Reminder that Maldonado did a similar (if not worse) swipe at Hamilton during qualifying at Spa and was only given a 5 place grid drop. He also swiped at Perez during FP3 at Monaco and was given a 10 place grid drop.

He wasn't banned or dq'd for either action despite them both being at significantly higher speed than Vettels swipe. Therefore Vettels penalty should be a sufficient enough and the only reason that people want a harsher penalty is because Hamilton just so happened to get a dose of shit luck with his headrest.

Valid point, but Grosjean's performance, relatively, declined in 2009 relative to his 2008 season which can be explained by switching from ART, the best team on the grid, to Addax. Petrov had more experience but was a paydriver who was utterly humiliated in F1 by Kubica and Heidfeld.

Grosjean hasn't exactly proven to be great in F1 either; as Kimi's teammate he was flattered by Räikkönen not being the driver he once was, and an argument could be made that the '12/'13 Lotuses should have won more than 1 race per season. And well over a year after joining Haas, he's still unable to adapt to their brakes and is being beaten by Magnussen.
