>Purchases 'The Immortal', 'The Witch', and 'Spellbook'
>Performs Body-swap ritual with 'The Immortal'
>Proclaims utter invincibility to the heavens.

Any problems with this plan?

.....well, aside from the very last step.
>>
>>43826466
collar around your neck, bro, suddenly the immortal is your master and if you take the collar off you die.
>>
>>43826516
Quite true.

hm...I suppose I could always figure out a way to remove it beforehand and just have the witch make some elixir to put The Immortal under till the ritual's complete.
>>
>>43826516
>if you take the collar off you die

Could some kind fella give me the cyoa were one option was to "die" in order to make mankind have a leap in technologies or to have your life filled with loving monster girls etc?
>>
>>43826653
Immortal being unable to die from exploding collar raises the question of "what the fuck is she doing in the slave market in the first place".
>>
>>43826653
Immortality = ability to live forever, not necessarily "unability to die".

The collar explodes... if you can get it off. She seems to be a normal girl otherwise, maybe just tearing a metal collar off is beyond her level of physicality?

>>43826742
Sure, immortal is different from invincible... except that she explicitly survives and regenerates from any part of her body getting cut off (the whole point choosing her), and of >>43826466 who uses the phrase "utter invincibility" without anyone complaining.
>>
>>43826805
I think the problem might have something to do with she didn't know how to get it off, or that she REALLY didn't like the pain of "dying" like that
>>
>>43826854
That, or she actually enjoys being a slave / dominated / eaten. The possibilities are endless.
>>
>>43826805
>The collar explodes... if you can get it off.
That's just the explosive seal. It seems implied that the main explody bit of the collar would activate from disobeying in general.

>>43826950
If she were sufficiently rebellious, they'd be running through collars pretty fast, or they'd be selling a defective product since 1) they can't actually guarantee loyalty with the explody collar, or 2) she could potentially make herself inconvenient enough to own with all the escape attempts that the owner would eventually stop trying?

>>43826996
>tits the size of their heads
I hate it when people use this as a hyperbole.

>>43827041
Were you also the guy that made the two-picture shitty new version with the white text on black background?

wait what's the problem?

you want older females? guys? females with more reasonably sized breasts?

Refine your complaint, and increase your chances of receiving what you need.
>>
>>43826996
You can use "small_breasts" as a search term for most boorus if you don't like large breasts.
>>
>>43827122
Maybe she isn't sufficiently rebellious, as has been suggested earlier. In any case, they only guarantee that the collar will explode if tampered with, they only say that slave loyalty is "ensured", not "insured. Which, if you look at the real world, only means "assured".

Besides, her description presents her as an "interesting case", unique enough to perhaps be an attractive sell to the right buyer despite any inconveniences.

The bigger question is, if you think that the collar can kill her, how do you reconcile that with her regenerative powers?
>>
>>43827186
>they only guarantee that the collar will explode if tampered with
Read again. They guarantee loyalty with a standard explody collar that _also_ has explody seal to prevent removal by unauthorized parties.
>>
>>43827067

>guys wearing armor that have facial expressions
>girls wearing non-slut armor
>both genders with pistols/shot guns

>>43827128
See above. I need anatomically reasonable girls - if she's twelve, all of her body should be twelve.
Also, preferably girls with weapons that don't either look far too happy, or far too psychotic
Older men/women would be nice, some grizzled veterans.
And muscular/slightly fat men and women, if possible with LMG's

>>
>>43827222
You read again. They say that loyalty "is ensured"; this passive attribution is standard sales speak that is meant to both convey more trustworthiness than "assured" without promising any compensation like "insured" while also avoiding any personal responsibility ("I ensure this - meaning if it turns out to not be true you can blame me and my word" vs "it is assured because of this transparent measure that we are sharing with you, and that you have the full right, ability, and opportunity to assess - fairly reasonable measures have been taken, and you accept these measures as adequately effective as a byproduct of making the purchase").

Yeah, pretty much. They don't guarantee loyalty, at all, any more than a deck wood sealant guarantees your deck surviving all damage for any length of time despite "ensuring many years of happy outdoor deck use for you and your family". It also doesn't guarantee happiness, that any deck you seal will automatically be outdoors, that you will actually use your deck, or that you will have a family.
>>
>>43827341
>You read again.
You're sticking to the wrong part, I only used "guarantee" because you did. The collar itself is a magic exploding collar, with an explosive seal for tamper-proofing, which would implicate there's a trigger for the exploding other than attempted removal with improper tools (or by unauthorized party, however the seal works).

>So there's an additional trigger for exploding; I don't think anyone has a beef with that. How does that conflict with >>43827186?
To me, the following seems to imply that tampering is the only trigger for the exploding:
>they only guarantee that the collar will explode if tampered with
But apparently I'm reading too much (or too little) into the specific wording.

