girl Genius has very, uh, melodramatic medical science.

SCP has several interesting devices that would greatly assist any aspiring doctor.

Ar Tonelico is basically all about giving AI fleshy bodies so they can eat and stuff. And singing - so if you want to hear a lot of Geth singing from the bottom of their new hearts to Quarians about their desire for peace/meatbag murder/bizarre memes, this is an option.

They're fairly locally restricted though, in a galactic sense, as they're basically remote drones.

Not really my problem what perks in Fate can be discarded for perks in other jumps. That's something you need to find out. Especially since you find them so uninteresting.

You can if you want, you just don't get the history of the origin.
>>
>>44313362
After Assassin's attack.
>>
>>44313294
Considering who you're talking to and his given bullshit regarding Fate and his attitude regarding Valeria, he probably finds it very unfair.
>>
>>44313324
>>44313362
You mean, to survive Assassins one-punch.

>>44313249
See, the wishes aren't inherently evil either, its Angra Mainyu making them evil afterwards. Also, implying that she would give you an evil wish.
>>
>>44313324
Oh great your back again.
>>44313362
That basically happened because you and Tamamo's link was severed by Assassin/Ku Fung Killer who's name I forget. It was necessary in order not to die in the game since without a servant you forfeit your match.
>>
>>44313342
If you find it that boring why are you even here?
>>
>>44313324
Wait.

Really?

You're sure she's not just fucking with you?
>>
>>44313398
Doesn't matter what her justification is, she still cheated.
>>44313405
I never left.

And cheating is never justified. Especially not from someone who made such a big deal about you not doing it.

>>44313412
You see them fucking do it.
>>
>>44313391
... wasn't that when assassin severed the contract and left her manales-

>>44313398
>>44313405
Yeah this.
>>
>>44313422
Oh, so she should have just laid down and died, then?
>>
>>44313435
Yes, but how does that excuse cheating on you? Trying to hide it from you? Laughing at your feelings? Or whining about you not cheating on her when she flagrantly does it to you?
>>
>>44313398
Wishes are tainted by Angra Mainyu. She gives you a wish, that's all. It's up to the jumper to fix it if it was corrupted. Simple as that.

I mean, I could always just not give out the nigh omnipotent wish at allbecause it's certainly not canonically anywhere near that powerful.
>>
>>44313451
Well considering I would be sent home if she didn't I would be pretty fucking pissed if she didn't.
>>
>>44313422
It's not really Caster's fault the MC was a scrub with no magic who couldn't fix the problem themselves.
>>
>>44313447
Shouldn't have said she loved you if she was just gonna cuck your ass.

>>44313462
So you want her to cheat on you? And what about the other aspects of her actions?

>>44313466
It's her fault she did what she did. One is always responsible for their own actions.
>>
>>44313478
And this is where I stop arguing with you because you're utterly focused on the cheating aspect and not the context of the situation.
>>
So I tried my hand at calcing F/SN's Saber Artoria's SP cost using the wiki stats.

0475 Saber Class. Str A, End B, Agi B, Man C, Luk D.
0000 Artoria (as Shirou's Servant). Str B, End C, Agi C, Man B, Luk B.
0350 Artoria (as Rin's Servant). Str A, End B, Agi B, Man A, Luk A+, NP A++.
0175 Class Skills. Magic Resistance A, Riding B.
0550 Personal Skills. Charisma B, Instinct A, Mana Burst A.
1050 Noble Phatasms. Avalon Barrier EX (with Shirou), Excalibur Anti-Fortress A++, Invisible Air Anti-Unit C.
-0050 What Spiritual Form?

