In barca everyone knew that and knew how their roles revolve all around messi, while in argentina all of the players subconsciously know that they are playing with perhaps the greatest of all time so they just don't try to create something because they feel like he is going to do something crazy and because of that chances will come out of the blue which can't be further from the truth.

Argentinas NT is just a bunch of gloryhunters depending on one man to create a miracle for them. Football doesn't work that way and especially international football where having a great team from tatctial aspect (everyone knowing their roles) is far more important than having great players. Because after all any bad team that is tactically great can win a cup because it's only a couple of games. Eg Chelsea 2012, Greece 2004, Portugal 2016
