Has there ever been a more irrelevant "best player"

It's astounding how fast Aaron Judge blew past everyone else to be the most famous baseball player. I guess it helps a lot to play for the Yankees.

Trout is super good but he doesn't seem to have a marketable personality and his team never goes anywhere. If he just wants to get paid and never play October baseball he's set, otherwise it's such a waste of potential.

Aaron Judge's personality is just as if not more boring, just plays in New York. He's also a fluke though so I guess it doesn't really matter. When Harper goes to New York baseball will have the hero it needs

Some of the best players in the history of baseball have been incredibly boring. Honus Wagner, Walter Johnson, Hank Aaron, Roberto Clemente. If Trout keeps up the level of production he has so far in his career in another 4 or 5 seasons everyone is going to be talking about him all the time as he sets a pace to break a whole lot of records.
