NASA experimented with skintight suits in the '60s and '70s.
The idea is you can use an elastic suit to put pressure on the body rather than building a man-sized space balloon and using air pressure, and it actually works better since the space suits we use now can't stand enough air pressure to match Earth completely.

The only real issue is construction and material technology for the elastic itself, and figuring out how to put pressure on your nuts without crushing them, and MIT's recent Biosuit looks to try and solve those.


Outside of that you can always just say "fashion" and leave it at that. People will always wear the stupidest shit if they think it looks cool.

Not sure why the faceplates are opaque, it could be a form of glare/radiation protection since the suits are space walk capable.

But Quarian suits are supposed top be unique to each wearer, no two are alike, so for a Quarian it's easy to tell the difference between two people at a glance. This was established in the books and Tali talks about it a bit, but the in-game models are not good representations of that.

I don't think there are any rules against it, just that it's unlikely due to the nature of each of the abhuman races. Ogryn are too stupid (but seriously, an ogryn eversor would be holy shit ded-killy) to make good assassins, while the few Squats and Ratlings that are left alive after the nids nommed their homeworlds aren't really likely to be cut out for it. Ratlings maybe, for the same reason halflings make decent rogues thanks to their size and dexterity, but they're typically too jewish and gluttonous to be a deadly killing machine the Officio requires. Squats are too insular and grudgy, and way too stout and sluggish to fit any of the assassin temples.

But abhuman or not, if any of them are blanks, the Culexus temple will snatch them up in a heartbeat.
