not wrong though, had Senna died before becoming a Champion, F1 would be great again.

>Roland Ratzenberger dies the day before Senna
>Nobody gives a fuck, just the typical RIP "we so sad" bullshit
>Senna dies next, everybody goes full faggot
>FIA goes full retard
>FIA impose stupid safety rules on tracks, car design, engine design, fuel, etc.
>Several F1 tracks get raped for muh safety
>Cars are made slower through engine regulations, slick tyres are banned, etc.
>Also the sexy look of early 90s F1 changes for these stupid head protectors (pic related)

Pretty much the same thing happened after Bianchi crashed in 2014

Bianchi's crash and all the other open wheel deaths from direct head impact during an accident have really shown the giant hole in that safety initiative.

Instead of making a super safe car, they ruined the sport while still leaving the most obvious vulnerability.
Id have taken closed cockpits and bigger crumple zones if they kept everything else the same.
>>
>>75986662
the fatal outcomes of de Vilotta crash and Bianchi's crash could have easily been avoided by not having those vehicles they hit around in a way you can get your head smashed, it really wouldn't have cost a lot to change them in such a way that you won't go under one of those
Wilson's death could have been avoided but who knows what disadvantages closed cockpits could have (with fire and stuff like that)
>>
>>75986662
If Bianchi was in a stock car I'm not sure the frame would've saved his head anyway.
Closed cockpit wouldn't have saved wheldon either
>>
>>75986407

F1 was dangerous back then because FIA banned active suspension cars were designed around.

>FIA impose stupid safety rules on tracks, car design, engine design, fuel, etc.
>Several F1 tracks get raped for muh safety
>Cars are made slower through engine regulations, slick tyres are banned, etc.

F1 cars were becoming too fast for the tracks used in F1. Same shit as with ground effects and turbos bit earlier.

>>75986464
>implying Senna's death was his fault

Senna lobbied for banning active suspension.

>implying anyone will believe you if you pull the "Senna overdrove his car" narrative because his steering wheel broke after just four laps

Steering column on Senna's car was broken on impact. Real reason why he couldn't steer is the fact that his car wasn't in contact with track. Also the steering column extension that broke on impact and would have broken up in couple races due to stress fractures on welding seams was made on his request.

Both Maria de Villota and Jules Bianchi crashes have some blame in their crashes (with the help of retarded people that put the trucks inside the track).

Seriously, how the fuck do you crash into a truck while doing speed tests on a straight line? (maria de villota)

And Bianchi was speeding on the track while there were yellow flags and aquaplaned in a clearly unsafe situation.

Wilson was just bad luck. Shit happens.

And Wheldon was the intrinsic danger of racing. Anything could have happened.

>>75986998
This.

Everything the FIA made to make the sport "safer" went to shit with Bianchi, which was 50% his fault and 50% FIA's fault.

Pretty sure all these people have deals with the devil, making them world famous in motorsports of their choosing but will have horrific accidents if they try anything else
>>
>>75986322
does not change the fact that bicycles cause more death than motos. im not talking about probability.

name literally one single instance in any open wheel series in the past ten years where the car's cockpit got engulfed in flames, either upside down or on all four wheels

Robberies on motorbikes are common in Brazil. So to Brazilians, motorcycles = crime.
