My wife and I are traveling to Miami in July and I'd like to try and convince her to go to a swingers club (Miami Velvet or Trapeze). We have never swung before but love to go clubbing and dancing. Any suggestions on how to convince her to try it?

Ask her to go. Don't say you want to participate, Just that you are curious and want to see what it's like.
If she agrees then gauge her reaction there.

Trapeze is better. Velvet is full of old Venezuelans and is outrageously priced.

This. Be open about your curiosity. Lying about thinking it's just a normal nightclub will make her feel like she can't trust you, which will pretty much ruin your chances of going again.
Just stick to "we don't have to do anything, I just want to see what goes on".
