1998-2002-2006-2010-2014-2018
Will be remembered as the golden age of professional football:
> 32 teams per tournament
> Best players: Ronaldo, Zidane, Buffon, Iniesta, Xavi, Robben, Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo.
> "refball" didn't play an important role in the outcome of decisive matches.
> All relevant continents served as host

im so fucking pissed that they made 48 teams for world cup it completely lose its meaning especially that there will be 12 cities as hosts not 1 or 2 countries...
>> "refball" didn't play an important role in the outcome of decisive matches.
Someone doesn't remember 2002 right

it is the "world" cup, most countries should be allowed to play as long as they figure out the scheduling and time frame.
most of the world cup is shitty quality anyway, people just overlook it because of the glamor of it being the world cup
The worst thing about a 48 team world cup is the format they've gone with. Groups of 3 will be terrible and have a lot of games that will be meaningless

I believe that late 90's and early 00's was a different era from the one that we live today.
Those days were full of GOATS and alot of competitive teams, since 2009 we are stucked in Barça/Real rivalry and meme players like Messi and CR7.
2005 will always be le golden age of football

you should have to qualify you stupid commie
having 11 semi pro players sit behind the ball while a bunch of conference tier players try to attack isnt entertaining

It was from 1998 to 2010
people complain about 2010 so much. i thought it was decent
i hope they don't make it more than 32 teams.

It's already confirmed that 2026 will have 48 teams.
