Why do football teams simplify their logos nowadays to look like

new one is better

Circular badge are seen to be more modern and clean

They're also easier to fit on merchandise and to embroider on shirts etc

West Ham and Juve look like a fucking joke now

it's just part of a larger aesthetic trend. You see the same kind of move from drop shadows, emboss and ornamentation to more minimal and flat design everywhere, logos, gui, whatever. And trends move dialectically, so there will probably be an antithesis to the current trend in 2-3 years.

No wonder Jota wants to leave
