it's enormous but it lacks verticality, the seats extend toward the horizon instead of going up as they would in Mestalla or Bernabeu. the lack of roofing makes the atmosphere a lot less oppressing as well. a last minute goal feels and sounds a lot more intense at Bernabeu than it does at Camp Nou, generally speaking

anyways, I went a game at the Emirates a few years ago and what really shocked me was how you're walking around this dense urban neighborhood of smaller 2-3 story buildings then you turn the corner and then there's this huge stadium out of nowhere.
