Maybe but NBA teams only have 15 players to pay compared to other leagues and a huge TV deal and ad revenue to help pay for those players. Guys like Parsons are also extremely fortunate to have been a free agent these past two years. More big salaries will come in the near future with the CBA renegotiation, too. But in two years salaries will normalize a bit.

But rather I think it says something about how little other leagues pay their players. Someone like Ronaldo, if anything, is underpaid.

Not that many are making what he is per year guaranteed. Plus baseball players spend literally 1/3rd of the year playing baseball games, and that's not counting travel or practice.
