Terrific footballer. Can't run, can't shoot from distance - even edge of the box is pushing it for Giroud. Those two things are very important. Add ranged shooting and he's Costa tier. Add acceleration and he's Lewandowski tier.

Arsenal fan here.

Aspects of his play are genuinely world class. There are certain in-game situations where he's just unplayable (out-muscling a man-mountain like Maguire from a set-piece last night is a good example) and I think we've done well to keep hold of him this season. He's one of the best big men in the game right now and I'd actually take him over someone like Lukaku.

With that said, there are definitely significant limitations to his game and we've done well to mitigate our reliance on him as our main attacking outlet over recent seasons.
