Bit of a MMA rookie so can I get a rundown on why mcgregor diaz 2 wasn't called at the end of the 3rd? he wasn't fighting back for around 20 seconds, I've seen fights called in 1/4 of that.

He was still in it and intelligently defending, you might have seen fights called earlier than that (Though I'm skeptical, name some examples), they're probably instances of bad reffing.
