England's "golden" generation was shit

Golden generation had rivals like Brazil and the current generation has rivals like Iceland and Pub league teams.

Portugal had Figo, Deco, Cristiano, Ricardo Carvalho.
That generation was better than England's. A bunch of other teams were too.

2002 we were obviously the 2nd best team in the tournament and were unlucky to face the best team so early and even then we almost beat them

Losing to Portugals golden generation twice is no shame.

He's still the best manager we've had this century. Would have liked to see Capello with the golden generation though, it's amazing to see how utterly shite the squad was in 2010.
