For grown ups, sports simply aren't that important. Sure, they're exciting when you're a child because of the bright colours, movement and larger than life characters and grandiose spectacles. If they're still as exciting as an adult then you're probably clinging onto your childhood and haven't embraced the reality that is adulthood. That's not to say they can't be enjoyed in moderation. But the truth is, when you're an adult, they're something you watch when nothing else is on and occasionally, there's a decent episode.

You'll never replicate that initial excitement so take sports off the pedestal you placed it on as a child and from there on, sports become watchable again.