I understand what he was going for, but look at that picture and tell me she doesn't look like she's pointing it at herself and not at the ground
>>
>>43828337
It's clearly pointing down between her knees. Could the artist have done a better job? Of course. Their biggest mistake is not putting any effort in showing through technique that the gun is farther away from the viewing point than her knees; although it clearly is, a bit of emphasis on this point would help people interpret the image without having a knack for seeing perspective and anatomical geometry.
>>
>>43828410
It also doesn't help that she's tiny; though being robotic, ostensibly Japanese, and modeled after a young girl makes this makes sense.

I think a major source of people's confusion is the brain noting the relative size of the handgun and the brain refusing to be convinced that she could be that small with that mature expression and holding a weapon.
>>
>>43828410
I can see that it's going between her knees, but the way her wrist is bent implies it's being bent at least slightly towards her knee
>>

>>
>>43827678
>comfort

The asses, cocks and acts of degeneracy I have seen in the flesh are so numerous and horrifying that I feel nothing sexual anymore. It gets better anon.
>>
>>43828474
It is slightly bent towards her knee. This is what happens normally when your elbow is at a certain angle and your arm is resting on her knees as hers is.

Try it yourself. Sit on the floor or a sturdy table so that one foot is at the same level as your butt, then rest your forearm on your knee near the elbow. Then imagine holding a gun in a relaxed position, letting the gun point where it wants. It doesn't point at your knee, but it naturally turns a little bit and takes effort to point straight down in a dead line.
>>

Knight is less valuable if I return to the real world; the Lady and Headmaster might be much less powerful if I stay in the other realm, or it might not, depending on particulars of that other world.

Hey I started tinkering and adding to this again. Any thoughts/feedback/suggestions concerning the mechanics/traits would be greatly appreciated.

I tried to revamp the mechanics and do something interesting with them that combined the good points of luck-of-the-dice type CYOAs and the pros of point buy/direct choice CYOAs but so far the rules seem confusing as hell to people so I'm considering maybe changing it back to how it was before or maybe trying something different.

>>43830160
Just how different to you think it's going to be? What kind of super specific taste does a person need to have to think Alice is good, but trying to remake it as text would be shit? Graphically speaking, it's practically famous for being one of the ugliest CYOAs ever created.

Twelve does not mean flat. I used to live in san diego area and there were tons of very young teens 11-14 that had some incredibly large boobs. C cup range on an 12 year old. It wasn't an uncommon occurrence.

Now some sort of anime massive half the size of her torso boobs, yeah totally off.

This is truth. In my first year of highschool (age 13), there was a girl in my class named "DeeDee". Apparently she was called that for other reasons before puberty hit, but by the time she was 11, that was also her bra size.

Yes! Finally. Now I can post the build I wanted to post in the last thread but was too slow on.

>Runemaster
>Moonshot
>Hecatae
>Moare Alaine
>Red
>Wanderer

When you're a couchsurfing host, you meet a lot of peculiar people. Alaine was... a peculiar sort of peculiar. I won't say we got on well, that's not in his repertoir. But we bonded over occult books, and he was interested by my ideas about modernizing the study of the paranormal. After a few days together, he offered to take me on as an apprentice. Sure he's a jerk, but would that have stopped you?

Red joined us a while later. Alaine wasn't too keen on having her around, but I told him about the dreams I'd had of her; and her place in modern mythology, from Peanuts to the Fifth Element; and my theory that she was from the future... and on that issue, he changed his mind. I think he knew a redhead too, once upon a time.

It's a strange life. But I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a blessed one!

Both, actually.

The First Child is obviously the perspective character, but the CYOA allows you to choose.

The story begins on the day of the science fair, and The First Child made the classic baking soda volcano.

The Third Child bullies The Fourth Child into making a Science Fair project for him, but things go awry and the entire town is transported to another dimension.

Going to the edge of town transports you to the opposite edge, so you can't really leave town.

Secret Agent creator here, decided to make another one. This one is shorter and simpler; a "choose some magic objects" sort of thing. Hopefully there's some good combo potential as well as some general wish-fulfillment/free stuff goodness.

Typos fixes and object suggestions welcome; ideally things that make for more/better combos that require two or more items.

Sorry about the state of the art; I couldn't find pictures for a lot of it, so I just sketched stuff with my mouse. This is the first alpha, however--before I slap "final version 1.0" on it, I'll break out the graphics tablet and make something better.

Enjoy!

This is why I took the kuudere chip instead. It doesn't try to amplify feelings of empathy and compassion to make me good. That would, as you're discovering, become quite maddening.

The kuudere chip sets us free from those distractions and distortions and gives us the gift of pure clarity. It largely suppresses those confusing emotional reactions regarding everyone and everything - with the sole exception of an assigned master. Everything becomes so clear, so simple, so sharply focused.

