It was rigged the moment a 49-0 champion agreed to fight an amateur boxer.

After that, Mayweather could do whatever he wanted in that ring. I remember thinking in Round 4 Mayweather, when he started moving forward and McGregor didn't know how to deal with it, that the fight could end any time Mayweather decided to, but he let it drag on. At the time, I thought he just wanted to give the fans a show because of the high PPV and ticket prices. When McGregor was totally gassed going into Round 9, then got put away in Round 10, and I remember telling my friends it was a "mercy kill," in that Mayweather ended the fight just for a dramatic finish before McGregor totally embarrassed himself.

It was only afterwards that I read the story about Mayweather betting on himself winning by KO exactly when he did. Was the ref in on it, did the mob execute someone, was the whole fight scripted, that's going to need more investigating to prove...and probably deserves to be. But I agree that when a 49-0 champion enters the ring with an amateur, there was only 1 outcome, which is: whatever the champ wants.
