Funny I played almost every match in the first fours years so, probably resulting in almost 4000 minutes in the 5 minutes mode. Which gives a month probably (playing a few matches every day)

After winning the league, defensive mvp, mvp and finals mvp for consecutive years and reaching 99 in almost all stats and landing 5 all stars players in my team's main lineup i just skip simulated all anyways. I dont even know if ability decreases as you age but last time i checked by season 10 every players was already autogenerated

Is there any way to play with the my career player in normal matches by the way?

I can't play career mode because it takes too much time. 1000 hours does not sound fun to me. I can waste hours as a GM, but not a player.

The cut scenes in these games are always bad. Either cringeworthy or hilarious.

You can actually skip a lot of the matches when you are on the bench. Realistically you can end a single season in one day (13 hours in the 10 minutes mode, which is almost the real life time plus 4 hours at maximum in the playoffs). If you are stubborn you can finish one season in one half day. But casual play is the healthy way to go.

(Another thing that may prevent you from finishing all in one day is the skill improving training you do unless you are good and fast.)

As for the GM its fun mode as well but probably even more unrealistic
