How does /sp/ feel about streaming? It's unacceptable for /a/ to stream anime, but you guys don't seem to mind streaming much.
Is it possible to reconcile our differences at this point?
for /sp/ its more logistics thing, really hard to watch a recorded game without it being spoiled beforehand. especially if its a big game. so i think most all are fine with it since there isn't much way around without ruining it for yourself. plus regional blackouts and shit like that.
wtf is /a/'s problem with streaming? never thought it would be an issue

/a/ can be quite picky with its playback solutions. Quality for streaming is considered subpar and posting about it will quickly get your post greentexted. Ironically, most of /a/ downloads shows from HorribleSubs, which are just stream rips.
/a/ doesn't have a problem with streaming of live TV/events. /a/ just hates streaming already-aired stuff off ad-infested low-quality websites.
Mainly it's because the idea is that the sites end up degrading the show so much with their bitrate starvation, ad bullshit, and watermarking, that to watch it there is an affront to the show.
Live streaming is cool though, japanese TV ads are best ads.
