I have this problem too. I've been growing it out for like, 18 months. If I don't condition the hell out of it, use penetrating oil, and then use leave in conditioner it stands straight up and turns into a tangled mess of dry wiry fuzz.

I think getting rid of dating accounts can help at times. My last relationship was a nightmare, and I met her through Tinder. She was the only one who didn't ghost me (because she was a Koreaboo and everyone else got turned off by my autistic longposting), and I spent the next 3 months trying to deal with her suicidal episodes (she refused to go back to therapy and stopped taking meds once we started dating).

Personally, I think I need to stay away from dating until I figure my own shit out, so I stop settling for suicidal girls. I think it's because I sabotage myself when I meet someone I really like, and I end up just being friendly with them.
