Then you've got a few who primarily... aren't. Bond comes to mind. These, while sometimes effective, are also a good way to divert attention from your more subtle, slow-working spies.

Besides, once in a while, they pay off and crack the tough nuts in a burst of insane inspiration.

The guess you see in the suits with the distinct personalities and the ability to back it up in a fight are the front runners and the "face" of the organization. They have their job to do and are subtle when need be but otherwise those are all the other agents who live relatively mundane lives with the occasional influx of cash after they supply the information.

By the time you see the guys in suits everything that they needed to know about you is already know, the investigation is done and they are simply there to take you away or hand you your 45 caliber retirement notice

It's pretty shameless, when you realize it. The main differences (apart from the stupid hair) are that C. Viper has a fancy stealth suit with a bunch of gadgets to augment her physical capabilities, while Vanessa is just an ace boxer. Also, C. Viper is CIA while Vanessa is technically freelance (yet only ever works for the good guys like Team Ikari, etc.).

She is indeed the oldest woman on the roster at roughly 30. A number of special intros with her are her commenting on the youth of most of the other girls on the roster.

I'd still say the's someonewhat story-critical. It was her efforts with hte Agent Team that fully exposed NESTS, and it was the Agent Team (along with Blue Mary) who helped blow the plot of Those From The Past (and the plot of KOF 13) wide open.

Juri is popular because she is the first true female villain in Street Fighter. You could argue that the dolls and Cammy were villains but they were all brainwashed to do it so that doesn't really make them relevant as characters.

Juri is fills a character spot that has been vacant for the SF cast for pretty long. She is a villain by choice, she is actively evil and she is "mostly" independent making her somewhat more than Bison's lackeys. That and she is a Tae-Kwon-Do user, and a Korean the first ever in Street Fighter.

While TKD using characters were prominent in other franchises like Tekken, KOF, VF etc. SF has a huge following in Korea and this has been pleaded by fans for long but CAPCOM was too busy masturbating to Shotos 24/7, it still is btw but at least somewhat less so.

I'm pretty sure she just left, and she couldn't take the Dolls with her because their brainwashing was so severe that if they left Dictator's side, they would die. Apart from that and the claim that Alpha Cammy was more powerful than Alpha Dictator, everything else lines up. Cammy is the CQC expert for Delta Red, a branch of British special forces and British intelligence, hence why she's the one who in Street Fighter compared to her comrades. Everything since Alpha up until now is Cammy basically getting over her past and learning to live her new life.

Every fighting game character's story is silly because it's a kind of silly genre, and I say that as someone who unabashedly loves them. The only realistic fighting game character background is "professional martial artist," and it would be fairly dull if every Street Fighter or King of Fighters character was just a twentysomething fit guy who wanted a payday without getting punched in the head too much. That said, the way Capcom tried to push Juri during her intro was silly.
