Of the North American sports, Ice Hockey is probably the most established in the UK, since most towns and cities have a rink.

Scottish people are incredibly insecure and won't try anything new or perceived as different to the norm in case they are the subject of ridicule, they'll laugh at anything which isn't football or darts and says it's for poofs etc.
