The reason they cost so much ( deliberately so) is because theres no limit on time spent on death row, and they get multiple appeals

On top of all that bs, the governor can stay executions, causing further delays

If that wasn't enough, legal issues over the drugs they use keep slowing down executions

Should be limited to 1 appeal only, sentence is also carried out within 5 years (can only appeal within the first 3 years after initial trial) after the initial trail or within 1 year after a failed appeal

Combine that with a decent method of execution that isn't complexe and full of legal issues (firing squad is the way to go) and you would have a great system for efficiently executing scum.

Also, non of this maximum security BS for death row inmates

Build a couple of federal bunkers to store all death row felons and stick em in there, should all be automated cell blocks etc, shouldn't even need many guards
