Schalke aren't bad, exactly. They're just really, really mediocre. They have a phenomenal youth academy but never capitalize on it (look at players like Ozil, Sane, Draxler, etc.). They have a decent amount of money (iirc they're the 3rd or 4th-richest team in Germany) but never properly use it.

Imagine Tottenham in England. Now imagine the exact opposite of Tottenham. That's Schalke. Great young talent, some decent money, a sort-of-large fanbase, and utter and total failure over and over again. They don't even get into a position to choke. They just fail long before that.

sept 17th 2010, 4chan shit the bed and the front page of /sp/ was stuck. no one could post and the threads wouldn't move.

Schalke also happened to shit the bed as well that day and lost 3-1 to dortmund. The very first post at the top of page was the guy here >>75308812 and just ">schalke"

the second post was a big black dude with a massive dick standing in a shower with a tiny white girl next to him up against the wall. the dortmund logo was over the black dude and schalke logo was over the white girl.

I only remember because i was going to an auburn game the next day, had season tickets that year.
