Played it all the way through (I think) a while back, downloading it again now, it's fantastic although I'd recommend a controller, and if it's not xbox grab joy2key, the game has native controls for an xbox controller but everything else is fucked up. tl;dr Play this shit it's gud m80

If you can finish ZM and Super in under ~1hr, I would recommend playing your first run of AM2R on Hard mode for maximum entertainment.

From a mechanical perspective, it is probably the best 2D Metroid. It's a worthy remake. The combat is crisp, the controls are tight, and you'd think this was a AAA release from Nintendo itself. It realy is that good.

The blog still has downloads for Confrontation, which was a tech demo and complete side-game on its own, I recommend that too.

Took me 4 hrs on medium difficulty (66% of the items).
It really feels like a genuine Metroid game
