How can Americans enjoy football? I'm from /heem/ but fucking hell these hits make me feel sick. How could any parent let their kid play this sport? Don't these guys have careers for like 3 years for the most part?

>Following the 2014 season Cribbs appeared on an episode of ESPN's Outside the Lines, discussing concussions. Cribbs stated that a specialist at the Cleveland Clinic told the then 32 year old Cribbs that he had the brain of a person in his late 50s. He stated that despite the diagnosis he would continue to play in the NFL if possible, comparing himself to a smoker with late stage cancer who continued to smoke.[21]
Bruh.
Even mma is more reasonable than this. How long until there is a complete overhaul for football? Would it be safer if it was rugby style with no pads?

No wonder you're so gay. You're used to watching dyke fights and wannabe mandrama.

They're dead men walking. You can't expect to be yourself after this

damn.

It'd probably be safer if they made more rules about tackling so you have to drag them down as opposed to knocking them down

>kid gets concussed or dies
>he was weak
>kid is an alpha killing machine chad

Americaball weeds out the poor genes

The game is exciting and culturally very important where I live. However, it is painful to watch at times and sometimes I feel bad about it

If you teach kids to play football correctly you can avoid a lot of these hits. Not to mention CTE doesn't occur from individual huge hits to the head. CTE occurs over a long period of time.
>football in the old days
A brain injury is sustained from a hit. Instead of allowing the brain to heal and avoiding any contact for the next week or more, the player would continue playing. CTE comes about due to repeated blows to an already injured brain. You aren't going to get CTE from one concussion or even multiple concussions assuming your brain is given adequate time to heal between blows.

Big hits cause CTE, small hits cause CTE. At least accept the consequences of nigball.
It's great watching negros get wrecked.

Horseshit. I've been inside an nfl locker training facility, they have e charts with things like "intimidation hits" and "knockout hits". Just recently a coach for the saints got tape leaked saying "hats on head" (hit him helmet to helmet) and "kill the head" (knock frank gore unconscious).
Until you remove the helmet ala rugby, the most violent hit is the head on spear. Then murricans (which I am one) will cry and leave the game, or at least maybe they will, so as long as this sport makes money and the lies keep down the fire, we will have gladiatorball.
I personally am more a ufc guy now if only for the fact that each man has an equal chance at hitting the other, instead of this "follow the ball, ignore the blitzing linebacker" memeing that we get in the nfl. But the overall bullshit that goes into watching an nfl telecast is also tiresome, and I find myself turning them off more and more. This year I skipped the superbowl for the first time. Probably Saturday fight nights and Sunday outdoors or movies for me now.

You're about five years late on that fad chad. Manlets wearing infliction shirts haven't been since 7-1

I'm not going to hipster it out but I meant I am now pretty much solely an mma or combat sport guy. I was always into combat sports and watched ufc pretty faithfully from the first ultimate fighter days in 05. Other than that I tried some niggerball recently (used to play myself) and it felt forced watching it.
sleep tight memey
my exgf had 7 concussions from field hockey.
she was physically violent, paranoid, unable to follow complex conversations, and engaged in risk-taking behavior, and a massive binge drinker.
she also loved animals.
lots of fun. i think she works with children now.

People die playing field hockey mate

Why don't they just mandate soft helmets?

Deserved to die
>>74975471
No need, no one has died or been seriously injured yet
There should be a recognition that throwing into dangerous situations is the problem
Everyone I play with knows you don't throw across the middle if you don't want to be destroyed, yet people blame the defense
It's not like offense is in short supply
Also the more safety equipment you give them the more reckless they become

Are you stupid?
