I'm a skinny, 110lb 5'10 motherfucker who wants to learn how to box. Is there any point while I'm this skinny? Do I need to load on weight before I can start training? Also, do you generally go to a boxing teacher or is it something that they offer at gyms? I have amazing reaction times and have been told I can actually deliver a somewhat formidable punch, but I'm wondering if it's not gonna mean anything if I have to use my boxing skills on someone bigger than me. Any tips or general advice for someone looking to get into it?

lol I know, I come from vast generations of emaciated men
You'll have a crazy reach advantage over guys in your weight class you genetic freak.

Thank you hungry skeleton.
Seriously just go to a boxing gym. You actually have advantage over other fighters of your weight class, assuming your arms don't snap like twigs.
Do some extra bodyweight exercises or even with weights on the side and you should be fine.
dude, just do it. stop being a pussy

Right on, once I start making a little more money I'm gonna see which boxing gym is my fit, I think there's at least a couple in my town. My dad's gonna be helping me out with weight training too, so hopefully everything should go fine assuming my arms don't snap
Go for BJJ its easier for you
when u get stronger then go for box

Remember that best gyms have quite a few beginners, but also competitors. That means that the gym cares about new boxers and just don't milk them for money, but also that the people there know what they are doing since they have fighters competing.

you should go on /fit/ and start lifting weights.

>is there any point
course there is. Strength, discipline, ability to defend yourself, fitness, etc. etc.
