why do championships matter so much for a player's legacy?
Charles Barkley, Randy Moss, and Dan Marino are just a few of the great athletes who haven't won a single championship game. Or think about the early 90s Bills, that was a great team, four-time AFC champs but since they didn't win the actual cup, they're a laughing stock. Why is there so much autism around championships
Championships = gives prestige to branding
Better branding = more shekels for (You) and companies

For a team, it's the ultimate prize. The end game for hard work. The whole point of trying hard in the season is to make it to the championship and win.
For players, it's essentially the same thing plus bling, recognition and $$$$$$.

Pretty much this + blame Nike's marketing for MJ for drilling the idea.

in other words, casual fans. basically the retards bradyposting all day.
Because that's the fucking reason you play, CHAMPIONSHIPS.
Scoring 40 in the regular season vs. Knicks isn't the same as scoring 40 in the game 7 and win the ring
imagine being jim kelly and how different his legacy would've been if only he'd of won 1 of those rings, crazy how much he's been forgotten.
