Nope.
19 to 18.
Horse fucking medals don't count.

The Horse is the athlete. The medal belongs to the Horse not the 75 year old jockey.

Women's sports are still more legitimate than horse dancing in which women beat the men all the time and you have 80 year olds (literally) "competing."
So let's remove horse dancing and women's sports. The count is 19-18.
Furthermore, the US won pretty much all of their medals in events not aided by a machine or animal of some kind.

A Javelin is thrown with 100% human power.
A bike can transport you without anything needed from the rider aside from the ever so demanding task of steering, like when you go down a hill.
If you don't think bikes "aid" you, try running 10 miles vs. biking 10 miles and get back to me.
Same with rowing. Row 20 miles and swim 20 miles.

They did not. 19-18.
I can't in good conscious count horse dancing. It's not fair to real athletes like Aston Eaton, Usain Bolt, Kyle Snyder, and synchronized swimmers.

Dumb argument. Not least because the horse jumps for Team GB so is still British as is, therefor, the medal.
Fine, I'll take the B8.
>Most F1 champions in history and favourites for this year
33 world champions so far, 7 of which are English. So, no, not most of them.
Also, 56 World Driver Championships have been disputed and only 11 of them won by English drivers.

>>75299843

>>75300062
Nice try, Mohammed.
But does the Javelin event feature cliffs in which competitors drop it off from?
Does a cycling road race feature hills in which riders can "coast" for a bit?
The Javelin event is powered by humans and only humans, even wind aided throws are adjusted. Cycling has many instances where the bike "does the work."
>>75300096
There's no "logic" being applied here. 18 medals in men's events + 1 mixed vs. 18 medals in men's events + 1 mixed.
And silvers are the first tie breaker, and we stomp you there.
So I guess you didn't even tie. Lol.

How very true.
>>75300100
and how do you think they got to the top of those hills bubba?
have you ever rode a bike?
cycling up and down hills is much more work than "100% human powered" flat riding
in any case in half of a javelin throw the javelin is moving down, pulled by gravity in order to get back to earth. So javelin is just as, if not more, gravity assisted by your logic

>"There's no "logic" being applied here"
There isn't, because it's not needed.
Only facts.
Applying "logic" is used when trying to deduce a certain outcome or support a premise when all the facts might not be present.
For example. The most popular baby name in the UK is Mohammed and its various spellings.
From this fact, we can "logically" deduce that there's a decent chance your name is probably Mohammed. I can't "factually" prove it, but I can logically make a compelling argument until you definitely prove other, Mohammed.

Can you or can you not take stop pedaling and still remain in motion on a bicycle?
Can you or can you not stop moving your legs and remain in motion while running?
Crappy point about gravity. A Javelin throw is actually working against gravity not aided by it. Wind is what aids a throw, and it's adjusted for.
A cyclist, on the other hand, can be "aided" by downhills in the form of "resting" during those periods as the bike transports him down. A cyclist can be aided even on flat land. A runner cannot.
Why do you think bicycles were invented in the first place? If they didn't make travelling easier, they'd never get off the drawing board.

1) Road cyclists don't coast down hills, they are working just as hard (but differently) going down as up.
2) Since, by your admission gravity and wind affect the javelin, that must be a less pure form of human exertion than cycling.
3) Your own clipping states that 67% answered correctly (ie not incorrectly). Learn a foreign language sometime. Like English.
>>75300276
>A Javelin throw is actually working against gravity not aided by it
just like a bike race then
:^)
no one said bikes don't make travelling easier (more efficient), and that is exactly why the olympic bike race was 150 miles and a marathon only 26
cycling=use energy to propel yourself up a hill, use gained GPE to come down
javelin=use energy to propel a stick in the air, use gained GPE to come down
suppose i can't blame you, must be hard to learn when your physics classes are constantly interrupted by mass shootings
>>75300339
>1) Road cyclists don't coast down hills, they are working just as hard (but differently) going down as up.
Sure. The bicycle was invented to make traveling over such obstacles "harder" to do.
Yes or no. Is running 20 miles over various terrain harder than biking it?
>2) Since, by your admission gravity and wind affect the javelin, that must be a less pure form of human exertion than cycling.
Gravity affects a throw "negatively." Do you understand what a g-force is and how human (or machine) power is needed to overcome them? Yes. Wind aids a throw, but it is adjusted for. The thrower doesn't get credited for additional distance via wind.
>3) Your own clipping states that 67% answered correctly (ie not incorrectly). Learn a foreign language sometime. Like English.
True. I got carried away in my insult. But the fact there remains that 79% of Americans answered correctly compared to 67% of Brits.
It's just another mark on the scoreboard of American superiority over British :^)
But you'll always have that Empire thing, I guess.
>>75299628
>Horse fucking medals don't count.
/pol/ will be dissapointed to hear this.
>>75300359
Good try,
But GPE in no way "assists" the athlete in a throwing event like it does in a bike race. There's no point in a throwing event where the thrower can use gravity to perform better.
A Javelin thrower would prefer to have some secret anti-gravity device so his throw would soar out into space.
A cyclist is "aided" by it in the form of gravity pulling him down the hill, which for him means less pedaling (and thus exertion).
Suppose I can't blame you. Must be hard to read and understand any of your science textbooks when Urdu is your first language.
>>75299596
today I will remind them
>>75300428
>lost 4 of the last 5 series
>>75300416
with no gravity the javelin never comes down
seeing as javelin throws are measured by the distance at which the javelin enters the ground, without gravity it would be impossible to make a legal, scorable throw
thereby javelin throws are not just aided by gravity, but are completely reliant on gravity doing the work of returning the skick to earth
>>75300445
>without gravity it would be impossible to make a legal, scorable throw
Who says?
If some guy could magically throw it 10 miles, I don't think the IAAF would object. They'd just extend the boundary somehow and hire more judges.
Also, quit spinning. A bike was a machine invented to make traveling easier and faster, reaching speeds no human being can on their own. Yes, a human provides the power, but the bike amplifies that power into levels that can reach 2000 watts. That's a shade below 3 horsepower. No human can achieve that on his own.
A human is just about 100% responsible for the distance a javelin travels. Again, gravity is not his friend here.
>>75300515
>the bike amplifies that power into levels that can reach 2000 watts
oh boy
stupidest thing i've read all day
how does a mechanical device, with the only power input being a human generate more power than a human?
with a 100% efficient bike (impossible) the system could only have a output power equal to the input power (the power put into the system by the rider)
> They'd just extend the boundary somehow and hire more judges.
the javelin would literally go into space and never stop