Also it lets you make it snow, which is aesthetically appealing.

This one's pretty cool. Tough to decide what items I'd take. I'd probably take The Turning Stone and Pig Statue not sure on the last one.

Connected Cloth..I take it this is like a bag of holding or portable hole? Can you store stuff in the cottage?

Glass Crown + Sense Charm = invis you can move around with. Nice combo there.
Candle + Cabin is heat & light in the cabin. Another nice combo.

Not just the setting and the story, the terminology used might also need some background knowledge.

More like sucks to be the CYOA maker because people will most likely ignore CYOAs they don't understand, and chances are good this is one of them.
>>
>>43837094
This isn't a save. You clearly thought they were directly based on the game since you mentioned 'not everyone played them'. So yeah, you misread.

Neither of those games has a psi parasite. No doubt that needs to be explained, but it's not tied to the games, at all.
>>
The Scientist, you pathetic worm, where's my Necromancer CYOA update?
>>
>>43837093
More portable hole or handheld portal device than a bag of holding.

You can store whatever you want in the cottage. It's not a big cottage, but you can definitely leave whatever you want there. Just remember that time doesn't pass there here, and visa versa, so if you were to leave an egg timer there and leave, it wouldn't have moved until you opened the other door.

Actually, I forgot to explain the alternate dimension. Obviously, there's a small cottage, the anteroom that bridges dimensions. Inside, there's some basic furnishings, a wood-burning stove and fireplace, table, a few chairs, a bedroom and a sheltered area outside to store wood under. It's on a series of grassy hills surrounding a lake. The total area is around five miles square, but looping. It's always dark and raining. It's possible there's a privy pit dug, too.

And, yeah, I changed the candle at the last minute to make more sense and not conflict with the crown as much. The real combo is the wooden cube and the cottage though, just buy a dynamo and you get free and infinite power. Since you can't run cables through the anteroom into the cottage, this is probably the easiest way to get power without having to worry about a generator.

I wouldn't have if the creator didn't confirm it.

As it stood, interpreting it as anything other than the CYOA being directly based on those games is extremely counter-intuitive. Would you shoot a nuclear bomb with a gun to disarm it?
>>
>>43837212
I can't help it, it's so funny how they refuse to admit to a mistake.

>>43837246

>>

I don't deny that I did, but if anything they made an error first, and I wouldn't have made an error if not for them.
>>
>>43837281
That anon didn't make an error. He recognized an inspiration. You thought an inspiration meant it was directly based on said games. It's your mistake alone.

I am working on it.
Would you like to see the progress so far then?
>>
>>43837311
Of course!
>>
>>43837287
No. That anon recognised something in that CYOA that could be taken from one of those games. It could be an inspiration, or it could be directly from the game.

The creator's detailed response indicated that it was the latter.
>>
>>43837321
No, he confirmed the inspiration. You, again, misread.

Honestly the problem with poking people like you is that, after a certain point, you discover they're not just stubborn, they're actually medically autistic. And autists really can't be talked down, their brains don't work right. So I'm sorry friend, but there's not a lot of fun left in the back and forth anymore, since you're just left saying 'nuh uh'. That's not funny, it's tiring.

Is this... A page for Tier 0 spells?

Tell me your secrets, sorcerer!

I like some items, but others just feel underpowered. I'd just rename "magic items" into "artefacts" and leave only most powerful ones, plus made some thematic downsides and restrictions. And there's also an issue of some immortalities requiring an item slot (phylactery/vats etc.) and some not. Gotta streamline it one way or the other.

Also, buff purple spells.

>>43826896
I want the space ship so i can draw massive graffiti dick on the moon.
>>
>>43837381
No, i'm just organising them by tier now, and i haven't gotten around to removing the 5th page.
The items that are currently required will be altered to be better/more powerful versions, such as a phylactery that is near-indestructible-er or a coffin that is damage-resistant and locks from the inside, etc.

>Also, buff purple spells
Any suggestions?
>>
>>43837336
Let's go back to the creator's response:
>The story begins on the day of the science fair
If the impression was really that it had just been inspiration he'd have said "a science fair" rather than "the science fair". Using "the" here indicates that he was talking about some specific science fair, which in this context would have meant some science fair that occurred in the game. This would mean that the CYOA wasn't inspired, but rather directly based on the game.
>>
>>43837405
Anon please, this fiddling over the specific word usage makes your autism even more obvious.
>>
>>43837212
Which one of them are you referring to?
>>
>>43837412
All I'm saying is that it was the creator's response that ultimately led me to make an error. You were saying that all I did was go "nuh uh", so I pointed out which part of the post misled me.

Also being concerned about specific word usage is not unreasonable.

>>
>>43837401
>Any suggestions?
I'd make create undead 2 spells (lesser and greater) to streamline all minion creation rituals, plus I'd allow to create weakest forms of undead (like zombies or ghouls, or dead dogs) without any particular ritual (maybe just knowing one spell from the related grimoire would be enough).

