why do people say that Lebron is the greatest NBA player ever? he doesnt even have as many rings as kobe? he just has MVP's and other records.

A very minority opinion.
That being said, if you count him as a "big man", he's the most skilled big man to have ever played the game, the best point-forward, and the best 3.
He can play the 2 and the 1 better than almost every other player in the league, and can defend 4 positions effectively.
I don't think anyone else has every done that.
