Is it time for the NFL to step in and do something about this division?
>>
>>77289568
no, the patriots in the playoffs is ratings gold!
>>
>>77289568
nah, im a jest fan, it'll just make it more satisfying when New England does get knocked off, whenever that is, maybe not this year, or the next, but one of these years and it'll all be worth it
>>
The Patriots would top any division so might as well leave them there and stop those shitty teams from making it
>>
>>77289568
put pats in AFC south :^)
>>
>>77289665

Brady would have 1 ring at the most if he was in the AFC North. He'd be dead already.

No, suck it up bitch.

Ravens are the only other team to do that. Quit your bitching
>>
>>77289714

Playoffs don't mean shit. The only win that matters in the whole season is the Super Bowl.
>>
>>77289687
what kind of butthurt induced desperation makes you think the pats can only beat the steelers in the afc title game and somehow would lose in a divisional round? or that they wouldnt just outright bump the other teams out of the playoffs through record?

>>
>>77289568

I genuinely believe the NFL should step in and make the Patriots more fair. It's nothing personal, it's just about parity. The NFL shouldn't allow a GOAT coach and a GOAT QB to be on the same team, it's unfair to the rest of the league.
>>
>>77289819

Sad!
>>
>>77289777

>>77289732

You know as well as I do the Dolphins aren't Super Bowl contenders. Bragging about making the playoffs is just bragging about being a loser.
>>
Quit asking for the League to step in and create parity because you can't.

>>
>>77289687
Pats have a better record against Pittsburgh than against Miami so I doubt it
>>
>>77289861

It's their league, they can do whatever they want. They just won't because they know the Cheatriots and their inbred fans would raise too much of a stink.

And Belichick would just find new ways to cheat and win.
>>
>>77289841

how is retaliating against dirty plays "not handling it?" thats exactly how you handle it
>>

why do people always get mad at the jets sucking when the bills havent fucking made the playoffs since 1999 for fucks sake?

the jets even swept the bills last year
>>
>>77290091

The Bills had 4 straight chances to get a Super Bowl win. They should've been dissolved as a franchise after that disgrace, be thankful they're even still playing
>>
>>77289568

They can't do anything now. It would be too dumb, corrupt even, to change a division just because one team is doing too well. They need to be sneaky sneaky (sneaky rike pearr harbor) and change it after the Pats fall off.
>>
>>77290055

>be Steelers fan
>see that 9-2 vs Pitt record

No way, I distinctly remember at least two games we beat Brady off the top of my head. Surely there were a couple more.

>look at records of past seasons

Holy shit. We fucking suck against Brady
>>
>>77290055

Because it might be hard to see with this blurry as fuck image but the Patriots are 29-7 against the AFC North. Which is a better winning percentage than they have against the AFC East.

>>77289568
A big part of the problem is there aren't a lot of smart GM's or head coaches in the NFL right now and all the front offices want to see results immediately or they hit the reset button. Because the Pats are so good the Jets, Dolphins and Bills have become a revolving door of coaches, GMs and QBs because their owners don't give any of those factors enough time to develop. So you end up with these three other teams in a permanent state of transition, either they have a new QB, new HC or new GM most every year. They can't get any consistency, they can never build a team good enough to beat the Pats because they keep trying to catch lightning in a bottle over a two year period.
>>
>>77290250
well playing the same defensive scheme against Brady every year despite it never working might be part of that

Hopefully the Jets Tank Job goes smoothly. If >we had a real qb during the 09-10 run then who knows.

Dolphins are the only one that can make things interesting the next few years and thats only if Gase is the real deal as a coach.

Never count on the razor cakes
>>
>>77289977
I don't understand your logic here. What do you mean "handling" it? are you implying that the current AFC North teams don't hold each other accountable for dirty plays? or that the pats wouldnt just march down the field every game from free facemask and late hit calls? afc north isnt somehow massively different in the level of physicality, they are just poorly disciplined and commit stupid fouls.
>>
I'd like to see Brady play 2 games a year in Lambeau and Soldier Field. His fragile bird bones would snap on a real football field.

Funny joke: During their careers Tom Brady's AFC East has had a better record than whatever division Peyton Manning was playing in, whether you include their team's records or not. Weird how HGH Manning's weak competition was never a meme, isn't it?