E = 2200 (with Shirou), 1950 (with Rin). Ouch. Did I miss anything?
>>
>>44313499
The context is right here. >>44313451
>Trying to hide it from you? Laughing at your feelings? Or whining about you not cheating on her when she flagrantly does it to you?
This is the part you keep ignoring.
>>
>>44313324
To be fair, that's basically Rin's approach to every grail war, copy or not. "Find decent Servant+Master combination, ENGAGE HAREM."
>>
>>44313499
He does this every time Fox-Caster comes up how are you not used to it already.
>>
>>44313512
Harem's one thing if all parties are consenting. Want to have a three way relationship? Sure, if everyone's cool with it. But you're not porking Rani/Rin, so it's her cheating.
>>
>>44313506
Seems to be spot on. Arturia's a pretty heftily priced Servant, but she is one of the strongest ones.

>>44313422
His own fault. Never trust a filthy witch.
>>
>>44313508
Yeah, because the whole "you'll both die if she doesn't" part doesn't matter. At all.

Look, I can understand being angry at them playing it like it didn't matter, but come on, it was a life-and-death situation.
>>
>>44313526
Saber didn't seem too thrilled about it at first. She gave in soon enough.
NONE CAN RESIST RIN.
>>
>>44313580
You can't really sit there and say I'm wrong for hating her for it because of the context, and then ignore the context yourself with how they went about it.
>>
>>44313523
Bad memory which is why I try to get a memory perk early on so it doesn't screw me over later.
>>
>>44313601
I hear that.
And then promptly forget it. And where all the good memory perks are.
>>
>>44313591
>None can resist Rin
I want to argue this but I can't think of anyone besides GArcher who I think was teasing her.
>>
>>44313411
>>44313377

Okay, that was dickish of me to say that,

I was just trying to determine if, if it is mid-late jump for me, whether being a servant or master offers more beneficial stuff
>>
>>44313580
>>44313599
>>44313591

Don't bother arguing with him. Just ignore him. He' always fixates on the cheating aspect and ignores all context about the situation no matter what anyone says. Y'know, the whole being stuck in a cyber deathbattle with immortal demigods context.

These arguments always come across as stupid. People shouldn't have to justify who they want to waifu beyond "fluffy tail", and I've heard far worse people being waifued but for some reason this nigga just picks on some fluffy tailed bint instead of everyone else's tastes.

Justiceanon used to waifu villainesses like Kerrigan. Konata regularly flirts with danger, sometimes literally. And the less said about ASA's personal life, the better.
>>
>>44313684
>Ignores the context
What about the context >>44313451
>Trying to hide it from you? Laughing at your feelings? Or whining about you not cheating on her when she flagrantly does it to you?
It's just as much about how they went about it as what they did, and you completely ignore that.
>>
>>44313684
Also as far as I know, nobody is trying to waifu any other character who cheats. There's being a bitch to other people and there's betraying the people you're supposed to love. The later is far, far worse on a personal level.
>>
>>44313642
It depends on what you're looking for really. Some of them come with a good package like Index and Savant (first one - resistance and immunity to grimoires, good mental indexing while the second - excellent spatial awareness and firearm skills) while others are simply perfect memory like the 100 CP one in KOTOR.
>>
>>44313709
You clearly hate her for it. Why not just summon her? You might get to run into her, in the Extra jump to my recollection, so you can murder her if it bothers you that badly.
>>
Just ignore him people and let's talk about something else.
Like how do you Jumpers deal with copies of yourself being made? Like some secret organization making copies of yourself for whatever reason and you find out about it.
>>
>>44313684
I'm not arguing with him, I'm just taking the excuse to talk about Rin, Glorious Harem Maker.
>>
>>44313651
Up to you really. I don't know your build so I won't really be able to say which is more useful for you.
>>
>>44313743
She deserves to be hated and she's a shit waifu. So people sitting here and blindly waifuing her because she has a fox tail are screwing themselves over.

Best part about flithy witches? Help them clean up.
>>
>>44313743
*Why not just not summon her

I'm retarded.
>>
>>44313745
There's a perk from... either Sword & Sorcery or the Xena/Hercules jump that applies here.
>>
>>44313743
I'm also never not going to be pissed about the game fucking me over like that.

The world needs more hot redheaded magic users.
