Also your graph literally mirrors overall population shifts in the united States. Wherever the people go football goes with them. Literally hasn't dropped off a bit.

Reminder to you guys that college sports are a contributing factor to your high as fuck tuition bill. Not all schools make a profit in football (only the SEC and some Big Ten schools do) and all the other sports added to the bill only destroys what ever profit that is made so that money to pay for these sports comes out of your tuition.
