I'm thinking #1 is safer but #2 may be more profitable. Jesus was a monster with KDB at the end of last season while Lukaku slowed down, but now Big Rom is at a new club so he is an unknown quantity. Tadic is capable of scoring big and he has a new manager and So'ton have easy fixtures, but I still think he may have a slow start. You lads think Holding will continue to play like he did near the end of last season? Could be a great way into Arsenal's defense. Hopefully it's not shit like last year.

To be honest, I'm a bit more worried about how Lukaku will start the season than how Jesus will continue at City. Pep seems to love Jesus and the player certainly performed, but then again he does rotate players quite a bit so there is always that.

Tadic is definitely a risk, but under Puel the entire So'ton side was underwhelming. Maybe he will rebound this season and if he is on penalties like before he may be a great asset. He has been insane for his national team despite the less impressive performances at his club last season.

I don't think I've ever been so excited for preseason matches.

Main concern is no Man City players but I don't really see any safe bets there apart from de bruyne. Also an over-reliance on arsenal so I might switch Ramsey, though he's only 7m so might be worth the risk

Feel like my strikers are pretty top tier. Not really looking to improve too much there.

Midfield i have faith that i've got some decent low price picks along with Salah. Ritchie and Kockaert both stand out players last season probably guaranteed starters even after transfers are settled.

Opted mostly for wing backs and full backs for my defense. Put off a bit by Alonso price tag but feel like he's gonna put in another solid season and a key part of a strong squad.

Balance is decent, but I see a few problems with the players you picked. Silva is a great player, but will likely get rotated by Pep which is bad for FPL. De Bruyne seems to be the only offensive player that is immune to constant rotations at Man City. Mesa normally plays quite deep and I assume he will continue to play there at Swansea so he probably won't yield a lot of points. Trippier won't be playing much if Walker stays, and it seems no club is willing to play the garillions that Spurs are asking for him. Fabregas is extremely efficient in FPL, but his minutes are limited by Conte so he may be sporadically played again. Cedric is nice but I think Yoshida is the better choice due to the bonus points he gets and because he is less likely to be rested.

Because they have other quality players who can play the same position and they have to balance their ambitions in the premier league with those in the champions league. As a result, some players will get rotated in the less important matches so they can be fit for the bigger matches. This is what clubs with deep rosters can do. If you look at City, they have many players who can play on the right wing aside from Silva: Sane, Sterling, Navas, and even Jesus (Pep put him on the wing a couple of times last season).

Man United spent a similar amount of money on Mkhitaryan who often plays the same position as Silva and is a very talented player, yet he was terrible for fantasy because he was benched so much. He was used more in Europa league matches where he was the standout performer on the team but he did not play much in the premier league. Pep rotates players even more so it wouldn't surprise me if Silva turns out being a lackluster FPL option.

Like I said before, I think De Bruyne is the only nailed on attacking option from Man City.

Everybody starts with 100 quid and you just buy whoever you can afford. No draft and nobody exclusively owns a player. The league can be as big as you want and you can be in multiple leagues with the same team. Whoever gets most points wins.

There is the concept of head to head league too where you get pitted against somebody else in the same league and get points if you beat them.
