Story time.

I don't want to post a full thing here because I'm almost thoroughly convinced I had found her. I posted in the last thread, but she added me from elsewhere a few days ago.
We're in different countries, but this time that honestly didn't bother me. We had an amazingly fun conversation the entire afternoon - talked about nature, vidya/animu, cosplay and fashion, our shared odd tastes in music and vinyl collecting, differences in our respective cultures, and a bunch of other shit very awkwardly almost nonstop, and I haven't seen her at all since. Not just silent/unresponsive, just hasn't signed back in since then.
I can't make any assumptions - I've been telling myself, hey, maybe she just does this sometimes or went somewhere, I mean at this point there's no reason I need to know, or maybe she is actually ignoring me which is fine, I can move on from something like that - but much of me is genuinely concerned something might have happened to her.
She was goddamn perfect - I don't even know what she looked like and honestly don't even mind if we had just remained friends because talking to her was more fun than I've had interacting with another person in ages. I just want to be sure I'm overthinking and worrying about nothing.

I understand your sentiments completely. To add, I'm really shy and inexperienced in terms of friendship, romance and such while being in my late 20s, partly because I grew up on the internet too and now work (freelance) thanks to it.
An additional difficulty is that everyone seems to want to do things quickly, while I need some time to open up for even small personal things, let alone relationships. I like to browse through these threads because it makes me dream as you put it. Being in Europe limits my choice greatly and the internet is all I've got.
Soon I won't be able to dream anymore, years will pass in a blink of an eye and I will have a list of regrets. Until then I will dream a little more.
