I want to get into wargaming, /tg/. I'm thinking about giving

I've seen alternative rules with paper standees instead of miniatures, and shooting paperclips with a rubber band. The only real cost there is cardstock, printer ink, and time

It doesn't work anymore, since it's written for toy cannons with springs that were way stronger than what's allowed in toys today.

But the thing is, toy cannons back then were way more powerful, since they didn't have pesky laws about not making dangerous toys and stuff. Modern toy cannons simply can't fire hard enough to topple over toy soldiers from the same distances.
