falcons could have won in regulation or prevented the patriots from scoring a touchdown in ot

The outcome wasn't decided by a coin toss. It was decided by the self-immolation of the Atlanta Falcons. When you choke that hard, no amount of second chances are going to help you out.

Man, I hate those types.

Could it have been avoided though? Why were the Failcons hellbent on scoring, instead of keeping the ball and running the clock in the last quarter?

Regardless, the imperial system is an idiotic measuring system.
This is also how we decide the presidency in the event of a tie.

So did Nixon and Ford, they were actually making teachers learn it so they could teach it in the mid 70s. We also almost had universal health care back then too. Fucking democrats.

There are plenty of things that could have been avoided. There are a shitload of mistakes they shitbirds made, but that's the nature of choking. When you make a series of mistakes, it's difficult to stop the bleeding if your team doesn't have enough resolve to stop the bleeding.
As for why they kept on trying to score. They went with what they knew and what put them past other teams all year long, just like the Packers. If they scored just one more field goal or touchdown, they probably would have won, so they panicked.
First overtime in the history of the Super Bowl but you're going to complain because it happened once are you serious

That's not what the Constitution says. It says the House has to keep voting and revoting, with each state getting 1 vote, until someone wins. It's not likely they would need more than one runoff vote in the current landscape.
