Durant's absence showed the obvious during GSW's first half of the regular season: Curry's not a shooting guard, he needs to start with the ball and dribble into the game and into his own game, which is to absorb and confuse defenders so their teammates can have open shots and open ways to the rim.

Durant's going to be the key defensive player. He can match with anyone and still play small ball and be an extremely reliable go-to-guy for whatever his team needs.
