He really did look good out there. Yes, it was against 3rd team scrubs, but he actually had good pocket presence, could move around, go through his reads and throw some absolute dimes. Of course it's different when you're going against 1st stringers, but those are the things you can't easily teach a QB. They come into the NFL with it or they don't.

Paxton Lynch couldn't do any of that, he threw to his first read every time, chucked it too high and was scared AF in the pocket.

I liked Trubs as a prospect though. He just wasn't as good as Wentz, who wasn't as good as Mariota/Winston.

He is miles ahead of Prescott as far as development goes. Prescott is a play action babby who isn't all that accurate and isn't asked to go through progression.

Trubisky has disgustingly good accuracy while moving, made full progressions in his first preseason game, moved in the pocket while keeping his eyes down field, he checked every single box in one night except for a defense disguising its looks with a gameplan catered to him. But raw skills, clock management, pocket awareness, timing throws, seeing the entire field...it's all there. He's a gem.