There's a misconception that before the idiot Kraft bought the Patriots they were perennial losers. Simply not true. Minus a 1 or 2 win season here or there they actually had an above .500 record over decades before Kraft stepped in. The problem was they happened to play in the same division as the all time winningest coach in NFL history, Shula. That happens. The Jets and Fins were literal powerhouses, combing for only a single sub-.500 season between them for Brady's 1st 5 years in the NFL (when he won the owl 3 times).

Fins won 10 games last year. Bill are .500 past 3 years despite having played the dynasty 6 times. We've had insane idiot Rex Ryan in the division for the past 8 season - his one goal in life is to beat Bill Belichick, and he wasn't without skills in this regard.

So just stop with your hater memes. Pats are great. Lying about the AFC East won't change that, faggot.

Sure, whatever you say frogposter. Taking away a team's first round pick is how the league secretly helps them. Uh huh. Suspending their GOAT QB for 4 games over nothing, that's how the NFL is tipping the scales in the Pats favor. Yup. Your theory makes perfect sense.

Don't forget this gem:

http://www.patriots.com/news/2002/11/10/amazing-comeback-downs-bears-33-30

Fat D Lineman picked off Brady and instead of just falling to the ground and sealing the victory he tried to make sports center and Brady stripped him and got the 1st down. Tom's greatest play ever!
>>
>>77291701

I remembered that wrong. Guy tried to run instead of going down for the win, but never secured it and Brady was able to strip it for an incompletion.
>>
>>77291539

The QB rules were changed by JIM IRSAY drugged out owner of the COLTS in order to protect Peyton Manning. Jim was the one on the competition committee who put forth the rule changes after Manning and the Colts kept getting their shit pushed in by Ty Law, Rodney Harrison and the Pats who were a much stronger defensive team.

That shit about the Patriots being somehow responsible is a myth perpetrated by dumbass flyover state hicks who want to live in this fantasy that country boy Peyton was some fucking paragon of virtue and those big bad New England liberuls are messin up good ol fashioned football!

>Irsay's most notable contributions to NFL operations have come through petitioning the commissioner to institute rule changes and penalties. After a playoff loss to the New England Patriots in 2003 in which Peyton Manning threw four interceptions, Irsay petitioned the NFL Competition Committee, a committee that included Indianapolis Colts president Bill Polian to make rules on pass interference stricter. Likewise Irsay and Bill Polian advocated rule changes that would lower the threshold for what constitutes a "roughing the passer" penalty. Such advocacy was considered controversial given Polian's role on the committee and the perception that the rules would disproportionately favor the Indianapolis Colts in relation to the league's other member clubs.

The only time the Broncos beat Brady when they didn't finish the season with a winning record was 2009 (Josh McDaniels coaching), when they started the season 6-0, but finished 8-8. In fact, they've had only 2 losing seasons in the 17 seasons Brady has been in the NFL.

It is well established that Pittsburgh intentionally tried to injure opposing QB's legs during Cowher's tenure there. They did it to Palmer in 2005. And in the 2001 AFC Championship game, the hit that knocked Brady out (he could have come back, but there was no need because Pitt was so useless) was the 3rd play in which a Steeler had intentionally hit Tom in leg that half.

But I hardly think the fact Cowher was easily the cheapest, scummiest coach this century is much of a selling point for your division.

In 2004, the Pats played the AFC North 5 times in a span of 84 days. And rolled to the NFL championship. Likewise, last season; 5 games against the AFC North in 104 days = Rolled to the championship.

Just never forget, when boasting about your NFL team, you claimed their ability to intentionally injury a player in a sport where anyone can intentionally injury anyone else if they are that disgusting and dishonorable as its division's number one strength.

2008 season, Bernard Pollard of the KC Chiefs injures Brady in week 1, knocking him out for the season. Pollard goes on to be the leading tackler for a horrible chiefs team.
Scott Pioli comes over from the Pats to become GM. Instead of making Pollard a key part of rebuilding the defense, or even trading him for someone useful, Pioli just released him.

Yes. A competent coach and front office is a huge part of his success, neither of which have been seen in the NFC Worst in the past 20 years. Goes without saying that he'd have a much harder time winning games on the "dude fuck defending" Rams of the early/mid 00's or the continual dumpster fire niners of the past twenty years.

>retard doesnt understand that that means its tougher competition in a tougher conference

Like Earl Thomas last year saying Pats had it easy because they don't play in his division. Even if he meant the NFC, rather than the 23-39-2 NFC North, the Pats still had a better record against the NFC and NFC North than Seattle did last year. So what's the point? Just goes to show how idiots are influenced by memes started by other idiots regardless of facts.

