Yeah, the refballing is bad, but robot referees aren't the answer. Video replay of offside calls and the ability to overturn them is what is needed here. Just expand replay to basically cover anything disputed.

Offside can be easily automatized. Any decent TV sports channel already has done it in fact.

2. Why would the league ever want to get rid of their house advantage

Very few leagues, American or international, will want to get rid of their own refballing power. They won't push for it, sports fans will have to.
