So they panick with the away goal rule and you see offensive shitfest in second legs.

In the old days of the European Cup it was just a straight knockout cup competition with 32 teams, the group stages were added to make more money and then more teams from each league were added based on coefficient.

If anything the next step is going to be a European Super League.
