I don't know. I posted the photos without comment (sorry for the back-to-back posts but I thought it was information worth seeing) cause I'm not sure how I feel about it.

On the one hand, I'm pretty damn sure the Rays forced Archer to come back. On the other hand, Roark may have been under pressure to return to camp too, but didn't. Perhaps USA feels Archer could have resisted a bit more to stay in camp and help out 2nd round?

I'm also down with the "Dance with the one that brought you" concept, but then they're bringing in Melancon for the final round, so...

Can we all agree that not having the best players was actually better in the end?

Sure, we could have won every game by mercy rule but what fun is that really? What made the WBC so special was that each team felt like they had a chance. Even Israel made some noise.

I just want to thank the WBC for giving us such a fun tournament.

My biggest problem is the tournament style.

I would def like semis to be best 2/3. I'm not sure about the finals. Really I'd like for the first round robin, the teams in each pool to play each other twice, but I understand there are serious scheduling limitations so I'd be happy with semis being 2/3.