That would both allow you to add some more unique spells that wouldn't look like a filler (I mean, death touch and death ward are almost the same besides small details), and allow more variety in minion selection. Plus, your idea of "hybrid" two-colored minions would be better realized, because the current system favors specialization over diversification. At least make it so that selecting "purple" create lesser undead along with "blue" bind spirit would grant some benefits to necromancers that don't want to specialize too much.

Or even better, remove all "create undead" spells whatsoever and restrict minion selection based on the number and tier of spells known. You know 1 tier 1 purple spell - you can create zombies. You know tier 3 - you can create death knights etc.

It's all at your discretion, of course, as you might've alreay changed the whole minion system.

Honestly, Scientist, you've fluffed up more necromancy types than I even thought existed. Kudos. Though looking at it while the two companion thing is absolutely fine as it is the Sasha and Sir Henry duo should probably be counted as one because either alone is highly impractical. Unless they'll just both be there if you buy one and not the other. Also magic resistance of some kind that's more readily accessible because the Liber Animas with its soul magic is probably the most terrifying thing ever even if you're just trying to learn it. Otherwise no complaints.

I was under the impresion American schools only had one science fair a year, and it's always one of those big ones where people from the board of educators judged science fair projects.

I only know of the Americann education system from cheesy high school movies, which is why I thought it'd be "The" science fair, rather than "a" science fair.

I'm guessing that's what Shapeshift is for. Nothing stopping you changing into the little girl. You'd be uncommonly dense, though, since your total mass stays the same. Don't try to play on the seesaw with other little girls, then.

Thanks to the little exploration granting that +2 Credits, able to take a fair bit of stuff. End result a fast-healing, physically fit body-guard esque warrior for the coming days, able to create explosives at a moment's notice to toss like grenades, but more specialized for fighting up close and personal as necessary. Still likely to carry a number of small throwing knives or darts or whatever suits him best in a pocket dimension, and shake them to explode after hitting when on duty and facing more than he can take care of by blade alone.

Pretty damn good at staying alive with all the physical upgrades, but still with his own limits.

With enough robotics club learning and some practice in classes too a fellow can even work on having a hunting companion to join in on the fun, a Tigribot ready to help its master hunt down the coming darkness and protect those worth it and willing to pay his fees.

So how many points do you have BASE, why do factions give so many goddamn "Extra points" over adventurer? I can see you having more resources and crap, but doubling or tripling independent people is a little insane especially for min-maxing stats and such.

A little feedback and suggestions:

As pointed out, put the base points in a more obvious spot

For stats, the additive math thing with all those stats is annoying. Just have the cumulative numbers. For example, have 120 for health +6.

Allow people to buy moves outside their type for points. (Since most every pokemon has tons of other-type moves.)

Just kill rolling for type or make it optional. I don't see why that should be the only roll. Make dual-typing a point cost thing if you must.

Possibly allow adventurers to have friends/allies from factions, possibly with small added costs or blocking certain high rank members like the leaders of the factions. (without buying the stupid ring, it's prohibitively expensive without the bonus points)

I mean, if you're neutral you SHOULD be able to make friends within the factions without joining.

Or maybe adventurers can get a discount on fellow adventurer allies.
>>
>>43839253

I feel it's my spiritual duty as a Princess Superior to try to lead you towards the light by pointing out that you're most of the way here already; it's costing you two picks to keep Warrior Princess going on. Wouldn't you rather pick Adventure instead, switch to Light and have another pick on top?

>>
>>43840263
Nah son, there's nowhere in reality where you have to force yourself to date people who cheat or are outright insane. You need better standards.
>>
>>43840281
The closest to a "cheater" this one has is a girl who is said to have cheated on her boyfriend ONCE, which is certainly not good but far from the game-breaking bug you're trying to make it sound. Over the course of their lives, most people would cheat on their partners way more often than that. Or do you also consider the girl who often gets boys' attention (and, mind you, is outright stated to be a virgin) a cheater? What's she supposed to do, mutilate herself with acid so other men don't look at her? Wear an abaya?

You need to grow out of the paradisical waifuland of animoo. Real life doesn't have perfect girlfriends.
>>
>>43840328
There's the girl who soaks up attention from guys for one. Not a big skip from there to cheating.

Then there's the one you mentioned. A girl who cheats isn't someone you can trust. "only once" still means she's done it, and thought it was acceptable to do so. What makes you think you're special? A person who can't be trusted in a relationship can't be trusted.

Then there's the slut-walker. A social position that approves of this kind of thing. So there's no reason she won't be doing it either.

>Most people cheat
Now this is full on delusion on your part. Either to defend yourself being a piece of shit, or because you have no standards. Sorry, most people don't end up cheating.
