Couple people were asking how things were progressing on the update front - here's the skinny.
Holidays have kept me very busy, plus I've been sick a couple times, and not the fun 'stay home and pop some aspirin, still do work' sick, and some non-holiday things that I didn;t relish doing but had to attend like funerals. I've been rather busy and haven't got a lot done.
That said, 1.4 of the Core MGCYOA IS done. I haven't put it out yet because I'm still working on the Patron Module, previously called the corruption module. Patron as a perk, and all references to monster girls have been excised from the core .pdf, and are being put into the Patron Module, which allows you to determine who your mystical backer is. Currently I have the Puchuu, Spirit, Old God, Forgotten, The Light, and the Ebon Mint as options.
Since Patrons and Monster Girls have always been part of the core CYOA, I'm unwilling to release 1.4 until this module is also done.

As for ETA on the Patron Module. I could have it done by the end of next week if nothing goes wrong. Worst case scenario, I will post up 1.4 and whatever is complete from the Patron Module on Christmas.

Big Friends in Sahara's system are based off the 1.2 Release of Quasar Black's CYOA which did not designate Perks to Allies/Big Friends, so it was 'normal' when that is taken into consideration. The 1.3 Release of the CYOA has added coins and perks to them and at the time there is no plans to alter AMGCore in that regard.
Wings were originally in the MonG perks but due to popular demand were removed (overlap from vanilla perks).
You could fluff Levitation + Bestial perks to have wings, more or less/

I'll consider it. Current 1.4 file is 6.95megs, so I have a little wiggle room with things I could add.
Mount is partially covered by one of the new Familiar options in 1.4
Overclock feels more Dragonball/Naruto than magical girl.
Prime of Your Life is interesting. That could be used, though I'd probably tweak the combat bonus, and give it an hour, maybe two, of use per day out of combat. Enough to get into 'I can date, but I can't ever stay over or spend an entire day without being found out.' shenanigans.
Teleportation as a short range thing, maybe needs some kind of limiter, I think.
Avatar is... poorly named, but I get the gist. I'd probably limit this to two other elements at increasingly less effective MAG, and base if off of core MAG. Like you can wield one other element at half your effective MAG, and another at 1/4.
Anything that is 'You functionally have extra Stats' is a bit boring as a Power. i.e. Sturdiness is basically a bunch of extra VIT.
I'm hesitant on Nullification, it is unique, but it feels a bit like allowing you to no-sell others mechanics, which is a bit out of theme.
I don't want to have any powers that lean on the optional Fusion mechanic.
I have a few ideas of my own. I'll consider adding to the core pdf, but I need 10 more, and to keep it under 8 megs, so we'll see. Powers are already 2 pages in 1.4, this would take Powers to 5 pages, similar to Specializations.

Also had a random question. In magical burst you're supposed to combine magical attributes (magic,heart,fury) to combat stats (attack, defense, support). Any ideas on how to put fury and support together?

He offered her a deal, he would teach her how to condense and store her magical power into mundane objects, if she would deliver a certain amount of emotionally laden objects per month to him. She accepted the deal and is now proficient with creating bullets and other trinkets infused with ceratin emotional energies and their respective magical effects. Using her own powers is, however, still the more powerful option, but it allows Lena to switch relatively easy between different emotional powers, albeit at a weaker level. Still better than trying to keep both positive and negative emotions in great quantities stored in her own body.

Currently there are several categories of Patron, which should encapsulate the majority of them.
Puchuu are the main one.
Spirits covers a large variety of things with limited purviews.
Deities covers all your various old named gods.
Horrors covers your various malevolent patrons, wanting to destroy earth, conquer it, steall all the energy or what have you.
Then I have The Light as the white coin/Spark patrons and the Ebon Mint as the Black Coin patrons. I'm up for better name suggestions if you have them.

Used the point-buy method, two silver coins in agility (+4), one silver coin spread across strength and magic (+1, +1). Gold was used to buy additional perks - couldn't resist the pokemon reference considering the build is based on a riolu. Wasn't sure what to do with the spell space.

Jacqueline, often abbreviated to Jack or Jackie, is a new addition to the ranks of magical girls. They're inexperienced but drawn by their new powers to those in need of a helping hand. Aided by their apparent knack for getting around the Overcity they can be found racing to and fro - often with whoever they can wrangle into coming with them as they don't trust their combat inexperience. Other times they act as something of a tracking hound to parties of magical girls on a hunt.
In all cases, Jacqueline prefers to be in the company of others. The empathic links help her abilities and help regulate their own emotions. It can be potentially dangerous however. If a strong prevailing emotion runs through the group it could have disastrous consequences for her. Terror and anger are especially conducive to triggering another transformation where they end up taking on an even greater resemblance to the pokemon they share many similarities with. Depending on the situation that could lead to them bolting away from the situation until they can calm down, potentially stranding a group of magical girls without their navigator, or them lashing out at those around them.

That's just be the default Puchuu. Basically, you can end up being a DMG/monster girl from any of them, but the Patron module is non-random, so you'd choose for theme. Each has a couple unique boons and banes/geasa you can take. Default is to gain one static boon and one drawback. You can take one additional boon by taking on an additional drawback. Drawbacks are mostly things you've seen before - mental editing, monstrous body, monstrous motivations, etc.

Sort of, yes. The Puchuu Boons and Drawbacks are relatively minor. Some of the other Patrons offer greater potency, but also twist or hurt you more.
It's kind of a sliding scale of humanity you end up with. Sticking with the Puchuu keeps you closer to being just a human with special powers, taking one of the others may give you more power, but will make you stranger and more alien, even out of costume.
