Using humor to talk about things like depression/suicide and the problems with society. Possibly a dead baby joke here or there. Most women are at least somewhat miserable because of the state of things, dark humor is an easy way to forge a connection. It's usually because we percieve those who "get" dark humor to be smarter.

I find that feature attractive in guys and girls because I generally find people with a dark sense of humor to be emotionally stable. That is, they've thought enough about mortality and the frail nature of life that they can joke about yet still holding life dear and precious.