In fact, the AFC had a winning record against the NFC last year. And the AFC won the owl. So the AFC was the better conference last season. What the fuck did Thomas base his idiot opinion on? Good player but legitimately glad I don't have to root for obnoxious morons like the Seahawks.

>>77294433

They really seem to be the anti-Pats in that Belichick wants a team that can carry out a different game plan week to week, depending on the opponents strengths. Where as Pit, even going back to Cowher, tend to play only one way. I mean I'd never really seen anything like last year's AFCCG, as far as players being uncovered. It's okay to mix some zone coverage in against Brady, especially if you disguise it. But if you just come out every game and say we're gonna play zone coverage all game and it's up to you to read it Tom Brady, I mean, why suit up? I guess word out of Steelers camp this year is they are going to try to play more man coverage. We'll see.

>The cards are the cards and were good for one whole year before falling apart because banking everything on an injury-prone mid 30's QB is fucking stupid.
>The niners have been hopelessly shit for decades

that's a weak division everybody knows it, that's why everyone was so surprised to see the dolphins make the playoffs, last year the pats had an easy schedule leading to home field advantage against the Texans and an injured Steelers that's the easiest super bowl run I've seen in a fucking decade and from their they have a 50/50 at the Super bowl which they had all but lost until the falcons had the worst play calls in sb history, 28 -3 and were not gonna run the clock out were gonna trust one of the worst post season qbs in the nfl to pass 70% of their downs with a huge lead and get carries buy Julio jones that game was equal parts atlanta autistic playcall and patriots taking advantage of a worn out young atlanta defense to put up points fast, that game was similar to the college football championship in some regards

AFC East has the best record since realignment. Yeah, of course that's entirely due to the Pats. What people fail to realize what that says, is that it's more the Pats are that good and burying the Fins, Bills, and Jets, not that those 3 are bad and giving the Pats a free pass to the playoffs every year.

>>
>>77298261

>>
Brady and maybe BB too have no more than 5 years hopefully more like 3

Dolphins snuck into the playoffs this year so they have at least some talent. I see them relying on the run and honestly tannehill needs to take that next step he's probably never gonna take

Jets are probably the worst team in the league at least roster wise. What I don't understand is how they manage to be so bad with a defense stacked with first round picks. At least they're going full tank mode and will get a sexy new qb to ruin

Bills are in that weird area where they're bad but not bad enough to warrant a full blown roster purge. Tyrod Taylor is meh and their biggest star is a top 5-15 (depending on who you ask) receiver made of cardboard and a left guard for christ sakes

Long story short it's gonna be a few years at least unless the Dolphins fuck around somehow

>>
>>77298206

2016 is omitted from that chart. AFC East had 10 - COUNT EM TEN - more wins than AFC North last season. So it's not a 4 game lead for most wins by a division since realignment, but 14.

This was a really good thread. Always happy to dispell people's anti-Brady memes that somehow always turn out to be the opposite of what people claim.
>>
>>77298376

This thread has been amazing to follow. It's literally salty fans from other divisions fantasies and hypotheticals vs Patriots fans posting actual statistics that show how wrong they are but it doesn't stop anyone.

>The Patriots wouldn't be as good if they played in AFC North
>NFC West
>NFC East

Then a Pats fan shows up and uses ACTUAL RECORDS to show that the Pats might be MORE dominant in those divisions. But that doesn't stop the next retard from trying. Hilarious.
>>
I see a lot of predictions about how the AFC East is going to do this year, so let me throw my two cents in with a harsh dose of reality.
The Pats win the division at 14-2, go on to win the Owl
The Dolphins take a step back with the tougher schedule the AFC East has this year. Their front office overreacts at the end of the season and fires either the HC or QB.
The Bills insist they are in rebuilding mode as the new HC starts cycling out the players brought in by Rex Ryan, they end up going 4-12.
The Jorts continue their rebuild and their defense takes a step back, giving them the worst record in the NFL at 2-14.

Steelers are forever the dirty niggers of the NFL. The bengals/steelers games are fun to watch as a neutral party cause its just niggers trying to hurt each other (muh burfict, muh james harrison)

Considering the NFL overall strength is maybe a little bit below average (other than the pats there are no teams with solid offense AND defense), there are no clear favorites. There is not a single division in the NFL with more than 2 good teams. Each division has at least 1-2 shit teams

Pats will be adding Gronkowski and Cooks to an offense that averaged 35 ppg in the playoffs.

Very young offensive line with shit tons of big game experience should only get better.
