The interesting thing about this statement is that if LeBron ever played with a prime Kawhi Leonard then that would be the equivalent of Michael Jordan playing with Scottie Pippen.

In other words, Lebron has never played with a player who could make 1st team All-NBA and 1st team All-Defensive like he did.

But Jordan had that luxury with Pippen. Jordan enjoyed having a teammate that was not only a 1st team All-NBA player, and not only a 1st team All-Defensive player, but was also a legitmate candidate for NBA MVP when MJ was off playing baseball.

This is not a small issue. Pippen was an incredible player in his own right.

But LeBron James was left to navigate MVPs and championships without that amount of help. Irving and Love regularly get benched for entire quarters because their defense sucks.
