I think Shaq is just insecure because Kobe's legacy overshadowed his, despite the fact that Shaq was probably the better player when they were on the Lakers. Then when he went to Miami and was on the decline, that was clearly Wade's team.

He's never really been "the guy" on his team, except briefly in Orlando.
